Here's Yenne Lee with her arrangement of the Joseph Kosma standard Autumn Leaves. She's playing a great 2004 Pepe Romero Jr. classical guitar in cedar and maple. Recorded at the Guitar Salon International showroom in Santa Monica, CA.

I think that is the most beautiful version of this song I have ever heard. My wife and I are separating and hearing this eloquent yet achingly emotionally raw rendition makes me want to cheer and sob at the same time. She took a standard that I usually think of as cute and fun and made it into something that moves me like a shakespearean tragedy. Forgive my ramblings, this woman is a sublime artist.
She is really feeling the music and is playing with a lot of heart. Also she is not overplaying, but is nailing all of the themes and key melodies. Just beautiful, what a player.

“Autumn Leaves" is a popular song and jazz standard composed by Joseph Kosma in 1945 with original lyrics by Jacques Prévert in French (original French title: "Les Feuilles mortes"), and later by Johnny Mercer in English. An instrumental version by pianist Roger Williams was a number one best-seller in the US Billboard charts of 1955.

When I first see this video, I thought to myself that I will never be able to play it. But here I am, almost finishing learning it. Don't give up, guys!
How did you go about learning it?
@@thebeatman3289 Well, it's simple. I divided it into 4 part (each part has an "ending" sound to it) and practice it gradually, play it over and over again until I get the hang of the finger position then listen to this for more reference. It's 100% not very effective but it works for me.
I already finished to learn it and I already had concert with it. This video motivated me.

Every time this comes up on my feed I listen to it on repeat for an hour.
My wife is a really incredible guitarist and can memorize pieces on the
instrument very quickly... So once, when we were teens, I had had a
particularly bad day and couldn't sleep that night. So, knowing how much
I love classical music, she learned this piece and sat next to my bed
playing it all night until I fell asleep. I can't listen to it without
getting a little teary-eyed now.
