Welcome to the part 1 of the series!
There is so much more to explore with the S24 Ultra, so stay tuned for the next Epic video!
Is it worth it to buy the freewell case instead of using the software ND filter?
Please do the same series as you did with the s23 ultra. Youre the only channel we can get this from
The only guy I trust, really enjoyed this, thankss
Forget man, there is no comparison. The photos on the Samsungs are so bad compare to the mirrorless or reflex camera. There’s no way. Samsung pay to say so many lies, I don’t understand how you influenced so bad your followers
Use 2 finger on the Samsung to zoom in and is going to indicate which zoom you're using.
moral of the story learn to use pro mode :)
Yeah I do think so, if you want to get the max quality it is the way!
I bought the s24 plus not the ultra but I will definetely lear it even though it is not as porwerful as the ultra
@@nassimovic1111it's just as powerful, they have the same chips, the differences are the screen, material(titanium vs aluminum), and camera
@@Demyk7 (tbh I am in Europe so that is an exynos sadly )
@@Demyk7 They aren't, completely different photo sensors and optics, nearly equal to s22 and s23
Finally someone who actually used the cameras RAW features. Every comparison video I have watched so far uses the Auto camera and ends up saying that the 15PM or the Pro Camera is better. For a normal user maybe yes, but as a photographer I was literary waiting for someone to make a comparison using the PRO/RAW settings of the S24U. Very good work, I really enjoyed it. Keep it up and Good Luck.
LOL
Thanks for your support! 🙌🏼

I was waiting for your video...other youtubers do make videos about the camera quality...but they don't even show one raw photo...but you really push the camera to its full potential..great work keep going
Most of RUclipsrs do no shit
Thanks so much for watching!
Samsung flagships have pretty much achieved the pinnacle of smartphone technology and I'm so here for it!
The fact that there's phones out there with main sensors and lenses twice as expensive as the ones Samsung uses, with twice the area of such sensors, with a dedicated ISP just to handle the information coming from the sensors, and a more complete camera app, and there's people on the internet calling the S24 Ultra the pinnacle of smartphone technology on a video comparing it to a professional camera... Kinda proves to me why Samsung puts 200 MP tiny sensors on their phones while the professional cameras of today with sensors 20x larger and lenses way more capable won't reach more than 80MP, and that's a stretch. I'm convinced they could put a 500MP on their phones and people who buy them would think they got a phone much more capable than a professional camera...

I've bought recently S24 Ultra so I can't wait for more videos about this phone. I'm so glad I've found your channel! ^^
Thanks a lot! More to come!
The quality on the phone is incredibly impressive. Though there is still a difference to the professional set up. I could tell the difference in the blind raw test
This is the video I was waiting for. Thank you so much for your review/overview of the S24, Steven. Appreciate the time and effort you put into these videos - they're always fantastic.
Awesome! I tried to test as much as possible, but I have yet to show more of this phone especially in video department, already working on the next video!
And thank you for being here, your support goes a long way!
I don't know how to explain how satisfying this looks. There's something about the quality of your video that just feels really nice
This is what I've been waiting for! Thanks for this wonderful video Steven. I just got the S24 Ultra and I'm overwhelmed with the camera module.
Thank you! Hope you'll find some things in the video helpful.
Watching this video just showed me you have people who are just better than other people in certain field. This man pictures and videos are breathtaking
Just discovered your channel - I'm a photographer so appreciated this great look at the S24!
What a fantastic video Steven!I thoroughly enjoyed it! I would really like to see an in depth video of how to use Expert Raw/Pro mode on S24 Ultra as I am not very knowledgeable on all the little sections and terminology of photography and I would really like to understand better what is for what (ISO, Speed, WB, EV, etc, how to use each of it, whether to use ND filters or not - difference, and really use full potential of this extraordinary cameras on S24 Ultra rather than just auto mode.
I know I could do research and read about it, but would be nice to have it explained nicely in a video with examples. ❤
Nevertheless, great video and keep on going Steven.
There are hundreds if not thousands of youtube videos explaining ISO/shutter speed/aperture/white balance etc. These are fundamentals of photography and understanding them is in no way limited to smartphone vs. "real camera", or model.
Great video! Thanks!
Finally(!) someone who takes RAW photos and compares the capabilities of the phone. Many people don't even understand the potential of RAW. Perhaps, this is where phones have developed the most. I used to use a DSLR a long time ago. (Pentax K10D, with many high-quality lenses) But nowadays, almost only phones. (S22 Ultra)
The pen is a good option for editing, but I never use it. The phone display is great for checking photos and videos. One thing I miss about the phone is the viewfinder or EVF.
One more thing: Of course, the phone has a tiny CCD. But we get 4 fixed focus lenses!
Hey! Great videos you got here! Are you going to do a comparison between the iPhone 15 Pro Max and S24 Ultra? I'm very curious to see which one will win. It's great to see decent reviews of cell phones and what they are capable of in the right hands. I really appreciate that you treat smartphones like other cameras. I mean you use e.g. nd filters. Too many other (almost everyone...) content creators don't use filters when doing these reviews. And they do it just all wrong because of that. Subbed 👍
Man i love Prague what a beautiful city!
Thank you for answering the other video of the S23 Ultra. I am so happy to watch this video and learn how to master the skill and use my phone at its potential 🔥
Thank you! Hope it helps!
I'm waiting for your video like a week ago. I'm glad its uploaded now! Other reviews on camera comparison are "meh", no other youtuber can do an in depth review like you always do regardless of what phone it is. No bias!
Thank you so much, appreciate the support!
Excellent video, very professional.
Everything you'd want to know.
And of course the ability to ask some Questions.
Bravo young man.
Thank you very much for your video, great demonstration and explanation of the functionalities of these devices. I recently bought the Galaxy S24 ultra and would like to learn how to take professional photos. Congratulations!
I WAS WAITING FOR THIS VID TO DROPP. Yet another banger steven, keep up the good work
Appreciate your support! 👊🏼
Best content about photography with the phone. Love your picture, so good.
That 10x was very imp for me . I hope they bring it back on the s25u with the 5x
There are rumors that S25U would have come with variable zoom cameras
Two things you could try checking for Samsung- for video, turn on "High Bitrate" option in settings and also see if turning on Performance Mode does anything for the camera experience.
Great video btw, these cool ND filters are really tempting and I will surely get them soon.
Thanks! Will try and see how it goes 🫡
Thanks for this video @stevendivish . Informative as always! Could you pls. do an S24 Ultra and S23 Ultra camera comparison? Like you, I too am a photography buff and care about the camera features more than anything else. I ordered the top-of-the-line S24 Ultra config (despite it's lower optical zoom) and ended up returning it back promptly to Samsung due to the issues with the display, which have been widely reported and yet to be fixed. In my one or two days of having this phone, I very briefly tried the camera and just wasn't impressed with the quality. Of course, I didn't download the pics to a computer and check them out. Maybe they weren't very appealing when seen on the phone due to the issues with the display itself.
I am seriously considering buying an S23 Ultra instead, although it is now a generation older. Your comparison of these two, from a camera/photography standpoint would help! Again, thanks!
thank you so much best video explaining the potential and the quality level of that camera. I like and sub
Finally! I was waiting this video. I'm a fan from the Philippines. God bless you!🙏
Thanks! Hope you liked it!
Omg.. 👏👏👏 Excellent Excellent breakdown! You completely addressed every single aspect of the phones camera capabilities. You even broke down why things get grainy and how to avoid it. This is such a step up from the S20 Note Ultra, glad l waited.
I also agree that removing the 10x zoom was a mistake. I read that the software uses a lot of Ai to adjust for lost information. It still needs a lot of light. They upgraded the stabilization and size of the sensor, but it would be great if the sensors could be larger.
Thanks again for a comprehensive review!
Thanks a lot for watching!
I'm still sporting a galaxy s10 plus 1tb. My next phone will definitely be s24U 1tb as soon as the price drops to 1k or less.
Great video actually showing the camera off, although I disagree on some of the complaints such as showing the resolution and focal length. Sure it would be good for it to show, but its not exactly hard to remember what they are. Only gotta remember 4 focal lengths and just make sure you set the video to the right resolution
Hello from Prague, happy to see that you were in here making so great review. Hope that you have enjoied all classic czech meals and dont get robbed by taxi scammmers in here :) Wish all best in production.
Mahn... You have my heart . So genuine review.. I get wat I need from a camera review of the respective device.. hoping pixel 9 series will bring new level of photography and videography things.
Thanks a ton 😁
being a samsung fan and photography enthusiast. I appreciate the comparison and tutorials.you've shared. I think, there's a lot more that I didn't know above techniques and modes😊 very good review❤
My pleasure! Thank you so much for watching!
Much awaited...please also teach us on mobile photography with s24ultra
Thanks a million for the great video and covering all the details, after all is said and done do you consider the xiaomi 14 pro or ultra or s24 ultra to have the better camera and photography if its an important concept for us
Thanks for your kind help and effort to make us learn how we should use this fantastic camera of the s24ultra 🙏 ❤️ hope that samsung fixes asap these small issues you talked about.... I see many videos here on you tube... But yours are the most one's that are very informative that i like to watch soo muchhh.. ... Congrats
Thanks a lot! Really appreciate it!
hi steven. nice review. I would like to ask your opinion on the phone stabilization when using pro video mode. is it only me feel like the stabilization is quite off when shooting video in pro mode? tq
nice to see a reviewer actually mentioning ExpertRAW for once. Quick question, when you select 24MP in expert RAW do you find that only the 1x lens actually records in 24MP whilst the others switch to 12MP?
Holding with the 23U this year. Is there a video comparison for pro mode on pics and video between the 23U and 24U?
Great video, bro! Saw on another video that 24fps is available across all the video size options. Is that true?
you are using the main sensor in the first shot since you set 200mp first and it is cropped to 5x. great review, thanks!
I really love you content and was looking forward that you make such a crazy good content like you did with S23, thy for the first video
I bought my s23 ultra coz of this guy
Thank you! I really appreciate that!
😄
Love the in depth review of so many features that pretty much all reviewers gloss over. Also, there is supposed to be a camera/display/festures update coming later this month for the s24. Perhaps a follow up to see the difference?
What a great tuitorial! Best I've ever watched!
Great review, honesty, and informative up the great work 👍 .
Wow just Wow. You have earned my subscription for making this crucial comparison because, as a novice user of this phone, i would never have noticed the lack of details that you mentioned. Hopefully samsung makes a hugr update in the near future
Thanks for the sub mate! 🙌🏼
Hey man I just saw you on my feed and i kept watching you,and my s24 ultra is on the way as of now and if you have any kinda tips and tricks for how to use the camera (in expert raw and video modes) could you please make a detailed video ? It will be really appreciated, keep doing your work you are good at it 🙏🙏🙏
Hello Steven, do you think the Moment lens are a good product for photography?
really great comfy video. have a great year!
Hi Steven! May I know what is the app you're using to edit your raw photos on the S24U? The one shown from 6:23 - 6:32
Incredible video. I'm leaning towards getting this phone🔥📽🎞
This is just fantastic and exciting. I own an S23 Ultra and haven't even used all the features this phone has. What a waste of time. I can totally start learning the RAW side of this camera. I can't wait to purchase the S24. Awesome video. Question. What do you use for video editing? Thanks for your videos. Scribed.
Not sure if it's a bug in Expert Raw mode, but I found the following;
- Sometimes the preview image in no way matches the final output in terms of exposure.
- When importing the raw into Lightroom it is 4 stops under-exposed. I tried using and not-using the embedded profile.
finally someone talks about expert raw and 8k 5x video. please make a comparison on s23 ultra vs s24 ultra on expert raw only, day and night.
Did you do any color grading or corrections on the S24 video? Also would like to see some tests comparing 8k, 4k high bit rate mode, and ordinary 4k! Thanks!!!
ok ok ok I liked and subscribed... that was really smooth!
My s24 ultra comes today 😊
I love the Samsung galaxy range for photography, Note 2 was one of my all time favourites for photography, hopefully the s24 will keep me happy ... lol
Cheers for your great review video.
Kind regards Ben
Thank you and congrats! 🙌🏼
I'm by no means any kind of photographer. However I do enjoy taking good photos and occasionally videos of my watches for WatchCrunch and IG. I recently upgraded my Note9 to the S24 Ultra and it is incredible. One annoying thing is when it switches lenses while I am trying to get a really close shot. In your next video could you touch on that subject
Yeah I don’t like the auto lens switching either. iPhone is even more annoying with it. We need a setting that can overwrite that
Great video. If you press and hold on the zoom. It will give similar control to the iPhone.
I mainly use my phone to take zoomed in (10x) 4K videos in concerts, and I have tried S23 and it was very impressive. So is the S23 still better than the S24 in this scenario? Does the bigger sensor in S24 not make up the difference in the optical lens in your opinion? Thank you!
to check focal length you can take a picture using the lens you want, then going in the gallery you can see the details/properties of the photo and it will say how many mm the picture was taken in. on the s23u 0.6x is 13mm, 1x is 23mm, 3x is 69mm and 10x is 230mm.
I assume the s24u is pretty much the same except for the 5x which is not on the s23u and maybe the digital 10x zoom might be a different focal length.
great video!!
Yeah I know about the image properties info but on the s24u it just shows 115mm no matter what zoom I’ve used. That aside I still want to know the focal length while I’m taking a photo, so I can match it to another camera. Also if you want to edit the photos on a computer via Lightroom it will show some random focal length like 6.5mm or something similar, btw it’s the same case on the iPhone 15 PM, I’ve no idea why it’s this way to be honest.
Thank you so much for watching!
Amazing review of someone that does it for leaving and not like mediocre RUclipsrs for views 😅
Oh, I was waiting for this. Getting comfy to watch it.
Hope it was helpful! 😄
Well done. This is the content people need. How to actually get the most out of our Samsung Galaxy S23 and S24 camera using expert raw pro mode. (Iso, shutter speed...I need more of this, sir.)
Thank you! Glad if it was helpful 🫡
Could you please advise what the camera is like for taking moving objects? At the moment I have an S20 and the shutter speed is so slow, I either miss the shot I want, or the picture is blurred. Even the "pro" settings are poor.
Thank you.
Thanks for the great video! I bought the S24 Ultra last week. I noticed something from which I'm wondering if it's normal. When I open the camera app I can hear a slight hissing sound from the top of the screen. When I switch to the selfie camera the hiss is gone, so it is only there when using the cameras on the back of the phone.
Does yours do this too?
I seriously want to say thanks for making this video. I've downloaded it so I can access it at any time. ✌️
Thank you so much!
Good comparison. Can you do a review of the S24 ultra camera in most case scenarios? Indoors taking pics of friends and family and food. Low light performance. Almost all cameras look great in perfect lighting conditions. I want to see the low light.
What editing program do you use on the s24 ultra shown in the video? Idk if its just me but I'm quite dissapointed in the camera quality on mu 24 ultra.. always looks heavy processed and pixalated...
Lightroom app, probably
This is awsome Steven, as someone who uses Auto mode usually, I am thinking of learning the pro mode. Thanks!
Thank you! Hope the videos help!
@@stevendivish yeah a lot, looking forward to more videos
You did are good job and i shows that their still has to be done much before a mobile phones camera can match a real dslr that will still take a long time before that is gona happen . And you rigth in pro mode you can get much better rsults then in the auto mode . Thanks for this intressting review .
Bardzo profesjonalny opis możliwości aparatu w S24
nice one. was waiting for this !! cheers buddy
Thanks for watching! 🙌🏼
Very detailed, thank you
Quite a great video.
I have seen many examples from many people that there is a problem with the RAW files in the S24U and the raw files behave like compressed jpegs. I guess there was no such problem with your device.
However, I don't think it's right to compare smartphones with DSLRs, it's a very misleading comparison. Especially in scenes with high DR. Smartphones stack 3,6,9 frames in a single shot and get a wider DR this way. If you stack 3 frames with a DSLR and compare them, it's already a different universe. Also, I would have expected some detail and texture comparisons instead of showing the photos so superficially, so that we could see how disgusting the actual level of detail and texture is in photos that look quite nice on the tiny screen of the S24 Ultra. But it didn't happen - this video is more of a crowd-pleaser than a technical review. And it succeeds. Congratulations.
Please do a video on the built in nd filter vs the freewell nd filters.
Cheers
What software do you use for editing mobile photos?
@stevendivish - one thing that confuses me is what scenarios I should be using 12M, 50M or 200M - is there a basic benchmark starting point?
Your video & contain quality it’s really amazing
Take love From Bangladesh💖
What is the photo editor app used at 6:24? Is it built into the S24U or has to be downloaded?
Hi, which in your opinion is better for videos, iphone 15 PM or s 24 ultra. Pls take into account the ease of using both phones as i have 15 pro max but apple becomes pretty difficult to use many a times due to less multitasking
15 pro max
I got s-24 ultra a week ago in Canada. Bought it due to a trade-in policy with s22 and zero interest per month. Can you make a video like s23ultra with Freewell lenses and filters and how to set up this with Pro video and Filmic Pro? I like your reviews, because you explain in a simple way and easy to understand for the viewers like us
Hi, Steven, how are you?
Cool camera comparison👍
Im getting a new phone and i am not sure which one to get.
The display and camera are the number one priority together with design.
The ultras camera looks fantastic! However the phone itself might be way to big and clunky when using a case, i mean even without the case its huge and heavy.
So my question is: Will the S24+ still make great pictures and videos like the Ultra?
Im mostly interested in portraits and videos(like the ones you took with the nd filter).
Not having the 5x zoom and the 200mp main camera on paper looks like a huge difference. How is that in real life?
Would you consider 5x portraits vastly superior over 3x portraits ? I know it depends on the picture youre trying to take, but maybe you have a preference or a tip.
Will the 200mp/50mp main camera effect the quality of a 3x portrait shot or are the 3x shots identical on both devices?
How about videos, does the 200mp make a huge difference?
is there a native app for raw editing? or are you using lightroom or something
Thanks for the detailed video, much appreciated. What is the app used at 4:05?
Thanks for watching! its lightroom mobile, I have a tutorial on that featuring samsung Galaxy, make sure to check out "Samsung Galaxy Playlist" on my channel
Thank you so much for teaching this very helpful
Thanks for watching!
So that S23 Ultra case you have linked in your amazon link, will it work with the s24 Ultra?
The video I was waiting for!😎👌🏻
Thank you so much! Glad to see you back!
Pretty amazing results!
Love this video❤
I guess you wont really use the auto mode on s24 ultra but it is HORRIBLE. The post processing of the photo taken in auto mode is very bad. Sometimes I like to use auto mode to take a picture of something real quick. I wonder what your thought is on the auto mode on s24 ultra?
I do lots of amateur Architecture Photography. One think i note on the 24 Ultra is a rudimentary from of ( Post ) Tilted shift correction NICE but the image still distorted (building appears compressed / shorter) Is their Samsung picture software to modify image so buildings do not look like they are falling over!
Great video as usual..I noticed that my pictures on s24 ultra are blury around the edges which is not the case on my note 9...is it normal ? Is there a way to fix it?
Steveni have question for u , what camera did u use to film this video, if u don't mind sharing
Hello my friend Steve, 😉 Phone cameras have developed excellently in recent years, especially the emergence of artificial intelligence, which has revolutionized in recent years, but as professionals we still need professional cameras, especially in poor lighting conditions.
Greetings, your follower from 🇮🇶 Iraq, videos with an important reference, and I always follow you ❤️
Hello! I absolutely agree with you! I just love an idea of having a super versatile yet compact camera on the go, but optics limitations are still there, so some things are always going to be more superior on the Full Frame cameras I agree.
And thank you so much for being here! See you in the next video!
Nice to see Prague here! :-) I was confused ... wait, is he really in Prague? :-) You caught very nice light and beautiful colors. I am also Sony fan, but sometimes missing Canon colors.
steven i have faith in you bro lol did i made a mistake swapped from iphone 15 pro max to the s24 ultra im getting it next week nice work as always
Excellent video as always. Keep it up bro
Thanks a lot!
Please make a comparison between pro mode and expert raw mode.
Expert raw uses exposure bracketing by default it seems. That's why you can see some processing in the pictures. But the pro mode gives actual raw shots.
However, expert raw is a bit confusing. Even after turning the auto hdr option off, it seems that it still does some bracketing. But the confusing bit is they offer a exposure bracketing mode too and the results from this mode are much less processed than the normal shots in expert raw with auto hdr off.
What's the settings for recording an indoor concert? It includes zoom, lights and motion challenges. Thanks.
