One of their most underrated and personal favorite songs in their catalog.
Amazing. Every word you said in that sentence was right.
Never mind this one song although I do agree with you, but this whole is underrated. I still don’t understand why it didn’t sell well, no 4 at least went platinum once but this album only cracked 5x gold
@@jpc9690 you'd think stp would be automatic for platinum after releasing core and purple.. But I guess everyone else is just missing out on this great album, they're loss aha
SlimmmShaney ya damn right
Favourite.
This song should have reached number 1. Few of us enjoyed this gem
I think we've all realized how every single song these guys released is pure magic... RIP
Rob deleo is a monster musician
Damn I sure miss Scott with the boy's. One of the best frontmen in rock history!
Stone Temple Pilots were one of the few bands to get music videos right. They should be praised for how creative they could be with them.
yes! 100 percent I agree! I'm replying to a four year old post.. I still love them! lol
one of best voices of his generation. R.I.P
🎶🎙️❤️😇❤️🎙️🎶
You are 100% correct sir!
Very true
I know man, it hurts so much
The best.
Scott could’ve been an amazing actor- such a chameleon, so freakin brilliant.
Scott’s facial expressions in this video are priceless. Like at beginning when says Monday or at 0:21 when he’s in the spacecraft. Idk it just seemed like they all had a fun time filming this video and they nailed the tone perfectly
I remember people hating this album so much. I loved it. It was so personal and Scott was at his best.
I remember buying the album and being deeply disappointed, beside a few tracks. I was young and closed minded. Now I think the album is so good and all the songs are great and brings me memories
you are so right, i love it, was so much more experimental, intimate and inspirational
I don't hate it.
Same, after the magnific N⁰4, Shangri-la was surely a let down, but it has grown on me steadily.
They really had 5 K.O. punches on a row.
The last one with Scott, yeah, that one is unsalvageable, sadly.
Lyrics
[Chorus 1]
Monday, back from the dead
I'm letting it go, back for another one
Tuesday, shoot me in the head
I'm taking it back, taking it back
I'll take it back
[Verse 1]
Wednesday, she's looking for a friend
She'll get what she wants
Can't seem to get enough
Thursday, it's more than I can stand
I'm holding her down, holding her down
She's down again
[Chorus 2]
I've got to find a way to find her
Where could she be?
Four days of the week
She thinks I'm the enemy
[Verse 2]
One day, left me for dead
Woke up on the floor,
Time for another one
Today, she's leaving me again,
Can't take it no more
Out through the open door
Three days, she's found herself a friend
She got what she wants
Still never get enough
Four days, she's back with me again
She's pulling me down, pulling me down
I'm down again
[Chorus 2]
I've got to find a way to find her
Where could she be?
Four days of the week
She thinks I'm the enemy
[Bridge]
Monday's gone
Tuesday's fading
Wednesday's gone
Thursday's all but wasted now
[Chorus 1]
Monday, back from the dead
I'm letting it go, back for another one
Tuesday, shoot me in the head
I'm taking it back, taking it back
I'll take it back
[Chorus 2]
I've got to find a way to find her
Where could she be?
Four days of the week
She thinks I'm the enemy
[Outro]
Thinks I'm the enemy
BIG THANKS
I love to watch Weiland's dance style :D
me too! It's like a mixture of Mick Jagger and Robert Plant moves put together : D
Oh yes Dwina Sharita Adinda !!!
it is something crazy
It's eclectic and unique at the same time.
@Kat Zen Zest LEGEND..
He's really natural. There was never any sense of pretense or phoniness. I wish Weiland was still alive and playing with STP - =(
The Bowie vibe is incredible!!
Scott has the best voice i've ever heard, bar none...he can sing ANYTHING....and the DeLeo brothers can't be beat either...LOVE STP
That’s it sister!!! You never really hear that from people but it’s so true! Most beautiful voice ever
The DeLeo brothers are criminally underrated
I'm 44 and lost touch with STP after the 2nd album. So now I've been checking out what I missed and I'm being blown away. This song is so catchy and fun. STP is starting to overshadow my favorite band Alice in Chains. Both are near and dear to my heart.
Isn't great when that happens? I had simar thing with The Strokes. I'm 33 and loved their first album and literally never heard a single song from them after that. Then 5 years ago, I decide to purchase all of their albums for some reason a d absolutely fell in love with all of them.
love both..stp is my fave 90s band..Alice is a close second...both bands have the deepest catalogs of great songs...not just 1 or 2 good albums...endless good songs from both
@@michaelfrazia4569 Guaranteed!! I seen Alice 3 years in a row in Cincinnati. In 2013, 14, and 15.
Don't forget Mad Season!!
@@RSCL_BEATZ I heard "River of deceit" on the radio back in 95 on the radio and recorded it on my tape player lol.
Scott's giving major David Bowie vibes
I fuckin love his moves when Deleo looks into the house and they're playing the chorus. Scott always just let that music flow through him literally
At 1:29 right ?! Love Scott RIP
I never got the chance to see Scott with stp did see velvet revolver once . RIP Scott God bless his family .
Amen
Saw them in 98 on their Tiny Music.. tour. It was the pinnacle of their careers. Superb show. I used to adore Scott Weiland so much when I was a teenager. He lives on in the music
Darrell Barber I saw him with both. I forgot all about Velvet Revolver.
I saw the other three guys with Talk Show open up for Aerosmith. they were good and all but when I saw STP on the No. 4 tour it was a whole different monster. to me STP is like Led Zeppelin in the fact that without any one of the members they're just nothing like when they're all together. and I still can't believe Scott isn't here anymore.
I saw both.
the Weiland's dance it's so hipnotic
Ikr 🙌🙌🙌😍😍😍
STP channeling their inner Foo Fighters with these melodies and music video.
Laughable.
Lol STP actually had good songs..not people just trying to convince themselves they were good because the drummer from Nirvana was in the band.
This album is extremely overlooked! I have no idea why i started listening to it when i was first getting into them but Coma, Days of the Week and Bi-Polar Bear are such amazing songs
One of my favorite 5 Stone Temple pilots songs
SHE THINKS I'M THE ENEMY
We'll never forget you Weiland. You are loved!!!
The definition of a frontman!! Bon Voyage, Scott! Thank you for everything!!
Love this song, makes me sad and happy. Happy that it exists, sad because Scott does not anymore.
Same..🤫 He was so beautiful and talented
RIP Scott Weiland, this band will never be the same without him!!!! His charisma and voice were unique
Yeah... this song in particular cements itself in my mind at a time when everything was still going great.
😔
My favorite radio station is playing this right now on the air November 30, 2023. Thank you DJ Mark. 😊❤
In a lot of ways, not every way, but close, I relate to this song. Thanks STP.
I still miss this guy terribly 😢 rock in heaven Scott… you’ll always be loved ❤️
Van Halen used to be my favorite band....Stone Temple Pilots have taken that spot!
going to the beach the other day my friend had this on his playlist. now I'm giving the album another listen. STP's videos are so weird and wonderful. can't think of a band who made better ones.
Def Leppard has made more I'd wager but their videos aren't as outlandish
It is good beach music.
Smashing Pumpkins
One thing about Scott I find amazing is he was the only singer I can think of who had at least three distinctly different sounding voices all excellent. Anyone unfamiliar with stp listening to the songs sour girl, big bang baby, sex type thing would think they were sung by three different singers.
Oh yes, when I was first getting into STP, I had to look up who sang Sex Type Thing
Hello, It's Late is another example of his range.. amazing voice
Their albums are all so distinct and different. Much like the band Ween!
Check his cover over Winter Wonderland, he's got 4 voices, not 3 😉
i liked his voice on the first record the best, strong and powerful.
This is the great part about STP. They can totally change their look and style for each song and video.
Great song.. this was passed their great days.. but still were able to make great tunes. Scott had a great voice.. knows how to create great hooks
i mean come on no other rock bands that sounds like this. the chord progressions and melody, damn
Still love this song and this entire album!!
Scott is very handsome in this video.
Fantastic song. Miss ya, Scott! RIP legend.
When this song came out I would just play a game with it on repeat in the background. It cycles nicely and dammit...I just always loved STP
I remember hearing Scott say he was thinking early seventies Led Zeppelin musically and Elvis Costello lyrically. Strange combination but I have to admit that's a great way to describe this song. It sure seems like the most talented people are often the most troubled
Moves Like Jagger is actually about Scott Weiland.
@Jon E hell yes!
It's not but nice try
Boss
@@crow4177 If Scott wasn't so crazy, STP would probably be the best band in the 90's after Nirvana.
@@andreanjos503 STP is better than Nirvana tho
Sound like Led Zeppelin circa 1973 . I dig this
I fucking love when Scott dances.
Since this is RUclips; This is the most underrated songs ever and STP is a national treasure.
Was 18 when this was released. Nice time seeing them live in ATX
I love the way scott weiland dances. He has no rhythm but he moves so slickly. Its really really cool. I practice it in the mirror. LOL
SWEET DELICIOUS EAR CANDY! WE MISS SCOTT SO MUCH! GOD BLESS. LONG LIVE STP!
Weiland was in two other bands at other times in his career, but his years as STP’s frontman were unparalleled. RIP.
This is the song that gets stuck in my head the most. It’s certainly not a bad thing!
Best video they ever made. They actually seem like they like each other. ❤❤
I worked on a video with these guys after this song came out. I told them it really reminded me of XTC.
They were stoked by the compliment.
1:40 one of those song parts you have to replay like 10x to be completely satisfied
but even 10 isn't enough sometimes
Scott is so gorgeous here 😍
Vc é brasileira?
Lovely song, really nice video too. My favorite from Shangri-La Dee Da.
I met Scott Weiland at a rehab in Malibu years ago, nice guy
lucky you i remember taking to Eric Clapton on the phone once
Scott is the ultimate front man for me. I know many will disagree but I mean come on, look at his performances.
Never got to meet him... :(
Always gonna regret not having being able to go see STP in Lima-Peru...
They came in 2010, I didn't see him either :(
they're a lot better live
Lo mismo
I saw them twice. First time they opened for Megadeth, the second they opened for RHCP. STP blew the Chili Peppers off the stage
Scott is so GLAM! I Love you!
In my mid twenties when this album came out I had it playing continually. It was part of the soundtrack of my life just before I got married, and when I lived perfectly alone with no debt and no cares. Good times with good music!
Saw them 7 times last time was in Birmingham Alabama after a really tragic line of tornadic storms ripped through our state it was Celo Green Alabama Shakes and the Pilots ....it ROCKED🎉
This album is very good.
Probably the poppiest song they recorded, but still damn good.
This is one of my favourite song and always I feel it like the perfect song to the end of a perfect band like STP.
This is one of STPs best songs, but it came so late in their discography few people know it exists.
He was beautiful
The music, the videos, so thankful for STP. Not one bad album in there catalog.
Such an Amazing and Innovative Band...They were so damn good. ❤️
I love how searching "days of the week" comes up with a ton of RUclips kids videos. Kiddos can learn the days of the week just as good, if not better with this song.
this film clip is a comedic masterpiece so entertaining!!
r.i.p scott and r.i.p chester
this man is amazing
I know the Shangri la era wasn't the most healthy for STP but damn I love when it looks like they're having fun
i love this so much i cant effin stand it!
One of the best STP songs, and always my favorite.
I love it when he dance
Scott, the DeLeo brothers and Owen Wilson on the drums, what a combination
I love all the STP videos, but this one is the cutest of them all! I think not only Scott is beautiful, but Robert is beautiful in that astronaut outfit...he is humbly handsome, without posing like many others do. I love Robert🥰
One of their coolest random simple songs with catchy bass grooves and killer guitar work.. love going on my STP benders and remembering all the good times I had in the 90’s jamming out to them
Scott Weiland looks like the younger Clint Eastwood and got moves like Jagger.
I love this song
Another STP great song underrated.
this song is amazing
Awesome song, STP fan forever.
RIP Scott
This guy is so good........Velvet Revolver too 🌹💜🌹 We will see him again. 🙏
I think this is the song that made me enamored with this thing back in the early 00's. I heard this and fell in love with the band.
Great way to start the day
Qué buenos recuerdos me trae este tema! Aguante STP!!
I wish they had more songs in this pop direction
Yeah me too. This is magical and i always hoped we'd get more like this.
Scott capo total!!! Se te extraña!!!
It's good to know there are bands our there like stp who have great talent seriously this has to be one of their best songs
Classic 🗓 💯❤️🔥
Time machine take me back 1990” 🤘🏻🎸 🔥🎶
Lol I think it was 2001
Summer 2001
Great song!
STP ROCKS
Makes me happy instantly every time 👍🤚🏻🍄
The video is very good! This music is beautiful. I Love STP. I'm from Brazil
Amazing!!!!
This band is pure gold
used to listen to this album all the time back in 11th grade. such simpler times
This is my favorite 😍❣️😍❣️
love this song
I love the bridge part in this song!! so good up loud
I dare anyone to not smile while watching this…
