  • Yes that title is indeed correct. If enough interest with this video happens I will bother taking a look at a derivative of XP called FLP! The total amount of footage I gathered showed XP took 1hr 50min to install! Yikes!

      Thanks! I just noticed that myself. I can't believe how quickly this channel has been growing with the past 2 videos that I uploaded. I'm thinking that perhaps I've hit critical mass to grow and grow quick utilizing the YT algorithm.

    I made windows xp run in a pentium at 75mhz and 64mb dimm ram at 2004... that was epic, since it was running windows 98 with lots of blue screens and the windows xp had no problems nor blue screens...

    2:48 reminds me of my retro PC collection, every single one of the 4 or 5 I have all died over a 2 month time frame... Along with my daily driver... I have a Pentium 75 that won't POST without the Dallas chip.

    • @DimondDoesTech
      @DimondDoesTech  Год назад

      Oh god no. While I don't have machines with the Dallas chip in them I've heard many a story in how much of a pain in the butt they are to change

    • @UltimateElectronicFun
      @UltimateElectronicFun Год назад +1

      @@DimondDoesTech It did suck. Most of the time whoever changes it is lucky because the chip is oftentimes socketed, meaning they can pull the old one out and put a new one in. Not in my case, it was soldered, so I had to desolder it, of course I put a socket in there so it'll be easier for whoever changes it next...

      Hmmmmmm Or perhaps something stranger than fiction... OS2 Warp...
      Or, now I'm not even sure this would even be possible, but maybe Vista could be possible when I upgrade the ram to 256Mb (the maximum unofficial amount this platform supports)

      @DimondDoesTech  Год назад +1

      Oh jeez that's not going to be happening. Although... I may see if Vista or Win 7 is a possibility....
      Edit: Actually it COULD work once I upgrade the system's RAM up to 256Mb. And by that I mean Win Vista Starter would work and maybe, just maybe, Win 7 Starter... unless I get shafted by lacking basically all "modern" instructions on the CPU
