As a Lusophile, I watch a lot of Portuguese content, including ex-pat channels, and I'm here to say that now it's official. You guys are the besht on RUclips. The BESHT! The award is in the correios. Parabens. Cheers from Toronto.
They have been the besht forever haha No other Portuguese Vlog channel (and there is a shitload of them these days poppin up) even compares. Stay Classy #1. From your Portuguese-Canadian neighbour down the 401 in Hamilton haha
I agree the best most refreshing and non politically correct fantastic video on RUclips stuff. Now what was Amelia’s reaction of the rowdy Porto male fans in the last game you both went to? 😂
The only bad thing about your vlogs is that they're so short, I always want more!! Now you've given me an excuse to visit Porto for the millionth time, gotta go eat at the places I didn't know before!
To be honest, if you are going to eat like a portuguese you would start with soup. Have salad on your plate, rustic bread to the side (no matter what you are eating) and dessert would be fruit. The meals themselves would be varied: rice, potatoes, pasta, beans, meat, fish and other seafood, vegetables, boiled, fried, grilled. We like variety. Our lovely pastry, traditional, traditional inspired or modern has a place, as well as other desserts but they are treats for when you go out or festive days. You would drink red wine or water. A perfectly good peasant meal, specially if lunch was heavy, used to be olives, cheese, chorizo, a tomato from the garden, dried figs and bread. Good portuguese bread.
You should do an episode on bread. From Broa de milho, pão alentejano, pão de Mafra, carcaças, the traditional Broa de carne...portuguese bread is one of the best things we have.
As someone from Porto, great cover! Yuko has the best francesinha and pataniscas for me. You should visit during S.João and try sardinhas! Also, you’re missing tripas!
You guys are great. Nice video. We can see you genuinely like Portugal. Among all the good things, I think the food is probably the ex libris. Foreigners have no idea how good our food is. We have more "cod" dishes in Portugal (which is a small country) than the complete menu of food from a large country like Brazil. We cook "cod" for over 100 different ways, and we still have in any fish market 30 or more phish varieties always ready to go. You can spend a year in Portugal eating traditional food every day and not repeat a single dish.
I had my first francesinha in Braga last month and it was epic. I've been told the main difference between the francesinha in Braga and Porto is the sauce and I cannot wait to visit Porto to give it a try. This was a great video. I used to watch your videos awhile ago and your recent style has me interested again and I will be following. Thanks for your hard work.

I had a great vegetarian francesinha a few weeks ago in Porto and it was amazing. It was at a little bakery and unfortunately, I can't remember the name. It way better than I imagined. I was so stuffed and eating it but it was worth it!
portuguese batatas fritas are always yummmmmmm y . My Vovo used to make them for me sometimes when i came home from school and my mum was at work … she’d say ‘queres tosata ? cha? queres batas fritas?’. yes vovo batatas fritas please ! 🤣🤣🤣🙌🙏💜🇬🇧delicious 😋 just a snack till dinner time !
Just a suggestion . Come to Porto for a week between 23-30 . There are 2 huges popular parties . S.João(John) in Porto and S.Pedro (Peter) in Póvoa de Varzim ( very near Porto ) i bet you will enjoy everything .
You came here to Porto to eat hotdogs? I'm British and when I was a student in England I used to buy cheap return ferry tickets from Harwich to Esbjerg which included a 4 hour round coach trip to Ribe so that I could eat at the pølser stand in the main street. I have communicated before and have told you that I subsequently ended up living in Denmark and I'm sure it was due to the lure of those sausages and all those toppings! More cookery videos please! 😉
