I'm sorry, are you German by chance? Maybe you can help me, because I recognise this melody very strongly, but I listened to the recording by Gary Moore and it doesn't sound familiar at all. Do you know of a piece (of German pop culture) where this melody might have been featured, where I would have heard this. It strongly evokes emotions about my childhood, so early 2000s, but I cannot place it all.

gonna learn this to play a solo for a festival , im scared 😭 update; today is Mar 1 and im struggling so much. The solo is in 2 months. 2nd update; today is Apr 18, im doing pretty good just working on 2 specifc parts that are a little rough but other than that im doing good. However, im going to play my solo twice. first in 2 weeks and second 2 days after. the first one im not scared abt bc there wont be a judge or anything so its mostly for me to get used to playing infront of people again lol. but in the second one there will be a judge. i guess i forgot to update again.. i did the solo! was fun, got rated an excellent which is like 3rd place(kind of second- dont know how to explain) for my first judged solo, id say i did good!
