Gotta love a good Crawfish boil and that was killer bro!!! So happy to see you and Chris together again. Wishing I could have been there for that feast!!! Cheers brother Rus!!!!
Thanks Troy, Keith and I appreciate you checking it out brother! Would love to have you over for a crawfish boil! That would be awesome! Cheers brother!
Good to see you and Keith together again. Good tips. Cool bags. Love all ya'll added to it. I'm going to say he has done this many times, lol. I use to hunt crab. All turned out awesome!
As always another phenomenal crawfish annual boil this year! I’m in a small country town in Florida and my fish market orders crawfish fresh from Louisiana cooked and live every season. We’ve had them twice this season and of course after watching you gentlemen we will be having a batch again this week, yum! Thanks for uploading fellas:)
Thank you and that's awesome that your getting crawfish brought in to Florida. I have a friend in the Tampa area that can get them too that were brought in from Louisiana. Thanks for watching, we all appreciate it!
Not sure if y’all remember me Russ (I made several comments years ago) but y’all taught me how to do a boil through your videos. I’m on my 4th annual crawfish boil (here in N.C. where it’s expensive to get them) I won’t be able to afford it this year due to me being in a tight spot but again, this will be saved to my favorite videos for next year to follow. Great vid guys, keep on keeping on.
I do remember you Stephen! Glad we were able to help you out with your boils and so you know, expense is the reason you only see me do this once a year! It gets pretty expensive here too, but I was able to pull off two crawfish boils this spring which I think is a first for me. I will however do another shrimp boil around September. It’s became tradition at this point. Take care and cheers!
Smoky Ribs BBQ - Thanks for taking time to respond. I can get blue crab like crazy here from the Pamlico river. When they want to cooperate that is. So maybe I’ll get lucky and get a few dozen of those and they can be a low end replacement for some mud bugs ;).
I always love the team up. Got 12 pounds of frog bone in the pantry ready for my May 11th crawfish boil here in Tylertown, ms. Thanks for sharing yet another great boil video!
Hey we appreciate it a bunch! Enjoy your crawfish boil! So you know, 1st and 2nd place in the West Bank Crawfish cookoff in New Orleans were both using Frog Bone boil seasoning yesterday. I thought that was pretty awesome!
I'm a NOLA boy born, raised and lived 40 years. Been in Houston since Katrina. In Texas they like to put "Cajun dust" on the crawfish when they come out the water. I tell I keep trying to explain to people here that if they are done right you don't need to dust them. I say "try them without dusting first and if you still want dust be my guest". 9 out of 10 people agree dusting is a waste. Great boil man!
Here in Chicago, we don't have enough of this. I'm literally on your guys' channels every night just enjoying this delicious food you guys are all making along with that awesome hospitality. One day... :)
Man, every time I see that boil boss I want one. I have to pull the trigger on one soon. Another great boil Russ. I love Frog bone products! Cheers brother.
They work wonders Jaxx! Yeah Keith has got some really good products. Just made a bloody mary with his new mix and it is GOOD! Thanks for checking it out brother! Cheers!
HEY RUS , that was one hell of a video man I really enjoyed that very much. You absolutely explained everything you need to know about how to boil crawfish. Your friend helping you and you Rus were very smart in knowing how to make that crab boil work. The ingredients were right on point especially the spice that you put in there. I had to laugh when you told that kid to jump in and eat some crawfish his face told it all when he jumped in , like holy cow that stuff is hot. AWESOME JOB MY FRIEND. GOD BLESS YOU.!!!!!!
Hi guys! That is such can awesome experience, I like the idea of keeping everything in their bags as they are, its easier that way. Great video Rus, thank you for sharing as always
101st like as I saw on my end. I need you as a neighbor. I dislike mine,,lmao looked killer as always Russ!! Keith Tripp’s me out with those white mud boots and not in the swamp haha!!!
Oh man! It's been a while since I had me some crawfish! I'm going to have to have some shipped out to California and have a boil. I'm about to try me some Frog Bone for the 1st time!! Thanks guys!
Smoky Ribs BBQ Heyyy! I also wanna acknowledge your efforts for taking care of your community and showing your special hosts the respect and merit they deserve. Your passion and knowledge in all southern food is amazing. True inspiration sir, #morethanAChef
You guys have revolutionized my crawfish boils (I think I've watched all of your and Frog Bone's boil videos). I use the puree method along with cooling to 150F (though I just use one pot like here) and it's just so good. I also add additional onions and garlic whole since I like to eat them with the crawfish. You guys make it slightly hotter than this Northern boy does though...;)
Damn Rus that looks awesome! It’s definitely on the bucket list to get down to the south to get in on one of these boils. Looks like such a good time. Cheers brother
Thanks for checking it out CJ! We always look forward to crawfish season. Always a lot of fun to hang out and eat crawfish and drink cold beer! Cheers brother!
What an awesome vid Rus. Wow, those crawdad's looked totally scrumptious. I've seen your shrimp and crawdad boils in earlier vids and thank to Frog Bone he explained exactly how much water needed to get a proper level and boil. Very cool....er.....HOT! Thanks for sharing and enjoy your Crawdad's before the season ends. I'm still dealing with about 2 feet of snow on the ground up here and I can't wait for Summer Cheers Rus!
I hope you get to try a crawfish boil oneday. We always look forward to this time of year so we can invite friends and enjoy some good eats. Thanks for watching, we appreciate it!
Really enjoyed it Rus ! I always get good tips on boiling mudbugs from you and Frogbone . Living in North Louisiana as we do we pay out the ying yang for crawfish but I still love boiling them one time every spring. Thanks man !
Dang Russ, I swear I was sitting here salivating watch you guys slurp on those crawfish.....I could almost smell those spices and the aroma!! My fish market just had 20 lbs of Louisiana crawfish delivered to them and I was able to snag 5 lbs. They were precooked but still yummy. Can't wait to see the new pot you are getting ready to show us soon. I was getting ready to buy a LOCO pot and burner but will wait to see what you recommend. Great job as always!!👍
LOL, these boil videos can make someone hungry for sure! Glad you got you some crawfish! We always hate when they go out of season. We start craving them but always look forward to spring, mainly for crawfish LOL. Yeah, I should be showing that pot towards the end of the month.
I love your videos so much, thank you for taking the time to make them. It makes me feel like I’m in the backyard at home boiling crawfish with friends! Keep up the good work✌🏻
I just love watching you 2 do a crawfish boil! This Pennsylvania Yankee is fixin to do a crawfish boil this summer! I'll be following your videos to a T so I don't screw it up lol
You guys do a great job that’s a great style of boiling Almost exactly how I do it Only comment would be is that I like to put the mushrooms in just a couple minutes later, cuz they soak up so much spice Other than that you boys are on point and I’m from the westbank
Hey Russ! Awesome video. I learned a few things to try at my next boil! Couple things I add is chicken tenders and I try to make the drive to Louisiana to get get some boudin to drop in! Thanks for the video keep up the good work!
Great video. I love crawfish and always look to see how other people make theirs. The only thing I disagree with people doing is putting the crawfish out on the table. I prefer to keep them in an ice chest or something closed to make sure they stay hot.
It's more of a traditional thing for friends and family to stand around the table to eat and socialize, but I guess those sort of things are over with, for now anyway. Thanks for watching!
I'm from Baton Rouge love your videos.. I do's mine a little different.. Add the potatoes with seasonings onions garlic etc etc.. Once come to a boil I add the crawfish and Sosage..Once it comes back to a boil I add the frozen corn allow cooking for 2 more minutes then turn pot off...I let soak for 20 minutes. Don't have one of them fancy gager's like you have yet for cooling the pot down still adding ice and a water hose to the outside of the pot maybe you can send me a link where I can buy one lol
I think I’ve seen all of Russ’s boil videos. All look amazing and very well explained every step along the way. But why keep everything in the cloth boil bags in this video?
