      Don't listen to the haters... Be lots of them online... Just filter..... But yes... Your conviction and determination will be evident as you film. So far it's evident that you are not afraid to take on new things, share your passion and progress with others, and have hopes and dreams for the future. I wish you all the success you can find.... Let your personality and your dreams shine through... Like why did you go tiny... How did you decide to save the money... How are you financing the build.... How can others do it too...

    Love the exterior. When you build out a tiny kitchenette, tiny shower. That's a home! I live between my camper and a 14 x 24. Love my bill free life. Propane,Solar and generator for in case all else fails me. 😂
    I pay my truck insurance and cell phone bill. I was tired of working to hand it all back in bills. I van do a lot more things now and rescue animals is my passion. Cattle, horses, dogs, 1 cat, 1 19 year old parrot and a baby turtle I saved from a bird. Enjoy life, its to short and you can afford stuff after this is finished. Buy you a little solar at time. I started out with used batteries. It all comes together..... Good Luck and Enjoy. From: Tennessee 🐾🐾

    Hi there! The cottage is really cute! I, too, just purchased a building to make into my home to put on my youngest brother’s & his wife’s property. Thank goodness we have options to get out from under these ridiculously high housing prices. I’m outside of Austin, Texas.
    Best to you!! Keep showing your progress. We’re all interested!

    A work in progress but you'll get there if you put your mind to it.
    Please buy a carbon monoxide detector since you have propane in there.
    I hope you tightly turn off the propane tank when not using.

    Also a fire detector.

    For your foundation.... Just an FYI.... Those blocks often BREAK... Please consider digging down a bit... And laying a little gravel, near your cinder blocks... and then stack up a few layers of pressure treated 2x10's or 2x12's.... Or bricks.... To back up those cinder locks.

    • @leslie6189
      @leslie6189 11 месяцев назад +8

      Cost wise.... You mentioned 13 thousand..... And you still have more to spend... So that's quite the investment... But it's nice to be able to finish it out just the way you want..... However... We bought a 8x20 incredibox by Incredible Tiny Homes.... I don't like the look outside of what we bought... But it was all we can afford.... But if we were just starting out again... We would buy the 8x16 special they have for 15 k.... As it's ready to go... Whereas, we will have to add a lot to our home to finish it out.... But for us, budget dictated the plan...

    I would like to comment on the dog crate. My dog - shih tzu - loves her crate. I leave the door open so she can come and go as she wishes. She has a fluffy bed that she lounges in as well as sleep. She seems to like the security and comfort of her crate. She will go into the crate on her own, lie down and watch my husband and me. I think one of the reasons she likes a crate so much Is that she can see what is going on around her.

    I agree, expensive. But, let me share this with you. We had a 8’x10’ she’d on a cement pad. Needed new siding and a door. That’s all! Frame, roof, window all good. About 4 years ago my uncle resided it for me, for free. Materials to side over $2,500. So keep up the good work👍🏼 Your doing well. Keep track of actual costs. People are interested. Have fun🤗

    It looks Beautiful!! Love the flowers, the doors and the light syou have inside also. Def subscribed so I can catch all your updates have desired some remote land for well over 2 decades now. I live in the Mitten state also and am doing my all to manifest some restriction-free acreage so I can have alternative structures as homes for myself and people in need to live in as well as house sanctuary animals and greenhouse for food production & water catchment systems. in Livonia we aren't "allowed" to have anything like that or else I'd go the shed, shipping container, train caboose & cobb strawbale/dome way. I also desire to allow people with van homes to have a safe lace to park avoiding zoning. I adore your home and wish you much more success to come!

    I didn't read all the comments.. someone may have mentioned..Amazon sells screens for double doors you just hang with velcro.. that's what i use. Also careful with the mechanism on the 2nd door that you push in to open, especially if the house isn't level yet. My house isn't and that mechanism got all jacked up and gets stuck . I'm afraid to open now in case it gets stuck open and i won't be able to lock it. Very nice tiny home!

    I'm thinking you need a shed to shed in the near future. I'm totally off grid and I love it. Once I had everything I owned here it was a nightmare. Make a pile for each category and you will definitely be surprised. 👍

    You are off to a good start. Please watch the plastic on your hanging rack if the heater is sitting in its home. I am a thrifter, love thrifting. Watch the curbs as you drive. People throw out some amazing stuff just because they dont want to deal with it. God bless and good luck. This is an exciting time in your life. Watch lots of other tiny home videos and get some idea's. One couple used an ironing board base for a pretty large table. It hung on the wall/or proped til needed. Very nice idea. Again I wish you well.
