What if I have different invoices from different suppliers that are structured differently and some invoices are 3 pages long or the invoice has two different VAT rates. Can the tool also recognize it? If so, is there a video about it?
This is a great video and I used to do this all the time. Now I prefer to do it with AI, it's just easier and faster. Got a couple of tutorials on my channel if anyone wants to check them out
I tried to transfer the table data of the scanned drawing to Excel. Unfortunately, it causes all the data in the table to be on a single line by separating the data with commas in the CSV. Couldn't split the data into separate columns as you show.Could you show how to break the data into individual cells?
It works great for 1 pdf file but unfortunately when you batch pdf files the data is not always in the same position so many of the excel cells remain blank because the program could not find anything in that position. So unless all the invoices have the data in the exact same position it will not solve the job. Maybe now with AI in the future the programs might recognize for example if you click "amount" to where the amount number is even if it has slightly changed position. I hope in the future we might see that. Until then, unless all the invoices you have to extract data have the same placing of the data it will not solve the extraction.
You're absolutely right. The batch data extraction feature we demonstrated in the video is based on creating area recognition frame templates. Therefore, for the data extraction to work accurately, the data extraction areas in all files need to align with the template positions.Your idea about the potential of AI in data extraction is excellent. It's indeed a promising direction. We hope that in the future, products in our industry will continue to delve into the application of AI in PDF forms.
Thanks! Great Video but there is still a little room for improvement. In general, invoices received are not the same. Is there a way to automatically (macro recording) search for and extract certain keywords. Sender, total amount or account number etc. For example I would like to Extract Name, Bankaccount and Totalsum to make faster payment
Thanks, I'm using Wondershare PDFelement, but I have a question. If a whole pdf consist two invoices, It means that its need two same field names( for example : Total), and should set in the same column in Excel.
In "Extract data based on the selection," it doesn't support duplicate field names. However, we can differentiate them by setting field names as "Total 1" and "Total 2," for example. If you want both totals to appear in the same column, you can use Excel's transpose feature!
Currently, our focus is primarily on recognizing computer fonts and print fonts, but we are continuously working to enhance our capabilities in recognizing handwritten fonts. Thank you for your feedback.
Hi! Does PDFelement allow me to get blank data? Let’s say that my order format is the same for every PDF file. However, the number of products are different depending on each order. Some orders include 3 products while some have more. And does PDFelement offer free trial?
Our "Extract data based on the selection" feature does support extracting blank data! After extraction, the fields you've set up will appear in Excel with their respective names, but the corresponding values will be empty in the table. You simply need to set up the template based on the maximum number of products. We offer a 14-day free trial, so feel free to give it a go and see if it meets your needs!

So method 2 & 3 only works if all invoices are of similar format?
Yes, this method is more useful for files that use the same invoice template.
