- Vinyl wrapping vehicles’ roofs has been the most popular thing to wrap since vinyl was created. Personally, I LOVE the look of it when the A and C pillars flow into each other, and that is done when the roof and the side windows have the same shade (black).
Getting this job done at home, will cost you less than half of what it will cost to get it done at a shop, AND you’ll have all of the tools afterwards to do this again to your next car.

Hey my Z friend. Great video. You are a great speaker and you are very clear and concise. In my opinion , there is one major part of this otherwise perfect video that prevents you for getting an A+. The major thing that has prevented me to wrap the roof of my Z, is how to work around the antenna. And you fast forwarded through cutting and squeegeeing around the antenna. I’ve watched it numerous times, and I’m pretty confident that I can do it, but I would love to see it in real time. However, your video prevented me from making a couple large mistakes, which would have been removing the headliner to remove the antenna before wrapping, the second great help is
Not wetting the roof prior to laying the wrap down. when using perforated quality wrap. Oh and the “quadrant “ system. The most time saving 16:10 minutes I’ve spent. So glad that I watched this before tackling this project myself. I’ll send you before and after pictures if you like. Rock on. GOD loves you
Just a tip for future reference and something you should live been when wrapping, always start with the hardest part. You should have created a template around the antenna using masking tape and used it to cut a perfectly shaped hole out the vinyl. Lay the vinyl down around the antenna first, then work your way out like you've explained at the beginning of the video.

Hey Milan quick question. I’m about to wrap my roof gloss black I have the vinyl just gotta get to it. How do you maintain your vinyl anything special instructions for washing and keeping it lasting longer
I will probably ceramic coat it just like how I protect my paint. Weekly washes will help, but above all else, proper washing techniques are a must, especially when working with dark colours like black

I love how easy Avery is to work with but their gloss black seems to have a brown finish I have Avery on my roof and hood on a silver car but I had a black (jet black) car and I wrapped an unpainted bumper with an amazon vivid wrap and the color matching was perfect

Pop those headlights open and paint the inside black, will look pretty epic and will enhance the tint if you decide to tint them later.

This may sound stupid but do you wash your microfiber towels or do you use new ones each time?
I wash them, but when they begin to show age, I will throw them out as they become no better than a terry cloth

Is 5x5 enough for like an 02-06 altima? Before anyone cringes I'm not 'pimping' my altima, the paint looks like crap(Florida sun) and I am trying to clean it up.
I would measure it before doing anything. If your hood is 4x5, I would get a 5x6 sheet just to play it safe so you have a bit of wiggle room on each side
Make sure you re-tune the computer if you add a full exhaust. Other than the change of tone, the power will be the same once the computer re-learns the new air flow and adjusts the air/fuel ratio.
My roof has little rust on it ca I still wrap it bro?
Bit of a late reply but if its visibly rusty and rough, I wouldn't recommend it as the wrap would trap in moisture and continue the rust process likely even faster. Best thing to do and something I'd do if were in the same situation is to just get it repaired and paint the roof black as that was sort of the plan in the first place. I've seen people sand away the rust, fill any pores/imperfections, prime it and lay a wrap right on top without paint. Its your car and your choice, if you want to lay the wrap on rust, by all means you may but honestly I'd recommend it.

As far as for the lights. You could try and Color match the Chrome Instead try to paint them the grey because you have projector lights.
Shouldn't you put some sort of liquid between the wrap and the roof?
Such as window tint
You probably could but I don't see the need for it. The adhesive only really sticks until it is pressure activated

I would love to, but there is a hole in the side of the fender. A power line goes to the Z logo because it also acts as a turn signal

The car looks good man, but please tint the lights, then do the door handles. Then mess with the exhaust, it sounds fine now, but doing the front pipe and cutting the cat out would make that loud to a deaf man.

U messed up as soon as u removed the paper backing, the real way is remove the paper backing by rolling under film while its on the panel to reduce dust getting on it
