    I have a 2024 Forester Wilderness and so far I'm very pleased. While showing my wife the 2024 vs the 2025 she actually likes the 2025's looks better. Her 2015 F-150 is getting up there in miles so our discussion now is getting her a 2025 Forester Sport when the time comes. She's a truck girl but has also said the crew cab F-150 is a an overkill now. Please Subaru, bring back the Baja and then she can have both.

      As someone who's lived both in the PNW and NE, there's really no comparison. When people from the NW say things like that, it's usually a reference to the fact that you can SEE the mountain ranges from everywhere. The ranges in the NE you can't really see unless you're in them. In the NW, you can often see more than one mountain range from any vantage point, as well as one HUGE mountain (like Rainier, Hood, Adams, Baker, etc). Mountains are just more present in the NW.

    ‘22 owner here. I like the styling of the ‘19-‘24 models better but this isn’t bad. I dislike that they are not offering lighter colored headliners anymore though… all black will make the cabin feel more closed in, and an open airy cabin has always been a hallmark of the Forester. Hopefully they preserved the aspects that Forester owners love (spacious, airy cabin and loads of visibility)

    I love the redesign. They changed what I thought was the worst part of the Forester…the front end. It just looked…to use Ryan’s word,derpy. The rest of it I loved. So the front end looks better now IMO, a little more modern and aero and sleek, but the back end which always looked good is very similar to the last gen. As far as the “take a break” and “keep eyes on road” messages, obviously I don’t know if it’s the case with this Fozzy, but my wife has a Mazda CX-9, a ‘20, it doesn’t have the facial recognition software. However when we road trip it gives the same messages, but they are based on time and mileage. So once you’ve driven a certain amount it gives you those messages. Might not be the case here, but could be I would think.

    Looks inside like my 2024 outback touring xt . Just came back from my long trip from NYC to Myrtle Beach SC and back . Drove approximately 1600 miles. Average 27.2 mpg . Two people and staff loaded in the car . Most of the time I was driving on cruise control. Average speed 70 mph . Turbo engine 277 hp . I’m using 87 octane gas (cheapest in NYC). That’s the great car . New image of Forester doesn’t mean it’s a new . Same like make up an old face . Looks younger but inside same old …my car is going 0 to 60 less than 6.0 seconds. 9.6 Seconds 2024 Forester ? With empty seats? I don’t blame you . I would do the same if I get paid. I paid for my car 41,056 plus tax and dealer fees. MSRP 44,368 . Happy Mother’s Day ! 😜

    • @jaumeprimerelhipster
      @jaumeprimerelhipster 14 дней назад

      I see the sky quite black on that direction. Everyone is waiting for the hybrid. Except we'll all get disappointed. Subaru's marketing revolve around their SAWD/CVT/Boxer combo. The problem is that this combo just doesn't get along well with hybridation. Their hybrid version in Europe gets a small 17 hp engine that pushes for an astonishing 60 Nm of torque. Whatever meaningful electric engine they put in the Forester, the CVT will just not cope with it without breaking. At this point, they could go the Toyota way and put a bigger engine on the rear axle but that would get away with SAWD and would make CVT pointless (vs e-CVT). No matter what they do, they are kidnapped but their own tech.

I Mean you can get proper RAV4 that has great economy and power which has AWD in times of need, but if you get stuck most likely you will just overheat your system xd, great review tho! love the subaru!

    I think it is an absolutely fantastic car and will probably order one when it comes out with the hybrid model... what I don't understand is why they dropped the turbo 2.5 offering in this car several years ago. I believe Subaru should bring it back along with the new hybrid model. The standard engine is way too anemic for my tastes. I wish you would have videoed yourself passing that semi you came up behind on that 2 lane road to show how long it took to pass the truck if you even had enough straight road to pass it.

There were very few sales, but when Subaru deleted the standard transmission option, EVERYBODY was whining that it was no longer available, "I would have bought one with a stick", yadda yadda, etc. Well, they DIDN'T, and Subaru is not the size of a GM, Ford, or Toyota, so they can't afford to manufacture cars & options that don't sell. As for the "I was told the real reason" nonsense... show me a Subaru corporate official comment that repeats what you were told. Car lot BS - ALL car sales people with all brands spew this nonsense.
