once in a while, one comes across a how-to video that shows one exactly how to do a certain thing. this is one of those videos. good job, sir! 10 out of 10.
Absolutely!!
Every now then, it's so rare these days lol
100%
After reading multiple articles and spending a few hours this video showed me what I needed to do in a few minutes!
i know Im asking the wrong place but does any of you know of a method to log back into an Instagram account??
I was stupid forgot the password. I appreciate any help you can give me.
@@milesclark5273 you need an email or phone number linked to your account that you can use to recover your account, if not you're pretty much fucked
This is exactly what I wanted to do: connect a Win7 machine to a Win10 machine. Your instructions were clear and effective. Both machines are now communicating as desired. Thank you!
Two thumbs way up! This is exactly what I was looking for but couldn't find until now. Needed to transfer files from old laptop to my new one. One of the best step-by-step tutorials I have seen. You truly are the 'Windows 10 Guru'. Subscribed.
You are a very good teacher! Clear, comprehensive and concise. Very impressed how you made it look so easy. I appreciate you letting us know that if we got the password protect access checked we need to create the same user and PW on the guest PC. That solved my newbie issue. Thanks!
Thank you so much, I have been racking my brain on this for the past 48 hours, you successfully taught me what I needed to know in under 15 min where other articles failed miserably, thank you again!!!
I've been so frustrated with sharing! This video is great; really clear, good pace, easy to follow. It is way better than the websites that try explaining what to do. I have 2 Win10 machines so I just followed the first part of the video on each. This allowed me to map and then see each Documents folder from the other machine (first time this succeeded, thanks to the video). I did then have a problem (same as iVenom describes below) until I realised that one cannot share a virtual drive (I split C into C and use C for the OS and use E, which I names as "My Docs", for all my files) and then share E using the method you describe. AT this point, I got the same error that iVenom reports. I found that I had to change the name of my virtual E drive (to any other name, add a top level folder ONTO the virtual drive (E) that I named "My Docs" and then share it as the video describes. Everything worked perfectly, exactly as the video explains. So thanks Windows 10 guru, the video is excellent.
Just finished setting up my NAS Backup drive with the help of this tutorial. Easy and accurate instructions. Thanks a lot!
Great, straight forward process described clearly with super demonstration. I followed your video and set this up without issue. Thanks and well done.
I'm not only liking this video because it helped me with my problem but because you sir, have one fine ass voice.
like women like you that are free to say what they feel. Live on!
@@rdprdputube what? Chill
I agree except for the voice. I have to call his voice stressless and great for learning. I understand your point.
Perfect! Thank you for going slow enough so I could do this at the same time; and for getting me through it on both computers. Wasted my time on multiple other videos and Google online searches.
I wrestled with this thing for months. Then, I gave up. Then, the need came again. Then, I found this video. Big ups, man. Appreciate.
You have no idea how long I've been trying to do this for, and how frustrated I've been at failing to set this up. You explained this so well, the steps were easy to follow, and you even explained some of the settings that I didn't know. And not to be weird, but your voice through the process was actually very soothing. I ran into a snag but was able to fix it on my own and finally now have local file sharing set up between two of my PCs on my home network. Thank you so much!
thank you so much! this was extremely helpful and so easy to follow! I was able to connect my brand new built gaming PC to my old laptop so now I can get everything I have from that old laptop onto my new PC! awesome!
After years I finally got our computers networked. Excellent tutorial.
I second this :)
This is the holy grail of tutorial video's! Scrolled through the comment section first and found it to good to be true. Boy was I wrong. You sir are doing god's work. I never in a million years would have been able to figure this out by myself.
Excellent. Fixed my problem with one quick tutorial. This is something I haven't been able to wrap my head around for years.
Lost my network connection after doing a Microsoft update (8/3/2020), and just couldn't get it to work. This video worked for me, the other videos I watched didn't help me, nor could I understand what language they were trying to speak. This video is easy to understand and done at good pace; not too slow, not too fast.
Thank you this is what exactly Ive been looking for
Thanks! My husband was feeling pretty frustrated trying to network our computers. This was very helpful!
Excellent presentation. In less than 15 minutes, you clearly explained and demonstrated something that it took me days to try to figure out on my own a few months ago. Sorry I didn't find your video first.
Thank you for this tutorial. I love you didn't suggest random bloatware or one drive and went in depth step by step. I'm tired of misleading articles that always try to sell you a service or install bloatware.
Thank you for your detailed run through. It has saved me from a mental meltdown. I can now hare across all Pc's in my home. 👍
Thank you so much! I just spent 4 hours trying to find out how to do this. Finally found your video and was easy to follow and setup.
This helped me a lot, I've been searching two days for a way to find a reliable way to transfer data between my desktop PC and laptop and this video was exactly the solution that I needed. No third party software involved, that's the best part. Thanks!
Very complete end-to-end explanation - thanks!! This fixed all of my problems!!
I have been trying to get a homegroup network to work for YEARS like I used to be able to do 15 years ago and nothing has worked until now. Thank you so much for this video. EXTREMELY HELPFUL!!!
Great job! I have searched for a long time (months) to help me grab files from my pc to my laptop. You walked me thru it so well. I'm very thankful! God bless you.
Exactly what I was looking for. Very detailed and helpful
This video helped me impress my boss thank you!!!
This was clear, concise and to the point. Thank you so much for this video!!
Great video. I've had problems with this and you helped me fix them. Good slow pace and clear voice. Thanks for sharing your expertise.
Perfect presentation, pacing, clarity, and explanation. Thank you!
Thank you so much. concise, easy to follow. walked me through connecting the 3 studio pcs.
Best tutorial for file sharing Thanks
solved my problEM AFTER YEARS
Your flow of thoughts is really smooth. The explanation is crystal clear! Thanks a lot.
Quite specifically the instructions I was looking for.
Thank you for your assistance.
Man you got no idea how much it helped me. Thank you very much for this extremely detailed and slow paced and best explained video. Keep up the good work.
Among tens of videos I watched this is the only video that worked out! Thanks Guru!
Exactly what I was looking for! Thank you!
Thanks for this great video. Straggled a bit when connecting a fast PC to a slower PC (both Windows 10). Both PCs must be up, running and not sleeping to be able to link them.
If I didn't have this video every time I wanted to share a new folder, I'd never figure it out in a million years. So many clicks and sub-menus, and options on both ends. Thanks!
Thank you for this video. I tried all day to get my old laptop and new one to link up, and it was only because I watched your step by step video that I saw the one set of options that I missed.
Works, thanks. Had to map my network drive after I finished applying settings to both computers, but after that it worked.
Good job mate, well explained and easy to follow. I've watched quite a few other videos and couldn't get them to work but none of them mentioned about having both computers private. As soon as I changed my settings after watching your video all is good.
Far out Man. Finally I have a mapped folder on my two pc's. You are a STAR.
Thanks a ton, this made my work soo much easier. This was a very descriptive and well guided video.
Thank you so much! Worked great for me! Allows me to still work on my main PC while not having to stay in my basement all day hahaha
Thank you! I was stuck at some point but your video showed me the way!
Excellent presentation and far easier to follow than Microsoft notes . Great explanations as well.
Thanks for the video! I have 2 questions. \
Does the 2nd pc (in this case win7) save the shared files in its hard drive? (im guessing no but i want to be sure ) .
And also does the pc that originally shares the folder have to be switched on for the sharing to work?
thanks in advance!
Absolutely brilliant. That's just how all tutorials should be made. Thanks.
after messing with desktop and new laptop for days I almost gave up. then I found this video !!!! Thank you so much. I am now sharing between the two !!!
RebeccaCartagena .....what a liar you are!
Thank you so much for your clear, comprehensive instructions. It took me a while to find your RUclips video, but I am SO glad I did!
This video was very detailed and helped solve the problems. I encountered the issue after doing the Microsoft updates. Reset everything from the router to the computer. Changing the setting based on this video is what did the trick. Thank you
This works great. Once you have changed both to private and turned all sharing on, all you need for the shortterm is the directory it gives you ie //computer-name/ and you can just type that in if the following steps are confusing. I have now finally been able to get a game from my one Pc to the other!
Assuming it works....... a pretty much faultless presentation tutorial.
Just the right place. Clear, erudite. and thorough.
I it wks defo a subbing and another look at what can be learnt.
THANK YOU!!! Finally, an easy-to-follow instructional video on how to navigate someone else's idea of "logic"!
OMG! Days and days of following other people's instructions and nothing worked (connecting a Win 10 and Win 7 at home) and finally you had the answer. Thank you!!!
Thank you this was perfect as im moving my steam library to my plex sever
Amazingly clear and helpful. I had been struggling for ages to do this. Thanks a lot/
Thank you so much been trying to sort this out for a while as my previous link between my laptop and desktop disappeared after Windows10 update - your instructions were so easy to follow.
Windows 10 GURU you are a blessing in disguise... thank you!
It's incredible how easy this was after seeing this video. Thank you !
This tutorial is what Ive been looking for Im having dificulties to config network to pc's in my house.. this helped me thanks a lot.
Thank you so much. You are a real lifesaver. I was struggling a lot for the right setting to share my project folder in our company network and this video really helped me to understand what I was doing wrong. Thank you ✌
Your pace and voice are perfect! You saved me so much time. I wish I'd found your video before clicking on every radio button on my computers. Bless you!
Excellent! Exactly what I needed and so we'll done. Can't thank you enough! Liked and subbed
When I right-click on the "Documents" folder and goto "Give access to"
"Advanced settings", rather than "Specific people" appears
What am I doing wrong?
Best clear cut explanation on this complex subject on the internet.
You are an absolute Windows 10 Guru. This works perfectly. Thank you so much.
This was so easy to follow and got results fast. Thanks so much
Thank you so much. I was trying to connect two devices over our office network... one operating on Windows 11 and the other on Windows 10. Your instructions are so clear, I was able to troubleshoot the challenges of two VERY different operating systems and make it happen!
Brilliant! Just what I needed and so well explained. Thank you so much :-)
Thank you! It’s been years since I’ve done this and this worked flawlessly.
This is exactly what I needed to know. Thank you.
Hi great tutorial but I have one question, I followed your tute no probs and shared my downloads folder however even though I only shared this d/l folder it has granted access to all of the folders within the Users directory. How do I limit access it to my downloads folder only?
Excellent explanation, finally got it all to what is a very very useful thing that many average users really don't use or do not know how.
After struggling through other articles and a YT or 2, I found yours and couldn't have been happier. You did a great job of explaining what needed to be done.
One suggestion, raise your audio level. I struggled to hear you on this HP laptop with volume set to max on the PC and on the YT.
One question, what if you want to share more than the documents folder . . . pictures and downloads, for example?
Hey, thanks for the video.
Quick question :
If I have 3 computers connected to a mobile hotspot (limited data per day), and I've set up this network and I'm sharing large files (In GB) from main computer to others, will this use up a lot of my mobile internet data?
Does this work for programs installed on the C drive too? or how can you run a program installed in a computer over a network.
Finally found a video to connect computer that was clearly explained and thorough. Well done .Thank you.
Can i share files between Win7 and Linux on the same computer with Lan Share?
Thank you, you really did a great job by making this video... You saved my time.
"GIVE ACCESS TO..." This is the "Golden Ticket"! Thank you so much for this. It has taken me far too long on my day off, to find this. All I wanted to do, was to transfer files from one PC to another and now, I can! Hurrah!
PERFECT! Well explained and got me off dead center.
Excellent pedagogical approach, like we rarely find in RUclips how-to videos. Thank you.
Much thanks. No BS no beating around the bush he got right to the point. Great job dude
Excellent lesson, everything worked to the "Tee". Glad to see RUclips is placing ads on your vid! Good job. I subcribed as well.
Thank you very much, saved me a massive headache trying to figure this out on my own.
Can't thank-you enough!!! This video was exactly what I needed!!!
Hours, Weeks, Months of tribulation...then I found your video...THANK YOU! and again ...THANK YOU!
Thank you! Greatly appreciate the teaching
Thank you!!!!! ive been trying to get my gaming pc and editing pc to communicate so i can do thumbnails on my main pc and upload useing the editing rig without needing to use a flash drive or ssd, this was perfect! all the other attempted videos and guides were always always missing some sort of step to make it work, now it works! thank you!!!!
Thank you, this was a great help!
I have a question, i did setup my network and it worked, but now i wanna know if it's possible to do it using Hamachi, so I can share a folder and their files when connected to diferent networks
Wonderfully explained. I like that whether the internet network is working or wot, so long we are on the same network (WiFi), it works perfectly. No more unnecessary emails while in the same working enviroment. Great job sir.
Great Tutorial! Easy and helpful. Thank you.
This is a phenomenal instructional video. You explain things very well and are pleasant to listen to. This is a great methodical approach.
ditto exactly what i just said above
Excellent description and it worked great between Win7 and 10Pro.
