Quick correction - Titanium is actually less heat conductive than the aluminium Samsung used to have! That's something I'll pay a particularly close eye on when It comes to testing thermal performance for our review 👌

Just want to add something I've noticed with my S24 ultra. It's that the keyboard recognizes what language i use for different chats. For example, i use Swedish with my dad, but English with my British friend, and it remembers the setting. It also has swipe typing, which used to be a separate app before.

I was really skeptical about how Samsung was gonna bring AI to the mainstream via the s24 but seems like they hit the spot and a lot of people will be taking note of it as a key feature in coming years!!
its basically a lot of Google Pixel AI features working "locally" device fast. + with some of their own features pixel will get too later on etc. then u have all your marketing bs. - the price will always the deal breaker for everyone interesting in it. & then we have to wait for the real comparison & tests

The visuals contradict some of the things you say (there's a clear difference in the 10x zoomed pictures you show for example), but overall you're not missing much!
Samsung's like the gatekeeper for phones released every year, they release an absolute powerhouse every January, and watch as everyone else plays catch up.

The flat screen is exactly what I've been wanting from Samsung. I've never had an iPhone but the fact that it has a flat screen was such a big win for them imo. I also prefer the rounded edges over the box look of the Galaxy's. How exciting.

Funny enough ... the curved screen is the exact reason i i would never get the s24 ultra ... i love samsung phones and the s23ultra is my current phone but i have gotten so used to curved screens in the last years that could never live with a flat screen again... if it stays flat in the 25 generation I'll have to switch from samsung for the first time unfortunately

Samsung sends test phones to creators earlier to get videos ready to get posted right after the unpacked event, its a way of marketing.
companies send them the device in advance for testing purpose. but they can't make a video about it before the launch because of embargo period
All big companies sends them their flagship phone a week before release and they record it and keep their video in private and as soon the event starts and introduce their flagship they release the video to public

Just got my dad a used S21, hes so happy with it, fast, nippy, great camera, as a Iphone 13 pro max user its a great value phone.
I've been looking for ways to progress my languages learning... this phone looks like a winner. Setting all incoming messages to another language would really help day to day learning.
I watched the keynote and was impressed with the AI and the phone, then watched MKBHD's impression and felt the phone has minor upgrades and then watched Arun's video to fully appreciate the phone, again! Amazing job Arun!

@@DragFlor idk, most on device AI stuff probably requires lots of hardware power. Plus often times its not that easy as it sounds to port software from one device to another

I love the fact that they have returned to flat screen, I like their keeping the design too. I often don't care about changing the looks just for the sake of a change.
Yeah been w Samsung since Note2 then Note5 which was the first curved screen for me and then 2yrs later the prettiest phone I have ever seen from Samsung came out, Note7 it was a thing of beauty and then Samsung asked for it back cause exploding batteries, I downgraded to Galaxy Edge7 a much smaller device, then upgrade till Note9 and been w it since... I will save money for a few months and idk might upgrade to this one if they offer good money for my old phone or just go and jump ship w the 15pro max or wait till the 16pro ultra or whatever they gonna call it and upgrade since I wanna try something new and integrated
Yeah I have a Iphone and just in general I dislike round screens a lot. Because Im a clumsy mf so I drop it often. But one thing that I dont like is me buying a screen protector and having to choose between: a nice looking round screen protector or a flat one that looks ugly and doesnt cover the whole glass but is like 10x stronger.
@juusokankaanpaa4062 man, that's me!!!!! I have an S23 Ultra, and I thought there wouldn't be a problem if I didn't use a screen protector. My phone fell off my pocket while dancing and now the screen is scratched and the curved zone is missing a glass piece.

@@elestudiodebuenavista628 I had the 23 Ultra for 2 months (preordered last year) and it was stolen right from my hand in Peru. I paid almost retail for a new 23 Ultra days later. (That hurt $$$$$). I'm still trading in my 23 Ultra for the 24 and the flat screen is a huge selling point for me. I couldn't find a true glass screen protector for the curved 23 ultra, dropped my phone one time in a parking lot, and put a big scratch on the screen.

Last week I pre ordered a Galaxy S24 Ultra with 1tb storage. I got a free Galaxy Watch6 40mm with it so I'm doubly excited. Its gonna be a big step up from my S10.

Im so glad we are back to flat screens, i have shatted four Note 20 Ultras (while they were in otterboxes) and never once did i break any of my flat screen phones.
The AI features are implemented so well and seamless. I actually love it that u don't need any specific apps. Huge props to samsung :)

heyjo, German here, the translation at 18:43 has at least three grammatical mistakes and sounds super weird, it feels like the idioms were translated word-by-word^^
Goes to show how difficult some phrases are to translate and how much you need to understand about someone's intentions behind a text to be able to properly translate it. Not yet the yellow from the egg, but the consistent drop carves out the stone (just to give you a rough idea of how the translation feels like, these were two german idioms that roughly translate to "it's nothing special yet, but it's gonna get there eventually")

The camera zooms "CAN BE" changed on the 23 ultra one just needs to use the zoom as a slider and not a button for selection.
And you can do it with 8k, or 4k 60/30fps too.
And if you want to compare the brightness of screens one needs to turn off "ADAPTIVE BRIGHTNESS" so that the screens will get to their brightness.
Please, please, please address these two things as they do make the phones much more similar than the comparison makes it out to be.

Yea but ProRes LOG makes anything "AI" meaningless because nothing can match properly recorded and color graded footage.
Sure it's not as "easy" or "fast" or "sexy" but the result are so worth it.
i always have fun when you and mkbhd make videos about the same things and i can compare and see the different approaches. Usually, it's pretty tied, but this time, I preferred this video to mkbhd's on the S24 lineup.
You seem more excited about it, you talk about the features in more detail and the video itself is snappier
I just got mine and I love it. My only issue is that flattening the screen made it slightly bigger, which means for smaller hands it's a little big with the case on. The 2nd issue is that I can't customize the navigation bar as much as I could the S22 Ultra & the lock screen clock and AOD clock are the same now, where as I was able to set different clock faces on the 22. Other than those I do love the upgrade.

I must say I love the every-fluid style of your presentation in every piece of content you ever post. I have been waiting for this phone to come out (pre-order) as I NEEDED to upgrade, Yeah, we all need to upgrade, but my S8 battery has finally gone kaput so I held off on the S23 Ultra. This review helped solidify a purchase despite the cost. Cheers my man. 😁

Pretty sure that most, if not all, of the A.I. features are the ones that were supposedly only for the Google Pixel Pros. Would definitely be great to see whether all of that works better on the Snapdragon compared to the Tensor.
And I suspect Google's partnership is because they'll start charging for the cloud AI at some point. So you're now going to be paying monthly for processing power
@@MuhammedChand I think the partnership was to get Samsung to build their chip so they had to give Samsung those AI features. It's barter. Ask for charging for it, I think they would probably have tiered levels. They'll get you addicted to the basic levels and then charge you for the rest.

Had my launch default Galaxy S10 for years, rocking 1TB micro sd now. It is keeping up with software updates in terms of apps, graphics are still good on games 2D/3D, have nearly 6 digits of tabs open on a browser abd not crash, the camera is gloriously bad but decent enough to be practical, with a funny Tough case from Redbubble, gel silicone screen protector, an aux port plug and a waterproof sticker of sorts for the speaker grill that somehow soynds still comes out nicely and no water gets in and a type-c plug to make the phone almpst completely water resistant at best. However, no more security based updates, relying on VPN will only get me do far. Was planning to upgrade S23 Ultra but S24 just came out better than ever, the transition to such a behemoth of a phone from default S10 to S24 Ultra will be truly an experience
I love they've got a flat screen now. Everything just works so much better.
