80s was my decade. Born in the 70s, 6 years old in January 1980, 16 in December 1989.

The list isn't necessarily US #1s. Shaddap Your Face was #1 in the UK, but peaked at #53 in the US. Words was #1 in UK, but only reached #62 in the US.

I love your honesty and really respect it. The 80's is my personal favorite era in music and films Madonna was fantastic in the 80's indeed. More than that, many awesome Madonna songs weren't even mentioned here (Material Girl, Open Your Heart, Holiday, Lucky Star, Live to Tell, Oh Father....). In the 90's she was even more risky as a musician. You could hear Jazz, New Jack Swing, R&B, Lounge, Trip Hop, House, Soul, Broadway score from her.

Anyone who didn't grow up in the 80s doesn't know what a great and happy time it was. How diverse the music was.

Whoever made this video forgot about Relax by Frankie Goes To Hollywood, it was by far the most international song of the 80s. You can check it yourself, it was top 10 in more than 50 countries.

I don't think it's US chart ... some of the "odd" ones that pop up out of nowhere are other country charts.
