@@CajonMaster I prefer no snares for authentic peruvian sound..but would put snare on for Western music...I a fan of Indian... Peruvian. And Latin..mostly...of you get chance to play a Gon bops artisan..you will be hooked..I promise..🥁🥁😁

The finger shot is my favorite shaker. I like that it only makes sound on the down stroke.

Nice list! I am missing probably only cajon cabasa here, I use one and it is probably my most used cajon addon!

I have about half the items in this video. My next purchase will be the Meinel Delux Cajon Seat. Those thin pads just don't make it after sitting an hour to an hour and a half.
My meinl adds broke to easy.but heck stick lasts longer..I must have around 50 add ons now...nice video😁🥁🥁knee sizzle board and knee snare box are best add ons I ever bought..last good time..use bass amp and plug into a pa for great bass and high slap sound and cushions inside cajon

Mate, on your video you said the finger shaker from LP is 5$ and when I open the link description for it says 31$! Haha anyway you can find very similar ones on eBay/ AliExpress/ wish etc. For like 5 or 6$ incl shipping cost. tbh I migh even try to DIY it with a small egg shaker I have, and just attach the ring for finger. Nice cool attachments for cajons they are, I like the cymbals attached to the side, I actually did this with the foot tambourine placing Velcro haha I found hard to co-ordinate with different rhythms and also my ancle hurts after a while been playing.

Great video, thanks. What are your thoughts on a foot shaker? With the finger ones doesn’t it mean it’s always “on” as you’re using your hands to play the cajon but the foot one gives you more control?
I tried once and it’s great! There are many options to use in your feet, try it and let me know if you like it 😉

Hi Gianluca, thanks for your comment. There are several good cajons nowadays, and I think in the German brand schlagwerk or the Spanish Abueno you can find modern sound cajons, but there are many good ones around there. Important you test it out and choose the one you like the most. About subwoofer, I've used once but it was not from Meinl, and it works good for recording 😉cheers!

If you were getting ad on accessories for the cajon, would you have to be careful where you attach them because of the tape?
Yes it can be annoying. As I don’t have it all the time on the cajon I normally use and remove after. Which accessory do you like?

Sim, estou sempre respondendo as mensagens ;) Claro que é possivel aprender a tocar cajon e com tempo espero que todos os meus alunos estejam tocando com outros músicos. Como qualquer instrumento, isso vai depender de quanto tempo vocē dedica à prática do instrumento. Indico a todos a estudarem os conceitos que ensino e colocar em pratica com musica. Quanto ao que pode ser o cache de um cajon player, isso vai depender de que tipos de trabalho vc vai fazer (gigs, concerts, studio, etc.) Gostaria de saber qual é o seu objetivo (goal) com o cajon?

best gift for a cajon player is a drum kit
DONT BUY THE ZOOM H2N!
its soundquality is not that good. if you dont want to spend to much money, but still habe very good audio quality, then buy the H4N or the H5! with the H5 you have microphone capsules which you can change and there are XLR sockets with phantompower. so if you want to use your own microphones in the future, you can use them also outdoors!

I have to say, I really do not find the cajon to be a very interesting sounding percussion instrument. It doesn't surprise me at all that some players would want to add other instruments to it.
