Thanks, the new drivers for my Network Interface Card came with IPV6 enabled, I disabled that and that solved the file sharing issues.

Enable it back in the turn on or off windows features it’s called SMB 1.0

Good video..I have been trying to share a hard drive over my network in win 11 ....Some videos mention a local account being needed? I have 2 desktops- One is on ethernet- the other is on wifi- I made sure both are connected to wifi same network.. ....
Can't see the drives I am trying to share on the 2nd computer. I can see folders I did not share ( "users" so I know sharing can work. I have mapped network drives- turned on discovery etc....private networks.. something foolish is not right ... A mapped drive shows up on my 2nd computer but it doesn't have the files that are on my main drive.... I have tried everything 100 times Thanks if you had any tips

There is NO section called "Advance sharing Settings". I have been using Windows 11 for about 10 minutes now and been trying to customize it like I did in Window 10. Most stuff you could do in Window 10 is hidden or just not available in Window 11. I HATE IT!!!! I am not alone either. If I did not need it for work I would be on Linux.

Win 11 must have been their biggest mistake and I regret upgrading. I cant figure out how to turn on Network discovery, mine turns off immediate I put it on.

Didn't fix my issue. Can see, but can't access other PC from either machine. No Computer Browser Service on Windows 10 or 11
