- With the MINI now getting work done to it, its time to put a bit of work into the Z. I picked up a new axle back on my local classifieds for a bit over $300, and had some vinyl wrap laying around. When I purchased my Z, I realized that its all one colour, ALL GREY!! That’s gotta change, which is why I got window tint, black wheels, and MORE BLACK!!!
The cat-back that I purchased is a Top-Speed Resonated axle back, and it sounds very nice in person. The sound you are hearing is the sound of resonated test pipes, with the stock cat-back, now with a Top-Speed Resonated axle-back.
The vinyl wrap is a 3M 1080 series gloss black which I found to give a much nicer look than the Avery wrap I’ve usually used. It is a bit less forgiving, however once it is applied, looks incredible!!! If you have a 370Z, you’re going to need a 5’x4’ sheet to vinyl wrap the roof, and if you plan on doing the diffuser like I did, just get a 5’x5’ sheet and use 5’x1’ for the diffuser.

I have to agree. If they did slightly then it would be fine.

Woow, great job mate! I’m going to be doing this on my 2010 370z convertible but in carbon fibre black. I’ll do the number plate recess, tail light tint and bottom light tint as well. Cheers for “paving the way”!

Everyone complaining about this setup. It looks fine to me and serves multiple purposes. For one the tips stick out a little extra as to not cook the bumper if the car spits flames out the tailpipes. It doesnt look that bad. Great work Milan.

It looks and sounds very good. You have a very good aesthetic sense when it comes to what looks good on the car. I have an all black 2019 370Z sport coupe and am planning on some future mods. I've already installed Hotchkiss swaybars front and back and like the result.
Z looks great! Love that closs black rear diffuser. And it sounds so nice! You have to tint those taillights and brake light ;) Door handels would be nice if you wrapped them also gloss black :)

Good Choice on the exhaust I had a top speed on my 240sx when they used to sell just mufflers and it had a real deep quality sound. Too bad they dont sell mufflers only anymore

Hi Milan, I think it would look great if you could completely dechrome it. The door handles, all emblems... It would also look dope and be a fun DIY video about tinting the taillights a little bit. Would make it look alot more stealth and agressive. And I also think the exhaust tips stick out a little bit too much right now.

The z is lookin good dude and that exhaust sounds sweet where ya get it? Gloss black roof will be sweet and smoke all the tails but leave the reverse lights and crack open the headlights and black/color match them and she would be on point lol

Do you have a lot of drone inside cabin, I insulate my trunk before installing a magnaflow catback but it's too quiet, should I try the axle back. Awesome job on your Z, don't over do it.
With this setup, it isn't too bad. With my Greddy exhaust system, it is way worse.
Looking good! I think a color like Nardogrey would really make the Z pop. Maybe Plastidipping this thing with your gun and the new performance series? Which apparently seems to be quite good.

About the f1 taillight..right now its fine...but it would be cool if you change all the taillights to white or black. Keep the good work bro
Besides the roof I would wrap the spoiler and mirrors. I think it would make it look even greater than it is right now (and it looks great as it is right now). Cheers ;)
I know I'm going to wrap the roof Krzysztof, and I'll see how that looks before I wrap the mirrors and spoiler :)
Right off the bat you need to hook up your under-bumper light, add a carbon fiber diffuser to the rear and change out the rear spoiler to something more aggressive (possibly in carbon fiber). It's looking a bit too stock right now. And the carbon fiber accents will make those new wheels POP even more. Oh, and you need to add carbon fiber door handles and outside mirror covers.
I would vinyl wrap the bottom segment of the front bumper too, the part under the grille. So it would look a bit like the Nismo bumper.
Those tips are sticking out WAY too much for my taste other than that your z is looking nice

Black out everything. Trim, emblems, exhaust tips, ect. With those and the roof blacked out that thing will look sick! Now get back on that Mini!!!!! LOL

Keep the Z looking just like it is (it's gorgeous!) and just upgrade the performance. That way it's kind of a sleeper. Not many will expect a 480hp Z, but you can make it happen!

It's a personal preferrence, but i would basically get rid of 3rd color... so you'd only end up with gray and black ( which means, blackening out tail light, 3rd and 4th brake light ) + tint the front headlights, in my opinion car is going to look million times better and classier that way, i did that to my clk 320 years ago and still loving it ( plastidipped front grill, windows were already tinted, tinted the side blinkers that's located on outside part of the mirror "shell" and tinted tail lights ). Oh and yea... i just saw someone saying it in comments so i'm gonna add it here, the door handles man... they just scream, plastidip or tint those too

I use dish soap or vegetable oil on the rubber hangers because personally I feel like this is safer than the chemicals in wd40. And the axleback will sound better in a few weeks when it's really broken in lol

You should wrap the little spoiler black too
Tint the tail lights and the center light. It will flow much better with your grey paint. Your exhaust sounds wicked

What about the heat from the exhaust. Won’t that affect the vinyl adhesion?

I think you should smoke the 4th break light. It'll look more stealthy. Also no one notice the break light until you actually break.

Well it will do the same thing with the stock exhaust. From what I've seen, it should be okay, but I will keep you guys updated should something happen 👍

The original muffler/back box was part of the aero. Should have just cut it open for sound, now the rear bumper is going to be parachuting...
