Think the only maroon 5 album that had any decent songs was the debut, pretty much slipped since then. Santana is probably in my top ten favorite guitarists. Great band.

"Streets of Philadelphia" was a song written for the 1993 movie "Philadelphia". The sond and movie won many awards including best actor Oscar for Tom Hanks and best original song for Springsteen.
There's a lot of great songs that you should hear in that group. Eric Clapton Tears in Heaven was written about the loss of his young son. It's a very moving song.
Elton sang a revised version of Candle In The Wind at Princess Di's funeral . The original song was about Marilyn Monroe . Great reaction . Brings back memories of when MTV played music .
Ok, now I feel older than ever... I was in my 20s in the 90s. Born October of '70... I started college/university in September 1991. This list of videos is the sound track of my life age 17 (1990 was Senior year of high school) to my late 20s. Talk about memories flying through my mind as each video played. I can hear a song & be immediately transported to a specific time in my young life. Thanks for reacting this video, Beesleys!
1991 was the first year I bought an album, Michael Jackson's Dangerous. Then, in 1994, I bought my first single, Always by Bon Jovi which was featured in this video. Both were on cassette tape!

I think I can forgive y'all for not being aware of 1997's version of Candle in the Wind. Elton's original version was an 80s song dedicated to Marelyn Monroe, the 90s version was dedicated to Princess Di because she died around that time and it was sung at her funeral. Since y'all weren't born yet, it's fine. But yeah it was rare back then to see footage from another country (outside of the Olympics and huge world wide sporting events), but this was one of them and her funeral aired in the US too. 90s were my teen years and in fact I graduated HS in 2000. So yeah I knew all of these songs lol. Fun fact- when One Sweet Day first aired on the radio, I actually said, "Song of the Decade there" not known just how much on the nose I was because it would hold the #1 spot for 16 weeks for 23 years. Is anyone besides me sadden that it took until 99 to see Cher (if you saw the 80s video). Like she's one of those few artists to have #1 hits in multiple decades.
The beginning of Vanilla Ice's "Ice Ice Baby" should sound familiar. He "sampled" the beginning of Queen's "Under Pressure" that they and David Bowie sued for plagiarism. Along with some money The members of Queen and Bowie have co-writing credits on the song now
When I heard her say that she didn't know that Janet jackson was a singer as well. 🤯🤯 At one point Janet jackson was the biggest female artist off all time. The only reason she wasn't the biggest artist and not female artist because the biggest artist was her brother Michael. Lol! She even set one point made me money then him. She had a bigger record contract. To put in in a way you could understand... she was the beyonce of the 80's and 90's As a matter of fact, beyonce idolized Michael and Janet growing up. You should do more of these. And maybe even react to some of these songs/videos on your music channel. Janet, madonna and Mariah and Whitney were the women who rule that era
I didn’t realize the two of you were that much younger than me. I was 17 by the end of the 2000s and graduated high school two years later right before I turned 19.
You saying you didn't realize how old some of these songs were me: I am ancient at 42 years old You brought back some great memories for me! I even had cheerleading dances to some of these songs.
Mariah was my childhood from 95 until the mid 2000's I love her voice so much, she gave us so much good music❤. Lot of nostalgia listening to this, so many timeless songs and amazing artists. Now I want to go and listen to all my faves again lol Britney, the Fugees, Lauren Hill, TLC man great time for music.
Six songs I didn't recognize...mostly Boys II Men. This is when my daughter was growing up and she looooooved listening to the radio. I played professionally when younger and quit just before I got married in 85, so I wasn't so in tune with the music scene after that. I still prefer the 1960's and 1970's over the 80's, 90's, and 2000's.
Tears in Heaven by Eric Clapton is actually a pretty sad song dedicated to the memory of Eric's 4 years old son Conor, who tragically fell off the balcony of a 53-story apartment building in New York.
A guy I know once made a bet that he could sell out a concert playing the last song, “Smooth” by Santana and Rob Thomas 10 times in a row and he absolutely did it. It was the most unhinged concert I’ve ever been to. A couple years later they did it again but played it 20 times in a row instead. Even more unhinged. Lol
The Michael Jackson song "Heal the World", was from the Free Willy movie soundtrack not for the earthquake that happened in Haiti. The song your are thinking about Is a remake of the 1985 song "We are the World" co-written by MJ and Lionel Richie in the USA for Africa charity. The song was remade by Wyclef Jean (who is Haitian) for the earthquake in Haiti in 2010
Actually this was a song written in the late 60`s early 70's and was a top hit back then...it was written and performed by Dolly Pardon...and I will never watch the bodyguard because Whitney Houston told Dolly "you may have written it and got an award for it BUT I AM THE ONE THAT MADE IT FAMOUS, and anybody listening to it will hear me not you"
I'm always suprised how many Brits don't know Candle in the Wind. While Elton John didn't create it, he played it in tribute to Princess Dianna. I can't recall if it was at her remembernce on BBC or not. Thats where i remember it from. He was devasted by her death. As many of us were. I think I was a teen when she died. To be fair I also realize many Brits don't care much fo the royals anymore. I never really did myself. I only cared about Princess Diana because of her humanitarian work and big heart.
It’s so funny that you say these are so old! For me, this is like yesterday! A lot of these songs are remakes from prior decades. I do love that some of my artists are still in the lists. Especially ending with Santana from the 60s! please do the 60s and 70s especially but all of them when you can get around to it.

You guys need to listen to the full versions of these songs - way, way too many greats that you said you'd never heard...you won't regret it!
90’s rock. Fun fact, you can dance the macarena to the song Cotton Eye Joe.
When I heard her say that she didn't know that Janet jackson was a singer as well. 🤯🤯
At one point Janet jackson was the biggest female artist off all time.
I was 12 in 1990. Every song was a vivid memory attached.
I didn’t realize the two of you were that much younger than me. I was 17 by the end of the 2000s and graduated high school two years later right before I turned 19.
I cant believe yall didnt know the elton john one. He sang it at diana’s funeral!! (1997)
60's 70's and 80's are good too. The 60's one actually plays a bit more of each song, which is nice
Tears from heaven by Eric Clapton- you have to listen to the song, is about when his young son fell out an open window.
I was surprised at how many you did know.
I graduated in 90 and some of these I've never heard before.
You saying you didn't realize how old some of these songs were
me: I am ancient at 42 years old
You brought back some great memories for me!
90's is full of movie musics.
Lol
Fun fact Whitney Houstons I will always love you was a cover dolly Parton wrote it and sang it originally.
The song was remade by Wyclef Jean (who is Haitian) for the earthquake in Haiti in 2010
Britain apparently gets a lot of R&B exports lol. Makes sense with the history there.
Actually this was a song written in the late 60`s early 70's and was a top hit back then...it was written and performed by Dolly Pardon...and I will never watch the bodyguard because Whitney Houston told Dolly "you may have written it and got an award for it BUT I AM THE ONE THAT MADE IT FAMOUS, and anybody listening to it will hear me not you"
wow, what a trip down memory lane! thanks guys!!
Man these classic songs take me back
2:50 You may remember Whitney Houston's "I'm Your Baby Tonight" as the theme song to X-Men: The Animated Series
A bunch of these come from movie soundtracks. Kind of shows how big of a deal those used to be
Music can touch the soul.....thanks for the spark.
1999? I feel SO old!!! 😞 You may want to check out the 1990's Pentatonix mix - it's great.
Watching Janet Jackson: "I did now know she was a singer"
Me, at 36 years old: *internal screaming*
You guys need to check out the 70s and 80s. There used to even be a 60s one too. You'll be on the floor with how long some people have been around..
Millie you said I Will Always Love You is your song, have you seen the video of Dolly Parton singing on the Porter Wagoner show after she wrote it?
I doubt they've seen anything made before 1990 except a handful of movies.
It’s so funny that you say these are so old! For me, this is like yesterday! A lot of these songs are remakes from prior decades. I do love that some of my artists are still in the lists. Especially ending with Santana from the 60s! please do the 60s and 70s especially but all of them when you can get around to it.
They should react to a documentary about Woodstock!
I can remember a lot of these from when they were new! Yes, I'm that old! The mid to late 90's were about britpop for me! Great times, much missed!!
This was in my core music buying / concert going years. Yeah, know all these.
When you realize that the 80's and 90s were nothing but good music, movies, tv and an even better time to have lived.
3yrs in middle school grades 6-8 and 4 yrs in high shcool 9-12 and 2 years in Uni. wow that make feel old. Graduated Uni in 2002.
