I appreciate your comments on both. I'll pass on to her the results of your review, but those two areas will probably still keep her from buying.

They said all Subaru's do it and then they slapped me with a diagnostic fee even though I have full warranty. At this point these are falling behind with that ancient powertrain. The styling took a step backwards this year and they are so much less fuel efficient than the Honda or Toyota hybrid options.
Will be curious to see if 2026 Outback (redesign like rumors suggest) incorporates Subaru’s next gen driver cockpit and infotainment system. If so, too bad this refreshed Forrester stuck with the current setup. Not bad, but a slow response time to touch inputs several years in without being properly addressed remains extremely disappointing. Rumored hybrid powertrain option would be interesting to see as well. Otherwise, this is a vehicle that knows its target market well and overall delivers.

The area I live in Western Maryland Subarus are very popular and have some of the most loyal buyers.
Two reasons, one the cars are very reliable and two they are better in deep snow than front drive based AWD systems. I’m sure it’s because of the low center of gravity of the boxer engine and symmetrical AWD.
As far as the CVT goes, to me it’s not as loud as some others I’ve driven and the way they make it shift it feels like a typical transmission.
I’ve owned a lot of cars and trucks and this Crosstrek has been a great car.
Mine was an early 2018 and I have put Falken Wildpeak tires on it and it goes in snow.
I’m looking at getting a new Subaru and was waiting to see this and the new Outback. At first I didn’t like the looks of the Forester, but it has grown on me.
Joe dont forget to show & test for us the new BMW 5 & 7 series😮 mercedes is doing well with the new design dont forget it
You got it!
At this point these are falling behind with that ancient powertrain. The styling took a step backwards this year and they are so much less fuel efficient than the Honda or Toyota hybrid options.
Hybrids are for Karen & Ken
Will be curious to see if 2026 Outback (redesign like rumors suggest) incorporates Subaru’s next gen driver cockpit and infotainment system. If so, too bad this refreshed Forrester stuck with the current setup. Not bad, but a slow response time to touch inputs several years in without being properly addressed remains extremely disappointing. Rumored hybrid powertrain option would be interesting to see as well. Otherwise, this is a vehicle that knows its target market well and overall delivers.
Joe and Lori and Steve keep up the good work real true and I love the video 👍
Thanks brother for having my back!
Flat 4 is 1930's engineering. Collects dirt, hard to work on, the physical forces pull the engine apart. Expensive to maintain.
Subaru Head gasket $3700. Toyota Head Gasket $2000.
the Honda CR-V is one of the more reliable vehicles on the road. The Subaru Forester Reliability Rating is 3.5 out of 5.0, which ranks it 10th out of 26 for midsize SUVs.
That's funny, CR has it at #1 out of 21 compact SUV's in 2024.
A mother Inlaw carrier gives me more interest
One of the few cars (and trucks) my 6’7” husband can sit in comfortably. He couldn’t fit in any Honda product. So we have the 2024 Touring.
Do you have children and if so were they natural births in a hospital?
@@xL0stKIlah funny question. No problems. He was just 7 lbs when he was born full term. Newborns seldom reflect adult size.
We just bought the 2025 Sport and my husband fits great in it at 6'2. We previously had a Rogue and looked at the new models and he did not fit as well in the Rogue.
Hi it’s Lucy I don’t like the auto start stop feature. I do like the vertical screen in the centre. But I like the older one better. My husband likes the new forester.😂❤🎉😊
Less than $100 can delete the start/stop
@@danielfair4675 Great big off button the dash you press at startup. No problemo.
Yes of course Joe & I be happy to afford this.
Question do you personally think the 2025 subaru forester is a better vehicle than the mazda cx5, toyota Rav4 or honda CRV, your respond stay safe looking forward.
test drive or buy each one and let us know. :)
The look is really growing on me. Well done, Subaru.
You are not the first to say that!
