@@KaraandNate I would definitely recommend if you ever come back to Colorado that you try spending way more time in Lake City. Best Ice Cream Ever! And There’s a fourteener there called Uncompaughre and I would definitely recommend the hike and the town is extremely beautiful

Also thank you guys for going above and beyond to showcase nothing but the good in every place you visit!! For anyone who has not had crawfish, they are anatomically the same as a lobster in terms of eating them. That means the meat is mainly in the tail with some in the claws. No meat in the body of the crawfish. Also, they are >craw < fish and not crayfish or mud bugs. Hint: If the cooked crawfish's tail is not curled that means it was dead when it went into the boiling water. I don't eat those.
Just so much appreciation for you guys. Your normal travel got sorted because of Covid so u guys branched into travelling usa and exploring different careers/lifestyles. Honestly thank you for keeping me entertained during this yogurt time for me !
The ppl in the south are the best ppl i've ever met. They're so laid back and living up in the north it's like a whole new world. East coast not so much but the mid south is just so amazing.
Born and raised in Louisiana and love my home state. Can’t wait for crawfish season. Now I personally like my crawfish very spicy and super juicy. There is a place in Minden, Louisiana that I think makes the best crawfish
I loved everything about this video. Please make more of these videos from varied states of the USA with different types of people you interact with ! Such cool bunch of folks doing something great !

This is so cool! Crawfish is such a big, traditional deal in Sweden usually reserved for fishing and eating in August. Seeing this really puts that in perspective!
I just came across this vid. As a Louisiana (NOLA) native who also lives below the I-10, I loved this video. Glad y'all got to experience what a crawfish berl is all about, food, friends/family, and drinks.
Went searching for this video! Loved that you came to my state. And it's true, South Louisiana and North Louisiana are 2 totally different cultures. I still eat my crawfish, though. Even if I am from the North/Central part of the state.
I live in Louisiana and its so funny how you thought that plate of crawfish was big its small to me 😂 also I feel like people never get to see the work that goes into farming them so this is great! Ps. My pet crawfish Curtis says hi!
We've been thinking of moving to the South for a few months and your videos are definitely getting me excited about it! Looks like a lot of good food and good people!
@@kaceycole1174 Not gonna lie, that humidity has me a little worried LOL We get 110 degree weather in the summer, but rarely get above 45% humidity here. My husband keeps trying to find a sweet spot that won't be too bad for tornados or hurricanes; so any input is appreciated!
Coloradans are going to hate me for this 😅 and it's not considered the south but the Denver area climate is dry heat, little humidity and hot summers. Denver has mild winters compared to the Northeast (NY) where I'm from. Like the city doesn't have plows lol. When everyone thinks of Colorado they think of mountains and snow. There's a lot of that too in the mountain range. Denver is a desert climate. Look up the weather. It's getting crowded. Everyone's moving to CO. I recently moved out and that's one thing I don't miss. But for good reason, it's an undeniably BEAUTIFUL state. Sorry this is a long winded way of saying, Denver, CO may have the weather you're looking for ☺️.

It's so funny to be watching this video right now, as I am a huge fan of y'all and y'all were 15 minutes away from where I am from in Louisiana. Crawfish is such a huge industry around here, yet it is so interesting to see the food we eat regulary is truly farm to table. Great job Kara and Nate (And Madison!). Love from Louisiana!
Hey K&N!! I enjoy your videos soo much! Thank you for the midweek content! Live in Austin Texas and missed y'all by a day when you traveled to bucees! Have y'all ever thought about doing cameo?
As a loyal Louisiana viewer, I’m so happy you guys got to have an authentic crawfish experience. I remember when Kara held up the crawfish in an early Philippines video and complained about how you’re supposed to eat it. My Louisiana heart was crushed. Lol. Another authentic crawfish boil experience would be to dump all of the crawfish and veggies out on a big table, and all of the people stand around the table and eat directly from the pile. And nothing washes crawfish down better than a cold beer. Hope you enjoyed your time in Louisiana! Laissez les bons temp rouler!
In some parts of East Texas near Dallas, the ground water table is so high there actually are subterranean Crayfish under the soil. These Crayfish are smaller and come to the surface in a hole with a mound around it. I do not think these are the type people do eat though.

I’m a Louisiana crawfish eating girl! Great job showing these wonderful people and how hard they work! Makes me hungry for some crawfish!
Wow, that is mad, I never knew this was how they were caught. Junior has some mad skills 7 seconds is incredible!
The ppl in the south are the best ppl i've ever met. They're so laid back and living up in the north it's like a whole new world. East coast not so much but the mid south is just so amazing.
So happy they posted twice this week
Thank you for posting you 😍😍 love from Africa
Born and raised in Louisiana and love my home state. Can’t wait for crawfish season. Now I personally like my crawfish very spicy and super juicy. There is a place in Minden, Louisiana that I think makes the best crawfish

- Wise words from Kara, 2021
LOL I can’t hide it 🧠🙈
I loved everything about this video. Please make more of these videos from varied states of the USA with different types of people you interact with ! Such cool bunch of folks doing something great !
We appreciate that you guys are still posting fun and exciting videos even during a deadly pandemic!! Keep going!!
Honestly, is there anyone in America still quarantined?!
I love seeing you guys so close to me! Every time I see Nate in the Buckee onesie I cheer! Texas native but right on that Texas Louisiana line. Cajun blood 🧡

When Kara and Nate posts a video on Sunday: 😃
When Kara and Nate posts another video in the same week: 😂😭😂 [tears of joy]
P.S.
Thanks for the heads-up on the Sunday Summary
This is so cool! Crawfish is such a big, traditional deal in Sweden usually reserved for fishing and eating in August. Seeing this really puts that in perspective!
Love this! "If it's brown, put it down" 🤣🤣
You guys sure are dedicated to you’re work. Early mornings and late nights are what gets me. Keep doing what you’re doing!!! You’re both amazing
Yayyyyy I’m early . But I’m so happy for this going right now . I got up at 7 am for this
☕️👏🏻🤗
Wow you were seriously waiting 👏
These guys need a go fund me! This is the exact kind of business that needs love! Small business for the win!
Bonus episode?!! What did we all do to be so lucky?!!
I just came across this vid. As a Louisiana (NOLA) native who also lives below the I-10, I loved this video. Glad y'all got to experience what a crawfish berl is all about, food, friends/family, and drinks.
How humble he is! It’s amazing to have that acreage and like he said being outside all day with nature is the best part c:
Love this one!!! Welcome to the crawfish club. When they are in season, they are LIFE for us Southerners.
I’ve lived in Louisiana my whole life, and the way Kara said Boudain.... it killed me
Same! Lmao
ikkk
YESS a lot of northerners also say crayfish
Went searching for this video! Loved that you came to my state. And it's true, South Louisiana and North Louisiana are 2 totally different cultures. I still eat my crawfish, though. Even if I am from the North/Central part of the state.
I live in Louisiana and its so funny how you thought that plate of crawfish was big its small to me 😂 also I feel like people never get to see the work that goes into farming them so this is great!
Ps. My pet crawfish Curtis says hi!
The stories you tell, and the people you show... This is priceless
We've been thinking of moving to the South for a few months and your videos are definitely getting me excited about it! Looks like a lot of good food and good people!
Come on down South... y'all will love it. .❤ Though moving during the summer might be a bit hot! 🤣
Of all your videos I’ve seen, genuinely this might be the one I’m most jealous of. This is basically my dream day!
As a Louisianian I love how they like the food we have like crawfish
I just discovered your channel a few months ago and have binge watched from the beginning. I am so sad to be caught up! I love your adventures, the way you care for each other and your genuine love for people and learning. I guess I have to get used to waiting for new videos!!
Never knew "that's how they do it" so was very interesting...and the boat driver "if I were only younger" I'm 65, what a babe!!
"Junior" was definitely handsome ;-) Hey, maybe Sr. is single??? lolololol
Man yall should have came more into Louisiana! Like Acadiana area.. should had came to St.Martinville! My family owns Teche Valley Seafood in St.Martinville and have thousands of acres of crawfish ponds! 😁
Great video overall! I love seeing people not from Louisiana coming visit our state and enjoying the best food in the world!!!
Thanks for such a fascinating, informative and fun vlog! This was so enjoyable to watch and the friendliness of the people was heartwarming to observe. Wow, I am in such a better mood after watching this. 👍💯 I love these human interest stories and how you guys interact with new friends. Have a great week and weekend. 🤗❤🚐🙏🌎
Glad you enjoyed it as much as we did 🤗❤️
@@KaraandNate Thanks so much for your reply! This has made my week! With over 2 million subscribers I am so touched that you took the time to reply. Take care and stay awesome. 🤗❤
The quality of your videos is amazing!! Seriously it feels like watching a short film rather than a RUclips video. So easy to binge watch
I miss „We‘re Kara and Nate and for the past 4 years.... Now, covid has brought us back to the U.S, where we bought a converted sprinter van...“ ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Love from Louisiana!
wow so cool! i’m a local from welsh! wish i could have seen y’all! hope y’all enjoyed them! love y’all!💕
Casey's idea notebook is perfect
Mid week uploads? *Have we been blessed?!* 😍😍💓
100% agree with you :)
@@thebuddymoon are you two travel bloggers too?
In some parts of East Texas near Dallas, the ground water table is so high there actually are subterranean Crayfish under the soil. These Crayfish are smaller and come to the surface in a hole with a mound around it. I do not think these are the type people do eat though.
