  • Today's video I want to share with you the very real dangers of smoking weed everyday.
I will use scientific case studies with thorough research to prove these are real dangers and not my opinion regarding the matter.
Now if you smoke once a week, chances are this doesn't really apply to you. This is for those heavy smokers like myself who were smoking ounces a week and putting themselves in serious harm.
    1. During the first hour of smoking you have an increased chance of heart attack. Most people who have been heavy smokers have had a heart palpitations before.
The case study from Harvard university discovered those with heart conditions absolutely should not smoke. I personally lost a friend because of this exact reason.
    2. Increased chance for lung cancer. The hot smoke from a roach is like inhaling an ember. It's much hotter smoke than that of a cigarette. It's not the pot that gets you, it's the combustion. As found in the case study, weed smokers have an increased probability of lung cancer when heavily consumed for years on end.
Hot smoke is responsible for causing your cells to mutate and turn cancerous. It might not happen for years but increasing the risk by smoking and inhaling hot smoke is a real danger.
    3. Not growing as a person while smoking. This case study which we go over has a lot to say. Those who smoke cannot process emotion the same as those who don't. You literally focus more on negative emotions and cant perceive positive emotions as well.
If you're look for motivation to quit smoking weed than this should be it. Take care of your health. You have family or friends who care about you. I care about you.
Thank you for taking the time to watch my video. Feel free to leave a comment if you have any questions. Smash that like button if you enjoyed the video. It helps to motivate me and keep me working hard!

I love these videos. Super helpful! I’m on day 2. I didn’t know there were so many negatives from smoking weed so much.

Finally I’ve been looking for research I can trust about this topic but would always find overlapping facts/errors thanks for making this research more accessible and easy to understand

Hopefully this has been of use to you, now you've found some research worth noting! Everybody who says weed isn't harmful, well in small doses definitely not but everyday, every hour for years can eventually cause some serious harm. Or to those with heart conditions. It's the worlds greatest poison because nobody knows it and with enough usage there are serious side effects which haven't been fully studied.
I appreciate the comment Wesley. Means a lot to have positive comments because there's so much hate out there and this is not a usual channel. It goes against the grain and what people believe about weed but it's the truth for those who can't moderate it. Thank you for being here!

Amen to that! And I'm not even religious lol. How's it going man! Update me, did you get the 5 hours of coding done? If not it's ok you're still killing it by doing a solid four hours. Although you can hit 6-8 hours in day, I know you can. Just remember where you came from, from before wanting to and know actually doing it. Quitting was the deciding factor my friend :)

Remember kids: pot ain't the problem, the smoking part is (for like 90% of it anyway). The racing heartbeat is an anxiety reaction. Cannabis can trigger that even in people without anxiety issues... but, anecdotally, it seems that strains with lower THC, but significantly higher CBD ratios diminish that risk quite a bit. Makes sense if you look at what we know these substances do. And kids... never over-do any drug or any substance. Hell, don't even go on an all-red-meat diet for a month to see what happens: it's probably not a healthy idea even though you'll probably live.

I honestly believe I would quit making videos if the support wasn't so positive. I'm truly thankful it is because criticism for putting yourself out there really hurts. You guys have been so nice and inviting, I'm truly very appreciative for that. Thank you again Mark. :)

Do you think it's a good idea to post the entire video's topics in the description? I thought people would appreciate that but I was also worried some might read it and then not watch the video till the end because it's the longer view duration which really helps the channel grow. Regardless I'm happy you like the descriptions and thank you for being here. We're on this journey together!

I have been worried about my lung health but have not seen any real signs. I like the point you brought up about heart palpitations, I am a runner and it has surprised me that occasionally when I am at a high level I find it harder to control my breathing and heart rate consistency. It has sometimes just made me more concerned about my cardiovascular health. I have been toking about 3 years now with fluctuations, but today I usually only toke between .5-2 grams about every other day though and have let off of wax for a while. This video helps me feel more positive about my situation and reminding me to continue taking t breaks and monitor consumption to never require so much. Although even with lower use I am afraid, along with long term health effects, of the trapping effect it has on my drive sometimes where I feel unproductive/unmotivated towards my goals in life. Over all I will try to be cautious towards its effects and take note of my observations to prevent leaning into it too much. lmk ur thoughts I bc I still enjoy the substance and oddly have never had a lasting cough due to it.

Lol well I live in Canada but when ever it does get hot outside , we only go for walks early morning or late evening when its cooler. Love your content. Super relatable. Does doing edibles have all of the same negative effects as smoking? Especially affecting REM sleep?

    • @BetterYouNow
      @BetterYouNow  Год назад

Yes! Actually probably even worse since the absorption rate of THC is much higher levels when edibles than smoking.

Sometimes the best way to improve our life is to stop focusing on what more we can do, and instead focus on what we can subtract. If quitting is too hard, what other bad habits can we eliminate that are easier.
For example, you drink soda everyday and smoke. Quitting smoking is too difficult, so you quit soda and drink more water. Water gives you more mental clarity, your skin clears up and now you feel more confident, proud you made a positive change by eliminating a simple bad habit. The more simple bad habits you eliminate the easier it is to eliminate bigger bad habits.
However, if you can leave your environment which causes you to smoke, that's the best route to go. There's a saying, "You cannot heal in the same environment that made you sick". So try to leave everything and anyone who promotes smoking in your life. If that's not possible, focus on little bad habits to eliminate and that will improve your life and get you in the right direction till you have the mental stability to quit.
So focus on using less social media, less internet, less sugar, less of everything that gives you a dopamine rush. Hope this helps!

Yeah, somebody I personally knew too. He was an 18 yr old who had a heart condition, ate a brownie and had a heart attack and died. I think back to him randomly sometimes now 6 years later. I researched plenty, found several studies proving weed is bad for the heart and can cause heart conditions, or worsen pre-existing heart conditions like my friend.
