Great video comparison. Now that just made my decision harder watching this. I was all set on the low pro, but I'm kind of digging the bubble look of the old school ones. But still like the low pro look too
Thanks fo rthe video definitely helped me decide. Weird I thought I'd like the low profile more and after seeing your video I like the regular better. Thanks again... My Taco is gonna look good!
Not trying to pick at the low pro but the passenger rear noticeably buckles inwards. Is that an instillation issue or manufacturing flaw? Asking because I’m on the fence as to which to go with.
First install on all my vehicles. A must if you have dogs. A little carburetor cleaner on a rag will take the letters off unless you want to advertise for them.
My concern on the low profile is what the video showed and Nick noticed about the buckle.I think the normal AVS has more forming strength to help with this issue. I'm going with the in channel. Thank you for the video.
In order to help minimize the amount of rain coming in when the window is lowered, they must flare out as much as possible. Therefore low profile is not ideal.
Glad yall made the vid. You can definitely see the difference. I like the low pro look. Whats the part # for the low profile vent shades. Thx for the video
Taco Twonz - where did you order the Low Profile In-Channel visors? Everywhere I'm going they're showing pictures of low profile vent visors by AVS that are NOT in-channel install. They're actually showing an outside mount with 3M tape. Appreciate you sharing the video.
@@Runnin4Tacos thanks for the help. Interesting, it doesn't say they are "in-channel" vent visors. It just calls them low profile. But I went thru some of the reviews and found a Tacoma owner who mentioned that it doesn't say "in-channel", but they really are "in-channel". Ordered them, can't wait to get them and install. One more question, how much taller are the low-profile vs. the standard in-channel in your comparison? Can't find height dimensions anywhere to see how much more of the window they cover and it appears that AVS is owned by Lund International and their site doesn't even give dimensions. Are they a full inch taller? 1/2 inch? Hard to tell in the video. Thanks again for the response.
They both look great the low profile looks like it sags in a little bit more on the back window..... And is there a sound difference between the two when going down the road?
Did the in channel avs scratched the top section of windows? I bought the in channel Climart and the visors scratched the heck out of my windows from making contact with when i roll it up.
Thinking about getting the low profile, but as it sits closer to the window, its difficult to wash that part of the window and the vent shade's inside part.
@@RafaelR18 Don't open the headlights, you'll likely ruin the seal and end up with condensation in them constantly. There's no logical reason to open them and replacing them after you ruin them will cost you $1400
My low profile rear visor bulks out when I roll up my window, any suggestion to fix the rear bulk out when rolled up? Seems like a factory issues with the unit pack I have it sits sleek in the rear when the window is door but rolled up it’s push out to the middle of the visor.
I had the outside stick on type on my '02 Dakota Quad Cab. I didn't like that they made a significant amount of wind noise at highway speed. A noticable differance after they were installed. AVS doesn't make a low profile for my truck, so I just bought the in channel version. Haven't installed them yet, but hoping they don't add wind noise like the outside mount did. I couldn't find any low profile by any brand for my Dakota. Anyone aware of one?
Bruh really lol your other video you said they was low profile and I purchased them and installed it today as soon as I got them. 2 hours have gone by and I’m just seeing this video guess I got regular ones hahaha too late now but at least they don’t look bad but now You got me thinking lol
Nai Saephan my original install video are the regular ones but in this video I put the low profile ones on and the low profile ones are way better in my opinion
@@Runnin4Tacos How do you put on the low profile ones? No one ever mentions how it is put on, not even the sellers ? I don't get that, what is the missing info?

I like the regular ones best. Gives a better bulk look!

Still make the car look better
I just logged in and ordered the correct ones thx for the video. Im returning the others asap.
Exactly what I did lol
Low profile cover to much window! I like the normal ones better they actually look more profile.
Awesome video comparison

Daniel Gonzalez I'm glad it helped! The link is in the description
I like both but for now im rocking the regular ones.
Both look good honestly
Thanks for making this video. I like the low profile one. Will be getting it soon for 4runner.
Glad we can help!

Amazon, if you type in AVS low profile Tacoma it should pop up

Sid Capps couldn't tell you sorry, I didn't look at that at all
Just use Amazon... they give you 3 choices to pick from.
Yeah but how well do the low pro ones work?
that's what i'd like to know
How are they 5 years later
They both look great the low profile looks like it sags in a little bit more on the back window..... And is there a sound difference between the two when going down the road?
It's the same amount of noise
I see “low profile” and “low profile matte black” options on Amazon. Any difference between those?
Matte black is a solid color compared to a tint
Now does this fit on the access cab model? Are the front doors the same size for 4 door and 2 door?
Where can I get the low profile visors?
Like The Regular On A Truck.....👍🏻
So are the slim ones in channel too?
Thanks
How is the low profile “in channel”? The ones in the link are over and not in.
How are they holding up, and do you think weathertech are better?
We like them better
Did the in channel avs scratched the top section of windows? I bought the in channel Climart and the visors scratched the heck out of my windows from making contact with when i roll it up.
Any wind noise from either product, or any trouble with the window regulator going out
Was too excited about this item and purchased the wrong one.. getting the Low profile
Rath Khiev exactly what I did the first time 😂
@@Runnin4Tacos I actually clicked on the link on your first video. Just saw this video today. hahahah.
Rath Khiev oh lol no wonder. Glad you got the right one now
Which one is considered the wrong one?
Will these work on a 2nd Gen DBL Cab?
Thinking about getting the low profile, but as it sits closer to the window, its difficult to wash that part of the window and the vent shade's inside part.
Actually, as they don't sit on the window glass, you can just lower the window until you have easy access
I have a weird fluttering noise when my driver's window is open. Will these help that?
Did you guys make a video of his headlights your painting?
We did NOT because it was the worst thing to open those headlights haha
Taco Twonz so you wouldn’t recommend doing it then ?
Or any tips ?

The ones on the orange trucks look better IMO, they both look good though.
what’s the difference between low profile matte black and low profile?
It should be matte black or gloss black
@@Runnin4Tacos okay just installed the matte black they were $20 cheaper then the gloss idk why
Do those cause your window tints to peel off?
No it does not
I'd prefer the regular ones but can't seem to find the in channel ones for my truck
Will these fit a 2021

Chris P one of mine does that too slightly, I replaced it twice and no change. It's the rubber piece on the window not the visor
thanks for the info, I'm assuming yours is on the rear driver side visor too @@Runnin4Tacos
Where i can buy the low profile ventvisor? Glossy one?
Amazon is where we got them.
Low profile ones! I ordered the wrong ones. I wanted the low profile ones.
You have any problems with them falling out?
Is this a question or a statement? "Do you have any problems with them falling out?" Is the proper way to ask a question in English.
Nevermind
Matt needle dik
low profile, for sure!
What about putco brand?
TRD Pro never heard of it
Are the Low Profile ones in channel mount as well?
No
Does the 4 runner 5th gens have low profile ones? If so can you help me and send a link pls
The low profile are useless if it’s raining.
Buy the in track style
I’ve had both
I like the Low profile
No discussion on in or out channel?
Will it fit a 2019 Tocoma?
Anyone know if these will fit on a 2020 taco??
I have the regular on my 2020 Tacoma Offroad and love them.. So yes they do haha
I like the red guards better
I think low profile looks better on a SUV
Which ones make more noise when driving in highway?
Are the low profile window visors in channel?
