Thank you for ha having Dr. Hopkin on this week. He's a man after my own heart. I know firsthand how this inclusio/inversion/chiasmus works in Spanish medieval poetry and prosification. To me it is a testimony of the Lord putting the right people in the right places to accomplish His work and ensure the message of salvation reaches every heart.
I don't know if you will mention this in part 2, but what keeps coming to my mind is President Nelson saying, "I plead with you to increase your capacity to receive personal revelation. " This is strengthening our relationship with the Holy Ghost. This will help us be able to stand and abide the day, as we are more and more comfortable with the fire of the Holy Ghost. And eventually we'll be prepared to abide in our Father's presence, through Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost's sanctification 🙌
Thank you so very much for opening my eyes to the deeper meaning of Christ's Doctrine. I have to admit to myself I had a very limited view of what it was and now my vision and horizons are expanded and I see how very vital it is for my salvation. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I love the doctrine you both powerfully teach about the full unity of the Godhead. I think we as a church need to be taught this frequently. They're definitely is some confusion that surfaces now and then.
Sir- I thought your name was familiar when I 1st viewed your podcast - then this Resurrection weekend I was re-watching the BYUtv ‘Messiah’ mini series- and there you were! That was such a wonderful presentation - and you were part of it …
While you were talking about the words of Christ not only being scriptures but whenever the holy ghost speaks to us, I had the thought: that just as President Nelson taught that anytime we help someone come nearer to Christ we are helping to Gather Israel, whenever we do something to bring the Spirit into our lives, we are feasting on the words of Christ. Does that make sense??
This was a lot of fun. It seems your shows get better every time watched. This is the kind of deeper dive the Church needs. I wish you headed up LDS Correlation.
I am glad this is helpful! It is nice to have a place where we can deep dive. Church Correlation has to write for the entire international Church, so not everything fits there. It is up to us to do what works for us!
