  • Have you ever wanted to copy or import information into Excel from a book, sheet of paper, image, or video?

I'm old-school and use pencil and paper. But the easy way to do it in Excel is to have three columns: Column A is the monster/character name. Column B is their Max HP. Column C is their Current HP. Then use a bunch of columns to the right of that to input individual damage amounts.
So for column C in row 3, you'd enter the formula =B3-SUM(D3:Z3).
Each time someone takes damage, enter the amount in one of the columns to the right. For healing, enter a negative number. It should automatically update.
Hope that helps. Maybe I'll make a quick video about this, so thanks for the idea.
And be sure to check out my video on making an encounter tool: ruclips.net/video/ykHyBY74xCU/видео.html
