One time when I was 16 I went to a Reb beach clinic. I talked him into selling me his personal Ibanez jem 77 BFP that Steve vai just sent him the week before. He sold it to me right there on the spot,and thought me how to tap in 5 min. Remember that , when you think of Reb Beach. Dude is a humble legend, and yes I still have the Guitar. 32 years now

I bet Reb has the soft spot for his early 80s red Kramer guitar that he recorded with and filmed with Winger back in the 80s. I admire Reb's humbleness.
Saw an interview w/ him recently and he was asked if he could get one guitar back from his past, which would it be. He said it was his blue Kramer. He had said in that interview that when Winger went from selling millions of albums to selling less than 100 thousand w/ Pull, he went broke and lived off selling his guitar till the Alice Cooper gig came up.. He also said he had to borrow 500 from Alice for the plane ticket to get out there to LA for rehearsals..

I believe the color is a Ford color called “Mystic”. They used to apply it to the Mustang Cobras of around 1996 or so. Maybe a one-year only color, I think. Looks great on a electric guitar!

Just watched this( June 2024). Great Equipment! Thinking about buying that Suhr Shiba Overdrive Pedal.
When I first saw Reb Beach playing with Winger in the late 80's, I thought THEN he was to good for that band. Glad to see Suhr supporting him.
What a legend this man is!! Thanks Reb for inspiring me over the years and I look forward for you to kick some more ass in the coming years.

Got that right . Reb's solo work . JUST WOW . Glad I checked out his equipment setup. A lot of times if you're looking for a particular sound, you find the source in how and what gear people are using. He has one of the greatest sounds in rock music and the style the back it up

Good Riffs always never boring
Purple painted looks awesome but that natural wood signature one is the best.
I've just learned to play the main riff for Time To Surrender" which has to be coolest riff ever played.
Saw Reb/Winger open for Deep Purple back in 1990 for their (DP's) Slaves & Masters tour and always dismissed them (Winger) as just another fluff hair-band but when I saw & heard Reb tearing up his fretboard on stage it was quite a shock. He was amazing and was doing stuff that rivaled ANY guitarist technically. I developed instant respect for him and so glad he's still out there jamming.
And so it was the same for me it was the live performance that turn my world around because of him he plays with so much emotion passion he just bares his soul to the world when he plays the face the body and just the energy he puts into it you can tell how confidant and how talented and how serious he takes his career I mean the whole nine yards is there!
Brilliantly talented, funny, and still so hot in his age. Long live Reb Beach!
I LOVE that finish on the purple guitar(flip flop purple/blue)!!!! Aside from the gold, it really looks like the Seventeen video guitar colors.....Always wanted that guitar back in the day. I LOVE that! John, I want one lmao! Reb's a great player and always seems like a good guy.

Wow, I'm shocked that Reb has put his Koa with EMG's into backup status and is rocking the Classic with the SSV & V70's as his main guitar.
He's the only guy that makes those damn things bearable. That being said EMG are too sterile.
It was only temporary. Saw Reb the other night. He had the black Suhr, the Prism with EMG's, the white one with EMG's, the flame top with the pickguard from his old Sig model, also with EMG's.
Superb! been wanting to see Reb's gear in its latest form for while. Thanks very much :) I'd love to see a lower wattage smaller OD/PT 100 similar to the Mesa V 25 and with Suhr's reactive load built in for recording. hint hint :)

You guys should ask Reb if he'd be interested in a custom model that replicates his old Ibanez Voyager axes he played back in the day with that cut-out notch behind the bridge. I always identify that shape with Reb.
I insist on super thin necks too and shot scale, which is why I only play 90-95 MIJ Charvel and Jackson Fusions:)
I went to Paris France on my Honeymoon back in 2019 and my wife and I stayed with a host couple I'm a musician drummer/guitarist and I'm looking at this guitar that our host had on his wall and it had what looked like SUB on the head..and I'm thinking this must be some cheap Turkish guitar. It was a SUHR. I also have meet Reb and Rob a long time ago really nice funny guys.

For the record I cut my P bass headstock that same exact shape and put on smaller sealed tuners and the p bass practically sits in a more upright angle. And stays there. Takes so much dumb weight off.
Who knows the song at the start of the video?? It sounds like Stormbringer but I know that wasn't on the set list for the show at the Saban
