- As I'm sure you've heard by now, the Hemi-powered Chargers and Challengers are out, replaced with the next-gen battery-electric Daytona Charger. This will be a full comparison between the most recent 2023 gas powered 6.4L Hemi Charger Scat Pack, and the upcoming 2024 BEV AWD Charger Daytona Scat Pack. Both carry the Charger name, so let’s see how good of a replacement the new Daytona Scat Pack is and which areas each car might be better or worse in. Using all of the information available so far, watch along as I compare the exterior, paint colors, weight, wheels and brakes, performance including 0-60, ¼ mile, top speed, and range, racing features, the interior, and the suspension, and more!

I love both of them but the daytona's styling reminds me more of the 70's chargers/current challengers which I love more than the current ones

Dodge literally could’ve printed money if they gave all these upgrades to the charger and challengers while still keeping the same exterior….the EVs are gonna flop so hard.
The EV Version will do well on 0-60 performance, but will get killed in roll races to the gas versions due to their weight and lowered top speed. I would be interested in the I-6 twin-turbo versions that will also be available in AWD later next year.

To this day i still suspect the 6.4 real hp is around 500 to 530hp, early 2011~14 must do 500 and 515 for 2015~18 and finally 530 for 2019~23, not sure about the torque though....

@@CJColvin That would be risky and kinda dumb, it would be more viable to just release the Cougar under the Lincoln brand and start as some sort of limited edition to test the waters, maybe something to go against the Cadillac CTS-V Blackwing

I have to have a car that I take to the gas station, you can get some really tasty food there nowadays. Once in a while, I pick up some lottery tickets & my huge fountain drink, so sitting around at the electric charging stations is terrible!

The only thing good about the unreleased chargers that i heard was that you can upgrade the hp through dlc instead of tweaking the motor🤣🤣 since there's no motor.

I am the very proud owner of a 2023 Charger RT Daytona in Octane Red. I see NOTHING that this new Charger brings to the table that makes me regret my purchase of the 2023 model, or anything that has me wanting to get rid of my '23 model to purchase this bland, overpriced EV. Pass.
If I want a REAL EV there are other more established and better performing options. With a 365 Day plus inventory supply of new Ford Mach-E's, this should be an omen to Dodge on what is coming in the next 12 months, not a good time to be a Dodge sales representative.

Seeing them side by side really confirms the lack of character the ev has compared to the predecessor. Doesn't look nearly as menacing. Although it's not horrible to look at. I do wish they would have kept the side scallops to give it that Charger iconic look. Always great vids Mars!

Bull crap on the gas prices, in California we are paying 5.29- about 6.29 for a gallon of gas, my 2010 challenger RT cost me a little over $110 for a full tank of gas right now, you have to be making good money to afford gas on these things now, atleast in California

Meanwhile, they're losing over 2 billion dollars a year not selling the older cars. The clock is ticking. What's hanging under the front end and what happens when you hit it? And if the power units are putting out 333hp, two isn't going to make it 666. It'll still be 333 with twice the torque. I notice you didn't mention the price. I'm guessing double the 2023. I love the fake exhaust which must be speakers. At least they have a mock up, which is more than they had a year ago. Two years after they announced it.
600+hp is nice but when the electric charger weights 8000lbs its going to be slooooow
