I purchased a used P320 and experienced 17 light primer strikes out of 26 rounds of different manufacturer's ammo and different weights. I sent the firearm to Sig and they honored the warranty even though they didn't have to.. They replaced 3 components, and now it works like a charm. Good people there and an awesome gun.
We always hear people saying that the glock 19 is the perfect pistol. But then the same people saying it's the perfect pistol have to Dremel off the finger grooves, install a 3.5 lb trigger connector, Swap out the sights, install a extended slide stop and extended take down tabs, etc...That really isn't what perfect is to me
adam briar Well I have a a G19 and will not be turning my Gun into some kind of race gun or something. They only thing I bought for it is a TLR-4G for home defense purposes. That's it for me.
Reefer Nanoman plus the night sights help you track the sights even with the light although you can see a silhouette of the sights using the light I prefer the truglo TFX PRO their awesome in day/dusk and night makes it so much easier to pick the sights no matter the condition
I took a 16 hour Tactical + CCW class in AZ and used the Range's Sig P320 to train with. I Seriously Fell in Love with this Gun... I will be buying This Gun.
I live in the land of the 10-round-magazine... so I bought a P320C in .45 ACP two days ago. This is my first Sig pistol and I'm looking forward to carrying it after I get acquainted with it at the range.
Just purchased this firearm today I am a first time gun owner I have read and viewed MANY reviews on this firearm along with many others. Thank you for this well informed review on my new gun VERY much appreciated
The P320 Compact has quickly become my favorite gun! I carry mine every day without fail. The only complaint I have is the finish on the mag release. It wears very quickly when carrying daily, and then, once it's worn, it starts to rust. During the hot days of summer, no matter how much I lubed it, it would still develop rust. It got to the point where I was disassembling, cleaning, and lubing the mag release at the end of each day. I'm taking it to a local shop for Cerakote soon, so hopefully that will be the end of it. Other than that stupid mag release finish issue, it has been ridiculously accurate, reliable, a blast to shoot, and comfortable to carry. Like I said, it has quickly become my favorite gun.
The mag release looks the same as the takedown lever on mine. Mine was made in the factory in March 2023. I just got my P320 like 4 days ago. I like it so far. I felt like the slide finish looked cheap. It don't look on the level of Glock or even my Taurus G2C to be honest. This looks kinda like Ruger Security 9 slide finish which was real bad. That thing was a rust bucket on the slide.
Oh and I love the sights on the P320. Excellent quality and mine were perfect. I ordered some Sig X-Ray sights I think they're called. I'm scared to get them put on because the factory sights are so good.
Bought this gun on Saturday. Put 200 rounds through it flawlessly! Love this pistol. I tried most of the comparable guns in this category S&W, Glock, Springfield etc this gun just fits your hand perfectly and a buttery smooth trigger and pretty decent sites. Absolutely no complaints. I recommend everyone that is considering a compact carry pistol to go and try this gun on a range... at least pick it up and hold it you Will Not be disappointed!
This is my favorite pistol, I've been carrying one for over 2 years, I have well over 2500 rounds through it and it's ran like a top, I've noticed that periodically with cheaper ammo that I've gotten maybe 6 lite primer strikes out of 2500. I would say that's a pretty good ratio.
@mrchuck3338 if you train it doesn't take seconds to rack a pistol, literally saw a comparison chamered vs unchambered , only a .15 to .20 sec difference (1.06sec vs 1.20 sec) Again, if you train regularly which everyone should it's nothing but it's up to each owner.
I bought one of these in FDE w/siglites for about $550. Love every bit of it so far, plus it comes with hard case, holster, 2 mags, and oil. For the price these are going for at the actual gun counter they are very hard to beat.
After watching your video I am under the impression that the P320 is the best hand gun in the world, correct me if I am wrong. Thanks for the great video I watch all your videos, you are one of the best gun experts on you tube if not the best.
I have the subcompact version with medium grip. It also has a rail system so I can mount a light if I want to. I love this pistol and carry it every day.
I work for sig so im Glad you like the 320c there made by the hundreds pretty much everyday now and i do love the options you have for changing it around to a full size slide on a compact frame and from 9mm to 40 sw and 357 sig, to doing two tone colors.
After viewing Sootch's review on the Sig P320, I did further research and purchased this bad boy in .357 full size.I am truly happy with this gun, and man does it have an appetite for ammo. Running Underwood ammo it has the same ftlbs as a .357 magnum and the same as 10mm. This is my everyday carry and I love this gun. Thanks Sootch and keep up the good work.
Just bought one today and put 200 rounds through it within 5 min of purchase. Going back tomorrow to have a little more fun. my dad had gotten one a year ago and I fell in love with it as soon as I put it in my hands. I LOVE THIS GUN
Everyone I've ever known who has tried the P320 their very first comment has been without fail is how good the grip feels. With that said Yes the grip is so comfortable but also with all of the pistols I've shot over my many years is the grouping. The grouping on this gun is insane tight. I'm super impressed with the P320c.
Really enjoy your reviews and reminds me of how much fun shooting pistols was here in England. A real shame we can no longer purchase these products. Thanks for sharing.
Got this less than 1 month ago. Have shot over 1200 rounds through it. All different ammuniton brands and even mix matching... Let me tell ya. This gun is running strong and no issues at all. Amazing little peice.
Great review. I recently bought the Sig P320 (Comp.) a few weeks ago. I had looked for a while at the Glock 19 and this Sig. The deciding factors were grip fit and the nice trigger. After shooting it for a bit and manipulating it, I’m very satisfied with my Sig P320 Compact. I am still considering getting the Glock 19 Generation 5 with its updates and new barrel. Just for me personally, the Sig P320 fits my hand like a glove. I am looking forward to more time at the range with my Sig. Later, maybe the Glock 19 or Glock 25 for carry as my next buy. “Long live the Republic”
One of the best guns I have ever owned. I have one in .45 and 9mm. I have never been a Glock fan but had to carry one while I was in law enforcement. I wish the 320 would have been around when I was in law enforcement.
I don't understand why the "carry" model has a full length grip and a short barrel. The grip is what prints. The "carry" model IMO should have a short grip and a full length barrel if anything.
LE request is my understanding. Something shorter, but still a full count mag. It really shines for suppressed use, where you may want a high round count (IE TacOps with 4 21 round mags) but a little shorter slide to keep it from being absolutely crazy with a can on it.
Hmm... I don't carry mine iwb. Iwb is a g26, then outside is the P320. In general I've been extremely happy with Bravo Concealment and they can mold just about anything
The P320 has been a favorite of mine for years. Except for the frustratingly difficult task of getting the takedown lever to actually move, it is a great pistol. I always like the ergonomics of the gun, nearly as much as I do my favorite, the Walther PPQ, but I just switched to a Wilson Combat grip frame, and now I like it even more; I won't be going back to the original, it's that good. Also did the same for my P365.
For those thinking of getting this I would recommend getting the Carry model. You get a full size magazine with a compact slide. This give you the option of buying a subcompact grip frame and having a ccw.
I'm only about half an hour from Exeter, which is the Sig Academy and the pro shop, the actually factory is in Portsmouth NH Plus I just bought a P320, so happy that I helped pay an NH worker.
@@trevorwhaley3780 I hear you, besides variety in all of my guns I also love the Sisters, Asian Women, and Hispanic Women. I apologize if I left anyone out.
I went and checked one out up recently at my local gun store, it looked beefy before I actually saw it in real life and it's literally the perfect size for a carry gun. 15+1, the one I was looking comes with a threaded barrel. Did you ever end up getting it?
I've been debating this against the glock 19 for my first striker fired pistol. What gave this the edge in my mind is the modularity, the feel shooting it, and the fact that every time I shoot a glock 19, it ejects casings just right that it bounces off the side wall of the lane and I get hot brass in my face. I'm yet to face that with the 320. Both are fantastic firearms, but just for what I like in a gun, I decided on the 320 compact
A person could buy the 9mm compact and purchase a .357 SIG exchange unit for 14 rounds of .357 SIG. Than purchase just the .40 S&W barrel and use the same magazines as the 14 round .357 SIG/.40. Now you have three calibers in a great pistol with the same trigger, and that advantage being it will be the same trigger in all three configurations. SIG really has a winner here.
Bought this handgun yesterday thanks to this video, I was having a hard time finding a good edc for my first concealed carry, was happy to find one in .45
Fantastic gun!! Great ergonomics, great trigger, shoots well, priced in line with everything else, super easy to clean, unrivaled flexibility with the ability to change the the frames, slides, etc, and Sig is innovating with the modularity of this thing. Huge, huge fan. I'll be buying one. Guess I'm a Sig fanboy now. Oops!
DANGIT Sigs are SUCH GOOD LOOKING GUNS!!! Good review Sootch! Love reviews of modern firearms and gear with a sprinkling of classic firearms. Keep up the good work brother.
i picked mine up yesyerday im thrilled to death with it one of the things i really like about it is the the trigger gaurd is larger than most and that i can wear a thicker glove being from a cold climate
+Charles, OMG! I thought I was the only one who cringed. I love his channel, but I something about that slow mo scene with him and the mask drives me crazy. No offense. Again, I love your channel MrGunsandgear!
Great review, I have the P250 when they first came out and I am more than happy with it. Of course the p320 with single action capability is a great choice as well. For self defense P250 has been my buddy. Oh and my only polymer fire arm, been the only one I felt comfortable with my life with. Keep up the good work.
getting my P320c & SC x-change kit back from Sig tomorrow after upgrade work. Can't wait to see how the trigger feels now and get back to shooting this amazing weapon.
I carry this gun everyday and I love it. I haven't had any problems with it at all and because I could buy a new frame with no problems. I didn't hesitate to stipple the frame or duracoat it
I took my 320 Carry to a class a while back--- ran a box through it before the class to make sure it worked... then did nothing. Ran through a case by early afternoon, not a single malfunction. So I bought a 320 carry tacops as well. I used to carry a 226, and moved to the 320 for a more reliable trigger pull. During training with the 226, I was moving, drew, and pressed out in a rush. Got on target and bang, then before I meant to I put a second round on target. The DA to SA pull caught me by surprise. It looked like an amazing double tap, but it wasn't fully intentional. I was trying to stage the trigger, not touch it off. While I've run thousands of rounds through my 226 and love it, that concerned me enough to carry a more consistent gun--- the 320 did it for me.
Thanks sootch00, I just picked one up very lightly used for $370. First thing after I got it home was a cleaning and everything was very tight and gave resistance like a new firearm.
Praise worthy, for $70!The only issue was the round gasket ring seal between the CO2 and needle ruclips.net/user/postUgkxnX9wE_Q8zvF75Y5iWzTU3Q4FlrtyGApQ . Withered away, and I'm having a tough time finding a replacement.Gun still works perfectly, but needs a new gasket. Can someone please say where to find the gasket replacement?
Went to the range last week with a friend who owns a p320c. It was back from the sig shop for the recall. Don’t believe anything you heard about from you tube trashing this firearm! I picked it up first time and it shoots accurately and so smooth a told my friend it was missing the recoil!? Yeah! This is one hell of a gun! It just rocks! And yes I’ve shot hk’s and glocks all the way back since 92. For 600$ I wouldn’t change nothing on this gun. It’s damn good out of the box. Just my 2cents, happy shootin folks, long live the 2A!
hey sootch, I've been watching alot of your videos and a couple thoughts I had on this pistol is maybe adding the x-change kit to a go bag or for extended survival situations where you may need to convert to a .45 or another caliber due to a shortage of your primary ammunition. this along with a universal cleaning kit to survival packs in case of extended events I think would be perfect as you may have to utilize your firearms and keeping them clean over extended periods will ensure reliability.
I'm mostly an H&K guy, but I do love my Sigs. I own a 320 in 45 in both full size and compact, a compact in 40 S&W and next week plan to buy a compact 320 in 9mm. The compact is really easy to carry all day covered up. I carry mine in an R&R Holster I got from Amazon and it's no trouble wearing it all day. I hear all the crying Glock owners bashing it and they need to just get over it. There is NOTHING wrong with the 320 and shooting it just makes you want to shoot it more. Good video as always, dude.
Scotch I just bought a two tone black fde today at local gun show and the trigger is much thinner and the trigger action itself is amazing I swear it has no take up or mushy feel to it at all hit 8” plate 95% of time at 15-19 yards amazing I can’t miss much different then the one in this video
I have lots of Sig Sauers from p238's to 227, 1911s and lots in-between. Of all of my Sig Sauers my P320 is my favorite, feels very good in the hand, shoots great. i have 4 Glocks an this Sig is by far the best. I changed the sights out to TruGlo TFX and the sight picture now is so much better, day or night...
+Sootch00 love the p320! Save yourself some money over another x-change kit and buy a subcompact frame ($46) and subcompact mags ($36). Put the compact slide on the subcompact frame. Works great! Length of the barrel/slide is less than 1/2 an inch difference. Concealability is essentially the same. Google 'p320 compact slide on subcompact frame' for an idea of what it would look like.
I did the same thing. Bought a Carry, got a Subcompact grip module for $40 shipped (found a good sale a couple months ago). Hell of a lot cheaper than buying two guns. Finding a decent holster is the only issue. Anybody have some recommendations for a holster that will work with a Compact/Carry slide and Subcompact railed grip module? Also, my Streamlight TLR-1 won't fit on the subcompact (rail is too short) so anybody have weapon light recommendations?
Hey Sootch00 Yours is the smoothest Take Down Lever removal to date. When I take down my full P 320. After removing the TDL. To remove the, Fire Control Group. I grip it like I'm gonna shoot it. Place my trigger finger behind the trigger and push forward. Pops the front of the FCG up take your thumb push forward slightly on the FCG comes right out. Just reverse it to install. Place the trigger through the trigger slot. use thumb to guide rear into position. then use trigger finger to seat the trigger group into final position and install the TDL. then finish the assembly .smooth as butter. I like the Hollywood Ninja look.
Thanks for the great review. I am usually not a big fan of striker fired pistols but I think the modular design is unique enough I may have to add one to the collection.
Just FYI, the Subcompact model does have the accessory rail, it's the small size frame modular that doe not have the rail. But this hand gun is phenomenal. I just picked up mine 3 days ago.
i became an armed citizen last week. i've been in love with Sigs for well over a year now, and i bought this very pistol (partially) based on your review. i'm looking forward to learning more from you. thank you for your content and expertise.
@@coffeepot3123 I've read some of it (that's on the to-do list for tonight actually, as i want to learn how to clean/lubricate it). i have some fantastic mentors as well. thank you so much for taking the time to respond ... i'm literally learning from everyone right now!
I own Glock, Beretta and Ruger handguns. I just bought the Sig 320 comp. This gun feels so nice in your hand and the trigger will have you giving your Glock 19 the stink eye.
The ability to change the trigger is huge for me. I might get the 320 compact for carry use then buy a full size 40 frame to use for HD. It's really just a nice option to have and very unique.
The Pistol that changed the Game!! I said it from the jump! Modular pistol, no need to buy another pistol if you damage the frame simply buy another!! Funny part people knocked the P250 which is basically the same gun but it got slept on... crazy
I carry a p320c with tlr-1hl everyday... I run it in a chopped up compact frame cut down to a sun compact magazine size. I love it. I'm also running an apex trigger with trijicon HD night sights. I like how fast the grips swap out... I go in work with the sun compact size frame... Walk out of work and in 1 minute I can have it swapped to my fde compact size...
Hello, Your video was in my feed, and as of a couple weeks ago, I purchased my first weapon in almost 15 years. My first was a Ruger P95, and I had a mis-fire, Non the less I never shot that firearm again. However, now I am ready to invest in proper training. Not to be winded, I just wish to say thank you for your tutorial on this weapon. I have the FDE compact model; as well as pursuing my CHL too. To be honest, You remind me of my military weapons training course. "USAF Veteran". Great Job and Patience explaining to the novice / beginner community.
Scootch, I’m not sure if you still read the comments on this video, but I sincerely wanted to thank you for making this. I just bought the gun today and couldn’t figure out for the life of me why the slide wouldn’t anchor itself back on, it took me 3 hours to figure out that I needed to lock the slide open and then rotate the takedown lever. 😂😂😂 Thanks again for this video, you saved me a lot of headache.
I got mine yesterday. I already had the full size version with the Romeo1 and love it. I wanted a gun for concealed carry and debated on the 43x because that’s what my girlfriend has. But the Sig grips just feel way better in my hand than glock, I even held the g19 and it just doesn’t feel right in my hand. I’m gonna try and out a ton of rounds through it this weekend and start the break in process
Re: Recoil spring assembly. Round wire, when compressed, tends to want to jump one coil over the next coil wind. (try balancing a round ball on top of another round ball) The end of the spring gets displaced and jumps the flange which can cause the pistol to lock up. Not a good situation when your life depends on the next shot. Always buy semi auto pistols that use flat wire recoil springs.
Great video. Ty. I love my 320 Compact. Can't say enough good things about it. It has replaced my G19 and XD sub-c. In case people didn't know it does come with a holster and the other usual goodies. Thank you guys! Keep it up!
Sootch-Always appreciate your informed reviews and appreciate your honesty; ie., comments regarding light primer strikes from some subscribers! I wish Sig well, but I opted for a shield vs a 938 due to uncorrected problems with the recoil assembly. I reviewed your video to stay up to date, but I am an admitted fan of hammer fired, metal, cz75's and it's clones or upgrades-lol. I don't do well with leg is!!

Hmm... I don't carry mine iwb. Iwb is a g26, then outside is the P320. In general I've been extremely happy with Bravo Concealment and they can mold just about anything
mannys9130 , I know in my case the longer slide tends to pinch my ass while driving. Otherwise it's a non issue.
This looks like a big winner for Sig - big competition for the Glock. Technology sure is moving along super-fast. Thanks Sootch.
Great. Now I have to buy another gun. 😎
RockIslandguy its been a year did u buy it? I just recently got mine, and i fucking love it, screw glocks
Murloc I just got mine in complete Flat Dark Earth the other day ! Will be in the range tomorrow !
Tell me about it.
Murloc no but I did get the m17. Glock is still better, but not by much.
I like the P320 a hell of a lot better than any Glock I've ever shot.
HERESY!!! I'm jk, I love SIG as well
I love glocks, love sigs love s&w m&p. I shoot the crap out of them all. Gotta have verity, just like women.
@@trevorwhaley3780 I hear you, besides variety in all of my guns I also love the Sisters, Asian Women, and Hispanic Women. I apologize if I left anyone out.
Yeah I’m late here but no mine craft for me. Should I get sig or HK?
@@Politicallyhomeless957 what size are you looking for and what will be your primary purpose for it? Hammer or striker fired?
That is a good looking pistol. I been looking for a new carry gun. Its a winner.
adaboy4z fantastic
I went and checked one out up recently at my local gun store, it looked beefy before I actually saw it in real life and it's literally the perfect size for a carry gun. 15+1, the one I was looking comes with a threaded barrel. Did you ever end up getting it?
adaboy4z get the Rx with the red dot! I carry this now instead of my 1911, I love it
adaboy4z don’t drop it.
365XL is better
I've been a glock guy but here lately I've became fond of the way this pistol looks and its modularity
i picked mine up yesyerday im thrilled to death with it one of the things i really like about it is the the trigger gaurd is larger than most and that i can wear a thicker glove being from a cold climate
You have to nod your head in slo - mo when wearing the mask :D
Haha!
lol I though you snuck in the video
Whatever Debbie Downer. lol
^ He's right, you know.
+Charles, OMG! I thought I was the only one who cringed. I love his channel, but I something about that slow mo scene with him and the mask drives me crazy. No offense. Again, I love your channel MrGunsandgear!
Just bought this pistol yesterday! And I love it! Great pistol, and that's coming from a 1911 lover.
I didn't hesitate to stipple the frame or duracoat it
I live 10 minutes away from sig, it def comes in handy when I have issues with any of my sig pistols, their customer service is top notch.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR PROFESSIONALISM. Most knowledgeable and thorough.
Just bought a P320 this morning. Incredible weapon. But then again, it's a Sig.
Just bought this gun yesterday. I cannot wait till to go the range on Saturday.
Fantastic pistol!
hey sootch, I've been watching alot of your videos and a couple thoughts I had on this pistol is maybe adding the x-change kit to a go bag or for extended survival situations where you may need to convert to a .45 or another caliber due to a shortage of your primary ammunition. this along with a universal cleaning kit to survival packs in case of extended events I think would be perfect as you may have to utilize your firearms and keeping them clean over extended periods will ensure reliability.
Excellent video! To the point and well explained. P320 is an amazing self-defense firearm and modular system. Safe and reliable.
Sootch, i just realized that you sound like Capt. Dale Dye....thanks for posting this video
I got one very cool nice pistol at first I didn't like it but now I love it
Scotch I just bought a two tone black fde today at local gun show and the trigger is much thinner and the trigger action itself is amazing I swear it has no take up or mushy feel to it at all hit 8” plate 95% of time at 15-19 yards amazing I can’t miss much different then the one in this video
USClight that's exactly what I did and works great
USClight I did this also! I saved hundreds of dollars and it works perfectly!
Exactly what I did. Best of both worlds!
Just an FYI, you should read up on the info provided from the manufacturer, never rely on videos alone.
Not saying you do this, but i wanted to share.
@@coffeepot3123 I've read some of it (that's on the to-do list for tonight actually, as i want to learn how to clean/lubricate it). i have some fantastic mentors as well. thank you so much for taking the time to respond ... i'm literally learning from everyone right now!
Just bought one today and my first gun ever
I am definitely leaning toward this beauty for my next pistol..Great and helpful review. Thanks
The opening of this video is great.
I don’t care for the aesthetics of the gun but it is an excellent shooter, I had a great experience with you at the range.
Great...now Im debating between the glock 19 and the P320. I do like the fact that the P320 can interchange with different calibers.
Just put 500 rounds thru my P320 and its performed flawlessly ..
I own Glock, Beretta and Ruger handguns. I just bought the Sig 320 comp. This gun feels so nice in your hand and the trigger will have you giving your Glock 19 the stink eye.
Double feed? lock slide to the rear so the mag drops freely, rack 3 times, load up mag, rack and bang!
Hey Sootch I've watching your video's for a couple years now, good stuff keep up the good work Brother.
This is officially going to be my first hand gun and now i cant wait to get my hands own now
Blake Vogl just bought one 3 hrs ago. haven't shot it yet but im liking it!
Sootch man my mail lady has a compact in 357 sig , she carry it on her route , she is a great person ,, I'm sure everyone tips her at the holidays
The ability to change the trigger is huge for me. I might get the 320 compact for carry use then buy a full size 40 frame to use for HD. It's really just a nice option to have and very unique.
Good point about the double feed. I've it happen 3-4 times and it takes longer to free up. Good plus for this handgun.
The Pistol that changed the Game!! I said it from the jump! Modular pistol, no need to buy another pistol if you damage the frame simply buy another!! Funny part people knocked the P250 which is basically the same gun but it got slept on... crazy
I have this gun. Runs flawless . One of my carry guns. Like it very much.
Scootch,
I’m not sure if you still read the comments on this video, but I sincerely wanted to thank you for making this.
Aside from the barrel, the .40 cal uses the same slide, spring and clips as the .357 sig ..... awesome gun.
I had occasion recently to shoot this model in 9. Sig has definitely raised the bar!
the modular system is quite amazing and practical..
