Im not gonna take their word for anything until i see actual third party testing. Im pretty skeptical on a first time ev somehow beating all the competition that had YEARS worth of practice

Stellantis could have been watching, learning, and practicing behind the scenes for years. Watching the competition, learning from the successes and failures of other companies, and testing and prototyping their own. I wouldnt be so pessimistic.

Range stats are almost allways in the WLTP cycle, if the vehicle has lower drag coefficient, its range is likely to stay true to the official range, if not then figures may change a lot
Regardless, its not a first EV, stellantis is a sucessfull EV player in Europe already, and is likely to take more market share in the coming years. The company took decaying, unprofitable brands and completly turned them around (ex: Opel and Alpha Romeo), so its clear that they have good leadership. Furthermore, because of the merger they gained enough negotiating power for multiple JV's in all of the EV supply chain

@@NoneNone-ky4es They were not an EV player in the US but that doesn't mean they weren't an EV player at all, stellantis has been selling EV's in Europe for quite sometime and they already surpassed Tesla (in Europe)

Being a large American vehicle platform, this deserves to have a V8 as well, not just an I6. This would be reminiscent of many large American cars until the 1980s to 1990s which were offered with both an I6 and a V8.

They can't because they wont pass either fleet or single emissions

The Ford Mustang just entered its next generation and it’s still available with a V8. Furthermore, Ford swore that they would keep offering a V8 in the Mustang forever no matter what. Maybe it uses technology to reduce emissions and have 8 cylinders at the same time.

I have owned Newports and 300s since 1965 to my current late model 300. I guess my current one is my last because I will never buy a glorified golf cart even if you put 1969 Super Bird body panels and wings on it. Hopefully Stellantis will go bankrupt.
