Hi it's my birthday today! Still hoping u give me phone. Im sorry my phone is only redmi9c olad and super lag. Btw im a student from Philippines. I hope u read this hehe
On my S23 ultra for the past month or so, can say, i see no reason in upgrading, the form factor, the battery, processor, camera all of it is perfect, a material change and a flat screen isnt enough to convince me, but id highly recommend the S23 Ultra to anyone. I was iphone most of my life, crazy how amazing samsung really is!
i had google pixel phones for the past year this is the first year that i change to Samsung and i pre-ordered the new device hopefully i wont regret it
@@stevemustafa_91 you'll love it man trust me, pixels are good and all, but I thought the iPhone 14 pro max was the best phone in the world a year ago, hell I was wrong, can confidently say the best phone on the market, is S23 Ultra
I'm gonna keep my S23 Ultra for like 3 years. The battery, camera, performance, and speed are all amazing. It doesn't heat up as much as the S22 Ultra.
S23 Ultra has to be the best phone Samsung ever put together. Differences in comparison to it and future generations aren't going to be big whatsoever. Go for S23 Ultra guys, you'll have a beast.
S24 is just a more refined S23 Ultra. Honestly, If you have the S23 stick to it. But if you are coming from the S21 or S22 Ultra then I think it's a HUGE upgrade.
@DJ118USMC Nah, for what average user needs, s21 ultra is still great. If we're talking about smartphone enthusiasts which are minority, maybe. Phones are getting too good to change that easily.
The high end and mid range phones are so close in performance and have barely changed over the last 4 years that most people would have a hard time noticing differences in photo and video quality. The main reason to upgrade for most people is now battery life, zoom and low light photos.
Been waiting for this. I'm rocking the S23 ultra and I want to definitely be sure that the upgrade will be worth it. My heart is telling me to wait for the S25.
S27* Dude I have the S22 Ultra and won't upgrade for another two years if possible. These phones are all so close in performance it's not worth upgrading annually, biannually. I say three years out of these phones at least.
@@sunofabob Agreed.. videos like this sound like you really need the upgrade based on very small differences you won't notice day to day. For most users like me, you won't find a difference between the two unless you go looking.
@@sunofabob I support the 3 years min suggestion. I'm rocking an S21 Ultra and am finally gonna upgrade to the S24 Ultra cuz I feel there's a big enough difference to justify it. Minimum 3 years is definitely the best option if you don't wanna feel like you're wasting your money
Thanks for confirming about the display..... I was having OP 9 pro earlier then purchased S23 Ultra and I found out most of the people were Complaining about Muted or less vibrant color on S23 Ultra compared to S21 etc, I felt that My OP 9 pro was more vibrant than S23 Ultra...... I immediately sold S23U, now S24U is more muted then S23U then it's a big noooooo, I purchase phones for Display experience...... Thanks @SuperSaf
Yea I've noticed a downward trend with screen vibrancy over the corse of the ultra series (ive owned every one). Can't believe even less vibrant than the S23!? 😢 Maybe it can be adjusted in the settings?
@@e5m956 They put an option for the user to increase the vivid but it doesn't really change much, just like when trying to adjust to make the screen less yellowish.
I always get the version before the newest one and I've had my s21 ultra for quite a while so I've decided to get the s23 ultra! I'm so excited to finally experience it!
I'm going to keep my S23 Ultra but fair play to you for explaining how to get the new phone for as little money as possible, i'm sure that will benefit a lot of people
Just got mine s23 ultra today... itsss amazing in every aspect. Battery, camera, big screen,s pen, brighter display, fast charging,...best investment so far.... upgraded from note 9 since 2019 ❤❤
If you have the s23 ultra you shouldn’t upgrade right now. Either wait for Samsung to jack their trade ins up to $1000 in a couple months like they always do or wait a little longer than that for Samsung to do a sale like they did with the s23 ultra last year. I got a s23 ultra for $799 with no trade in 6 or 7 months after it came out.
But I can pay less than that now with a older phone trade in and get free Buds2 Pro and case. The Buds2 pro is $229.99 themselves. I think if you want the best deal the time is now. Do they give you free stuff such as the Buds2 Pro halfway through the year? 🤔
I'm using s9+ and currently in my 6th year of having it. I am considering to upgrade either to S23 Ultra or S24 Ultra. Newest ones are usually better, but my main consideration is camera and design, which leans me toward S23 ultra more (the flat screen combined with cornered edges in S24 Ultra makes it look bulkier to me). However, the discounts and promos during preorder period of S24 Ultra seems like a good deal. I am still torn in between, haha.
I preordered the 1tb ultra last week from Samsung Ireland. The main reason was the deal i got. I am trading in my s23 ultra 512 gb for €855($930) off the s24. I can also claim a free galaxy watch 6 40mm bt which is a pretty good deal. Excellent reviews.
I am upgrading from S21 ultra and honestly I would’ve still kept it if I hadn’t broken my screen couple of days ago. Current preorder deals are amazing though. Ordered S24 ultra 512gb for a total of 1120€…
Excellent video Saf! Continue like that ! I'm still using the S21 Ultra and I'm still very happy with my phone. In general, I don't feel the need to buy anything new because the differences are still very small in my personal opinion. Samsung and Apple have been selling the same phones for 3 generations. And as far as their presentations are concerned, I have the feeling that even they don't know what to cite as a difference, so they cite some very small things and just present them as big. Best Regards from Europe
@@dratul15 The same design for a couple of years, the same cameras, the same sensors, Fingerprint, waterproof, gorilla glass this or that... Android as Android, same icons, same apps, everything works the same except for AI which is on S24 AI on steroids - who needs that I agree. Besides that... nothing new. Waste of money.Same goes for Apple.
I have a S21U and definitley upgrading. The battery life isn't great, the camera performance in low light and video dont hold a candle to S24U, no spen, 4x tougher display and anti-reflective. way more pros as well
I got the S23 Ultra and i will never understand why people switch there phones every year, the differences are so minimum! To me it's a waste of money to upgrade every year it's better to upgrade after 3-4 years, only than you will have a better phone!
Interesting video, the S24 Ultra seems like a decent device but I won't be upgrading from my S23 Ultra, especially as most of the AI features are likely to come to it with One UI 6.1
@@RobertK1993 they are for now, but Samsung have already announced that most of the AI features are coming to the S23 range plus the Z Fold and Flip 5 before the second half of the year. You can Google it...
@@RobertK1993 no, they are not S24 exclusives. where did you hear this? samsung confirmed the AI features will come to the more recent flagships last i heard
If you put on a screen protector the vibrancy will come back. It’s because of the anti reflective coating. Same as on the steam deck Oled with the etched glass. Dave 2D explains and demonstrates it very well.
I can't find his video but I don't understand... If the glass underneath is anti-reflective, adding a thin transparent film or window on top shouldn't have any meaningful effect. Why would it?
No. Unfortunately doesn't make a difference. My S22+ is much more vivid and rich as compared to my new S24 Ultra. Both these phones have a spigen screen guard ! A bit disappointing display this time..... probably get used to it in some days !
@@amoghmayekar5585 well damn that is a bummer. I’ll have to see this Friday once my device comes in. When I was at the Samsung store the s24u didn’t seem less vibrant than the s24 plus or my current iPhone 15pm. Unfortunately I sold my s23u so I can’t compare it. I do like the less reflections though. If the screen does in fact not look that great when watching content or customizing the display then maybe I’ll send it back for the s24 plus which doesn’t have anti glare.
Just a heads up! They added a vibrancy slider which needs to be maxed out under the RGB sliders in "advanced options" it can be a bit tricky to find. But after being maxed out. The vibrancy matches previous models. Bad choice by Devs. Vivid mode should be vivid to the maximum by default. If it is too much it can be turned down, rather than turned up via advanced settings
@klaushouse117 true but atleast we have options now. I have mine set on the 2nd setting of the slider and I use extra brightness toggle and now I barely have my brightness slider up. Looks stunning.
Great comparison and well explained regarding the advantage of the 5x telephoto over the 10x. I explained this to another RUclipsr and the results are close. When the light levels are low, the 5x will produce better results. The advantage of the S24 Ultra is the fact that all cameras can be switched for zooming from Ultra wide to longest telephoto zoom in UHD 4K 60fps. The S23 Ultra has to stop recording to switch lenses. There are other S24 advantages, but not enough to get one over my current S23 Ultra that I owned.
Yes i send the s24u back. I find the S24U more unwieldy than the S23U. The s23u display looks more borderless The S Pen is wobbly on the S24U and does not sit centered.
Staying on S22U and waiting for S25U. Saf what would in your opinion be a perfect zoom camera setup if you had to make choice between optical zoom lenght on two?
Im still rocking the S21 Ultra, this video helped some but i might be swinging to either getting S23 Ultra or holding out again till the S25 Ultra next year.
The upgrade deals were too good to pass up. I traded in my S21U. Who knows if we'll get these deals next year because samsung popularity is starting to explode with these flagships

D best review i ever seen. Subscibed imm as impressed by ur appealing style. Checking all yt videos on the subject in english, hindi & marathi for last 15 days & much confused as to whether upgrade from s21u to s24u or to s23u. After watching full video with taking into consideration every small detail explained by u, i am in a position to take a decision. Thnx a lot ! Expecting such many more videos in future giving clear message on variety of subjects.
6:58 One of the reasons why Samsung went from 10x to 5x zoom isn't because of quality, it's because of Apple chosing to do it. If Apple start putting grape smell in their phones, Samsung would mock them and do the very same thing in their devices. They have even started copying color shades from them, from removing charger to headphones jack to putting flat displays on phones they are closely following Apple so that they can stop losing to Apple in their own Korean market. This is a good strategy since someone who's used to iPhones or considering them will feel similar vibes from Samsung devices. Look at Samsung aggresively promoting their Ultra phones knowing that the other siblings just fall apart in terms of performance especially the Exynos version.
@@Mandeepsinghmakker Tbf as far as their watches, Samsung has been using Titanium since the Watch5 Pro in 2022. But for the Raw Titanium color way on the s24u, yea it is almost a carbon copy, but honestly I do think the shade with Samsung looks better than Apple, but I did pre order the Violet Titanium for my s24u bc I felt like the Raw Titanium color way feels like a copycat & the Violet looks more original & unique at least imo.
@gavinderulo12 I compared the 10x zoom in store between my s23 ultra and the s24 ultra and actually preferred the s24 ultras photo every time. Slightly less detail but much brighter and cleaner picture
Hi! This is what I know and experience: you can't confuse the S24 Ultra with the S23 Ultra even in the dark, because they are quite different shaped phones, the S23 Ultra has round back and front glass panels, the cameras don't all have a metal border, the frame is different, while the S24 Ultra has the back - and the front glass panels are flat, the cameras all have metal rings around them and the frame has a completely different shape, even if the room is dark, you can tell by touch. Samsung Ultra, like all other phones, must be consistently the same, that's what distinguishes them from others, whether it's Android or Apple iOS phones, and that's what's important. If you constantly change the shape of the phone, then they are no longer the same phones, but rather new phones. So it must be and fortunately can be Galaxy Ultra and or iphone 15 Pro Max and or for example Xperia 1 series are similar, only with small changes, but the shape and models are the same, they should not be changed in such a way that it is no longer possible to understand what kind of phone it is actually it is. The newer iPhone Pro series got a lot of changes, as did the Galaxy Ultra, but luckily they still looked the same as always, so you can easily tell which model it is. Thank you!
@@laurasolis2781 I would only switch if you really need the s24 ultra ai features honestly I don't see no point in switching. But if you wanna switch I would recommend a trade in instead of buying it for full price.
one thing to improve in video. you have s24 in right hand and s23 in left .. but showing pictures you show s23 in right and s24 in left. consistency would be nice
I just ore ordered the s24 ultra. I'm still stuck with my old S21 ultra and it's still performing perfectly impeccable. Can't wait to get my hands on the new series
That 100 X zoom comparison should've shown more of that 'rings' ghost staring there from the house..👻 S23 U's moon zooms look more detailed, especially for those craters. The S23 U was even better at that night zoom on the placard..
got mine today. upgraded from the s23 ultra because it just makes more sense in my case to upgrade now while the trade ins and all preorder offers are available so i got mine for 670. The more i wait the less money i can get when reselling and i don't see myself paying over 1500 at once. Yes the changes are subtles but enough to make me happy with my new phone. Love the flat screen, that 5x portrait , the fact that we now can switch lenses while shooting at 4k 60. Have yet to try the AI features
Same exact reason for me as well. With all the stacked offers for pre-orders with trade-ins, this is the highest I will ever get and free accessories too
Pre orders are good deals, true, but I disagree that the more you wait the less value is your device, back in September 2023 there was a great deal on the S23 Ultra, I traded in a S21 ultra and received a $750 credit, I only paid $415 so even with the supposedly great deals if I trade in my S23 Ultra I'd end up paying $738 to get the new device. Sometimes is just best to wait.
Great. I was worried that my concert camera was going to be downgraded. My S23 Ultra pics blew my friend's iPhone pics out of the water at every show we went to last year. I had to send her all of my pictures. So satisfying. 😂
I just wanted to let you know since im a concert goer too, make sure to disable the zoom mic at concerts if you film. It will give you better sound quality.
I have the S23 Ultra and currently on the fence about upgrading. The slight curve on my S23 Ultra looks more aesthetic imo, and there isn't much improvement in terms of camera on the S24 Ultra. I also always use a case, so the titanium finish isn't a must. However, that anti-reflection and brighter screen does look tempting.
Agreed, if anything I like the curved screen, I use the edge lighting for colour coding of certain notifications (can do it in modes and routines btw pretty cool) with a curved screen it's much easier to see, I think I'd find that at my job which is phone heavy (literally I repair phones for a living) it's more convenient than a flat screen display
@@PleaseDontDoThis4 gigs of ram makes no difference unless you have like 30 apps in the background... Even then you ain't gonna tell the difference. The difference is probably due to the better SOC anyway.
I upgraded from the S23U to the S24U because I can. It's the one and only thing in my life that i like to have the newest thing. I've been waiting for Samsung to go back to a flat screen since my S6. The flat screen was cool for a few years, but i got tired of it after the S10.
@unearth87 Yup. I got it 2 days ago. It's worth it to me. Been wanting the flat screen back since the s7. And the AI is useful in finding stuff out and about. Have used it countless times.
I currently have the s23 ultra, and it's an amazing phone. I unfortunately cracked it while snowboarding and got water on it. I filled a claim. They said s23 ultras are on back order for another month. They said their policy is to give me the same phone or better. They recently emailed me and said they have s24 ultras in stock, which they are sending me in place of my s23 ultra at no extra cost! Hoping for a good upgrade at no cost!!
I feel like reviewers are getting confused. Not Saf but others. They say the phone gets hot, and shouldnt because of the new vapor chamber. The whole idea of a vapor chamber, much like a heatsink is to get the heat from the chipset and out of the phone. How will it get out of the phone? By making the surface temperature hotter and disapating. The bigger vapor chamber means its better at doing this. The worst phones are those that dont transfer the heat to the surface well. So it builds up inside and the device has to drop screen brightness and performance. But its cool to the touch.
I was considering upgrading because the battery doesn't quit give me 2.5 days like it used to, now it's closer to just a tad under 2 days. This just doesn't seem like enough change. I'm not a professional photographer, so the s23U camera is more than sufficient for 99% of people. All the software updates on the 24 are already coming to the 23, so the AI and translation is coming in the next 30-60 days. The screen on the S23 Ultra doesn't scratch, no matter what anyone says. You would literally have to try and purposely scratch it. I got mine on launch and it doesn't leave my side, it's been to the beach and sand, pools, theme parks, my pocket which admittedly has been with keys a few times, and it comes out with me for yard work and gardening. It still looks like a brand new phone. I think I'll wait for August to see what the Fold 6 looks like as it's supposed to be a complete redesign.
As long as your phone lasts a full day theres no reason to upgrade... I've just gone from an s20fe to the S23 ultra due to the battery. I doubt I will upgrade from the ultra for at least 4 years cause the battery is a beast.
Hi Saf, I follow your videos for a while, and I always enjoy precise, and technical videos, very detailed, I going swap from the 1st ultra, s20u16/512gb to s24u12/1tb and I am really excited about it, but mine in UK will arrive on 19 of February, unfortunately, thank you for your videos and your dedication
Woah good shit man. I have a s21 ultra and I'm thinking of waiting for the s25 ultra. Should I go with the s24 ultra or wait another year for the 25? 🤔
I have my Note 10 plus for 4 years now, love this phone. I'm considering upgrading to the s23U, looks like an excellent phone and the price is much cheaper than the s24U
For me it's a yes and I'm using s23 ultra right now. First, the titatinum frame which is far more durable and the gorilla glass armor that has the anti reflective coating paired with 2600 peak brightness so taking pics/vids and just general viewing, this is an underrated feature that doesn't get talked about enough. Ltpo 4.0 now on the amoled panel, The 5x lens which can now shoot portrait shots, has a larger sensor, aperture and higher pixel count means it would be better in lowlight than the 10x optical before which was noisy at night and over exposed during the day, can't take portrait shots and can't take 8k but the 5x can. Better audio quality when recording videos, 4k120 slowmo finally we got slowmo in 4k!! Better image signal processor which provides better overall image processing. Saturation has been trimmed down as well. Screen protectors are now less expensive thanks to the flat display not to mention its easier to edit photos/videos now because of it. The ai features like call translate and ai editing features for photos. The faster read and write speed, better gaming, more efficient battery. Dual recording which let's you record 2 back cameras at the same time before it was just the directors view which let's you record two cams at the same time but only the front cam and back cam can record simultaneously now you can do both back cams. And the camera switching with 4k60 front and back cams is amazing!! Shutter lag is now gone as well. So to me, it's a yes. When you add up all these minor upgrades it results into a major one. People only say it's not worth the upgrade because their not a power user or they think an upgrade is only present when the look of the phone suddenly becomes different.
I feel like the AI software and other software stuff will be available on the previous devices with a simple software update. Those being the bigger deal to me, I don't see the point in upgrading from the S23 right now.
Good concise list this, but with one serious error. Multiple unbiased tests have shown that 'shutter lag' is still an issue. Many reviewers do not mention this, as to do so could result in them not receiving any more pre release test units from Samsung. The 5x zoom is very good between 5-10x, but after this it can look a little too contrasty and even border line cartoon like at @25x. The old 10x zoom is superior at higher than 15x magnification. Multiple people are hoping that the first software update can rectify dull washed out colours in some photos, as well as a strange pale softness in others. Also, 3D Mark has stress tested the 24U and found it has severe stability issues under heavy load(49%). The Exynos 2400 did better at 62%, but the 23 Ultra returned 80%. I predict a flood of unhappy complaining gamers when the S24 Ultra goes on sale. Samsung has fitted enlarged cooling chambers for a reason. They know the 8Gen3 has potential thermal weaknesses. This is the reason it will throttle in gaming also.
The S24 Ultra is an amazing phone to jump to, if you have an old device. If you have the S23 Ultra, there is literally no point. I had the S20FE (3 generations behind) and the difference in features wasn't too big. I received all of the bonuses of the Ultra, but if I jumped to the regular S23, I wouldn't see the difference
@KamleshDesai I don't think it will be very significant. I upgraded from the S20FE and the main difference was the Ultra/FE one, so nothing has changed all that much. But yeah, it's like upgrading your car from a 2019 to a 2023 one
I loved my s23 ultra, definitely the best phone I've ever had. Just got the s24 ultra just because I could upgrade for free and save $18 a month off the bill
You are so wrong. S21U is closer to note10+ than 23U/24U. Processing, battery, cameras, speakers, faster storage etc. S23U was the global Snapdragon - huge difference for the Exynos folks.
I bought the S24 Ultra and I should say compared to my previous Note 10 Plus there is quite a difference in how vibrant the screen actually is... The colors of the note are a bit more vibrant... 3 Weeks later and I felt that the note is too vibrant... So... I think once you get used to it it won't be anoying anymore. I compared the note to the S24 Ultra and I noticed a jump in performance, battery life and slight jump in camera performance... Like it is there but... I really think that it wasn't worth upgrading... Literally if you want a good upgrade you have to wait at least 7 years to upgrade your phone to notice a good difference.
Hi bro. I have pixel 8 pro what you say did I need to changed to Samsung s24 ultra or keeping my phone ? and is it true the next year 2025 you need to pay for AI in Samsung to used ?
Nope, its better on S24 Ultra, look on the water, the S23 Ultra is too contrast and too soft, meanwhile S24 Ultra remain natural and detail. Also look on 2nd wave, u can see water texture on S24 Ultra.
@@anonymoushuman_rh I cant say more detailed, becuz the noise is too much, also in S24 there are softening the image that will make less detail, S23 have that option too, if S23 do the smoothing, it will be the same, that why...
S23 series enjoys *4 major updates* (not 3) and 4 years of security updates. Also, since the point of the 5x camera is to fill the gap between that 3x and the original 10x, it would have been cool to see more sample from between 3 and 10x, not only at 5x, but also a 7x and 9x, to really gauge the improvements.
Yes, and as he pointed out, there had already been one major update, this year's android 14. So that leaves 3 updates moving forward, as opposed to the 7 for the S24. That was pointed out pretty clearly
A73 series also have 4 major updates, 4 years of security updates and I bought it for like 1/4 price of S23. If you think that's a great feature that you paid for a flagship phone, you have made a big mistake.
The aging Samsung phone lag issue is over for the most part. This is coming from someone who had an S6 that was barely running after 4.5 years and has been using a Note 10+ since August 2019 with very minor/rare hiccups here and there. My main concern is how obsolete the camera hardware will be after just 2-3 years; that's really the only reason to upgrade these days (in my opinion).
@@djsthemetereman I haven't made a move yet but it seems to me s24 ultra is the phone to get , unless you have the s23 ultra already then the move doesn't make much sense

I've had the S23 ultra for the past 1.5 years, the only downside at this point is the battery, cause i have to charge it twice a day. (6-7 hours onscreen video compared to 11 brand new).
Hmmm at first when i compared both, i found the s23 ultra to be more vibrant. But there was a hidden setting where you can adjust the color tone on the s24 ultra. It was set to on. As soon as i turned it off it became more vibrant. Grant you this was in store, still waiting on my s24 ultra to ship. Ill try it out at home!
@sweedishpie360 I played around with it at the store and didn't find that? It sucks because I wanted this phone but because of the color dullness compared to my s22 ultra I don't want it
I held on to the Note 10+ for over 4 years, until last Spring. I have a Pixel 7, but miss Samsung so much, I'll be going with an S23 Ultra, I always stay behind 1 generation. Hopefully, I'll purchase it second hand, watching my budget, and I'm sure there will be some good prices.

How much you got the price during black Friday deal?
The high end and mid range phones are so close in performance and have barely changed over the last 4 years that most people would have a hard time noticing differences in photo and video quality. The main reason to upgrade for most people is now battery life, zoom and low light photos.
Been waiting for this. I'm rocking the S23 ultra and I want to definitely be sure that the upgrade will be worth it. My heart is telling me to wait for the S25.
If you can take advantage of the preorder and trade in deals then consider it. If not, the S23 Ultra is a great phone and will last a while
@@SuperSaf just seen the trade in and pre-order deal and it's amazing. Will definitely check it out. Thank you.

Dude I have the S22 Ultra and won't upgrade for another two years if possible.

Would be a better comparison for sure, but less people would click on the video if it was an s22ultra.
Watching this on my S23 Ultra..😉
No. But they don't give any free stuff in eastern europe. So depends on where u are.@@e5m956

Your a smart person. No need to upgrade every year or even every 3 years. Waste of money

Plus, Samsung used the titanium material as Apple did.
I actually like the zoom change. Indoors 10x was basically useless as it zoomed in way to much. 5x is a much better middle ground for many scenarios.
@goldnovaelite samsung used to have flat displays so how are they copying Apple with that feature?
Thank you!

Same exact reason for me as well. With all the stacked offers for pre-orders with trade-ins, this is the highest I will ever get and free accessories too
So you paid £670 after trade in on contract on simfree?
@DearestMina only 3 free gift plus the £50 extra discount has expired
If you got a watch or the buds it's worth it. But 600 for a marginal upgrade, nah.

@@e5m956 Thanks for the tip. I will try that and see what sounds better at each show.

I'm in same boat. Get mine Friday..
Yeah thay just think the heat will disappear inside the phone lol
Like magic 🤣🤣@@JohnSmith-ef8nr

Thank you for the comment. It's a bit of a wait but will hopefully be worth it 🙌🏾
Woah good shit man.
Whatever excuses you want to make to convince yourself into buying the newer model then thats fine.
You don’t need to upgrade if you have an s23 already ,it is a waste of money if you do that ,the differences are margin and not enough to upgrade
Yawn
I received all of the bonuses of the Ultra, but if I jumped to the regular S23, I wouldn't see the difference
how good or big is the jump from a Note 10 Plus to the S23U?
@KamleshDesai I don't think it will be very significant. I upgraded from the S20FE and the main difference was the Ultra/FE one, so nothing has changed all that much. But yeah, it's like upgrading your car from a 2019 to a 2023 one
I love the variety thoughts of yours... Love from India...
I think if you have the s23, don't upgrade, but if you don't have one yet, then go 4 the s24.
Love my 23 Ultra..keeping it
I loved my s23 ultra, definitely the best phone I've ever had. Just got the s24 ultra just because I could upgrade for free and save $18 a month off the bill
7:56 zooming both device at 30× or 100× its still enough clear to see ghosts 👻 in the house.
Excellent comparison mate.🖤
😂👍🏽

Upgrading one year later usually makes no sense, but the 7 years support and AI features does make it a little interesting.
There's no point upgrading to the 24 cos the 25 will be a lot better
I had a question for you. I have the S22 Ultra right now. Do you think I should upgrade to the s twenty four ultra
S21-S24 are so similar. I want to see a comparison between S24 and S20.
You are so wrong. S21U is closer to note10+ than 23U/24U.
Processing, battery, cameras, speakers, faster storage etc. S23U was the global Snapdragon - huge difference for the Exynos folks.
Switched to S24 Ultra from S23 Ultra. So far, so good. Impressive!
What made you swap?
I’ve been waiting for this review although my s23 ultra is still running like new
Wait for the S26 U, it will be much better in terms of zoom and camera
why wouldn't it bro it's been only a year 😂
I bought the S24 Ultra and I should say compared to my previous Note 10 Plus there is quite a difference in how vibrant the screen actually is...
Literally if you want a good upgrade you have to wait at least 7 years to upgrade your phone to notice a good difference.
is it true the next year AI in Samsung s24 Ultra will coming prepaid?
Hi bro. I have pixel 8 pro what you say did I need to changed to Samsung s24 ultra or keeping my phone ? and is it true the next year 2025 you need to pay for AI in Samsung to used ?
7:47 I'm sorry the S23 Ultra is just better in the further zoom ranges
Nope, its better on S24 Ultra, look on the water, the S23 Ultra is too contrast and too soft, meanwhile S24 Ultra remain natural and detail. Also look on 2nd wave, u can see water texture on S24 Ultra.
@@stevin2204 I'm talking more about 30x and 100x
@@anonymoushuman_rh on 30x and 100x, honestly i can just see different on colour, nothing perceptible to me. I have watched it on monitor.
@@stevin2204 S23 Ultra has a noticeable amount of more detail
@@anonymoushuman_rh I cant say more detailed, becuz the noise is too much, also in S24 there are softening the image that will make less detail, S23 have that option too, if S23 do the smoothing, it will be the same, that why...
Got my s23ultra today as I got S23 u for cheaper and I don't see much difference so that's why I got s23U
Amazing content and video comprision as always bro
I just switched to the S24U from the S22U and i will say its definitely an upgrade!
Hey Saf, would you recommend the S24 ultra over the newest iphone for video/photo content. (mainly thinking about attachment lenses etc, filters etc.)
I'm not going to believe in 7 years upgrade until I'll see it. And I hope it won't lag as hell after 3-4.
@@richardsalaverria9363My S3 lags like hell and battery only lasts 20 minutes now!
im still using my s21 ultra what a beast still
s23 ultra is better
Why ?
Still gonna make the move from s23
@@djsthemetereman I haven't made a move yet but it seems to me s24 ultra is the phone to get , unless you have the s23 ultra already then the move doesn't make much sense
@@djsthemetereman what did you have before and what are you getting now?
@@nibzlegend99 The s23 ultra so honestly it just doesn't make sense it's essentially the same phone with a few upgrades
Do you have also graphic issues in the samsung weather app? Especially when it shows the weather in the night and you look closely while scrolling the display it shows kind of squares. Do you have the same thing? I think it's a software problem. Thank you very much. Greetings Mark
"Is it worth upgrading?, the short answer of course is NO".
IIII LOVED IT!!! THANK YOU
GREAT VIDEO
@SuperSaf can you do a comparison of s22 ultra and s24 ultra and should one upgrade to s24 ultra or hold on for the next ultra?
Why is there a ghost in the house?
Comparing both for BT music. S23 still sounds better than S24
Love from India ❤
I've had the S23 ultra for the past 1.5 years, the only downside at this point is the battery, cause i have to charge it twice a day. (6-7 hours onscreen video compared to 11 brand new).
Hmmm at first when i compared both, i found the s23 ultra to be more vibrant. But there was a hidden setting where you can adjust the color tone on the s24 ultra. It was set to on. As soon as i turned it off it became more vibrant. Grant you this was in store, still waiting on my s24 ultra to ship. Ill try it out at home!
What hidden setting?
@DJ118USMC it's not really hidden, it's in the display settings. Under color tone. The s23 ultra doesn't have it.
@sweedishpie360 I played around with it at the store and didn't find that? It sucks because I wanted this phone but because of the color dullness compared to my s22 ultra I don't want it
@@TheEternalEast was adjust color tone set to off in the settings?
@@sweedishpie360 yea it was off
I held on to the Note 10+ for over 4 years, until last Spring. I have a Pixel 7, but miss Samsung so much, I'll be going with an S23 Ultra, I always stay behind 1 generation. Hopefully, I'll purchase it second hand, watching my budget, and I'm sure there will be some good prices.
4y and am still with the Note 10+, and except for the little lag on opening some apps I am doing well with battery and cameras.... need to figure out the weight of the S23U and S24U at 232/234g.... thats a whoppping 14-15% increase in weight.... lets see what happens.
@@KamleshDesai I ended up purchasing the S24+.
@@KevinTspirit why?
Youd have to be out of your mind to upgrade from an s23 ultra to an s24 ultra. Its like an overall 2% increase in everything.
Not really. Deals and promos exist and someone could get a 2% increase for basically free. I can get a free upgrade rn because of my plan, it's a no brainer. It's a good idea to not be that narrow-minded.
@@azuraug8693 I buy my phones out of contract. I’m not narrow minded that’s offensive. I don’t get offended though so your good
One aspect missing from this video is.. Samsung is offering great discounts when upgrading from S23U to S24U. I want to understand if it is worth the upgrade when you consider those discounts? Spending $400-450 gives you the upgrade with trade-in.
$611 with my S23Ultra as trade in or $711 with my S22Ultra as a trade in. Where do you guys get such good deals? 🤔 This is tax and everything out the door...
S4 pluse still rocking it
S9😢 I'm looking forward to S24U
I can't wait for your S24 vs Iphone 15 Pro comparison
Iphone cash beat the s24
Watching proudly on the S22 ultra..
I've had the S23 Ultra about 10 months and still love it.
