- This is my track bike that I'm done with for now. I have my first track day April 11th and I can't wait to see if I addressed all the flaws I found when I rode the bike in the track last year
Nice bike dude. You have to mutch Money xD
Was the f3 motor swap just a direct bolt in I have an f2 and I'm thinking about doing the swap... any tips or advise would greatly be appreciated.. I'm not going to track the bike just want to give new life
I love the build. Nice budget platform built up without the motorwork, which i too don't really see as necessary. This is inspirational for me to finish up on my F2 build. You said that this was an F3 motor in an F2 frame. Which radiator are you using, F2 or F3? What about the Ram intake hoses? I'm assuming the speed pick up for the instrument panel just uses the sensor signal that comes off the f3 motor? You can also delete the side stand. you'd just have to re-wire the sidestand switch connector to trick the bike into thinking the sidestand is always up. I like the key delete. Overall nice build without breaking the bank.
The only thing that is f2 is the frame, everything else is f3. the ram air had to be modified to fit the f3 frame. The kick stand is now modified as you suggested and the heavy muffler was changed with a sato titanium gp muffler. Thanks for the love with the build.
I just looked at the video and noticed that I did not have the graves upper stay installed here yet and I also add another quick shifter to the bike, and chit the rear seat in half to reduce more weight
Yeah I been following that post cause huge fan of your mods. You got any write up for the Daytona steering damper that you have on your bike? Any why not use a gravity feed instead of the fuel pump since they are prone to failing?
+Muga_d_biker Thanks, glad you like the bike. If you go through the thread, I have the instructions for the Daytona damper somewhere in there.
Did you get another qs that works now without failing?
+Muga_d_biker I tried a MPS unit but the bike is not street legal so I've only been able to try it on a stand. First track day is next year... Take a look at rhea build www.fireblades.org/forums/honda-cbr-600/106972-forum-inspired-cbr-f3-project-25.html
Ok that's true. But the gave an old bike new life
Is your motor all stock with just the k&n filter and jet kit? Also how much hp are you getting?
the engine is stock, I just have the filter, race header, and jetted. it's an old bike, engine work is not something I'm interested in investing in at this stage of the build
no idea on HP, the bike out the box only made like 80HP, so over time I'm sure it lost a few ponies. With the work I did I would guess maybe 82-85. such minimal numbers are not worth the expense of a dyno to me.
Ok thanks a lot I'll comb through it and see. And like is an understatement.
what wind screen is that ?
Jeff Jenkins Some $15 eBay windscreen
Esta muy bien estéticamente.. se escucha ruido a cadena de distribución.. y esa tapa de alternador no es original
