Why I Stopped Smoking Weed

  • In today's video I want to share with you why I stopped smoking weed. It was not an easy battle but today I am sober and will never go back to weed.
Quitting weed is one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. It's so subtle and not a threat in the moment, so it's difficult to view as an enemy and often you're left questioning yourself like, "Why am I quitting weed?"
The thing is over time with daily prolonged usage it starts to eat at your true full potential. You become less productive, start to disconnect with reality and only care about yourself and having weed.
When I was addicted to weed I was an asshole. A selfish person who didn't care about other people, I was a fiend who was obsessed with having enough bud to make to through the week.
I quit weed for so many reasons but the main reason was to have my life back and not live like a slave to my mental addiction. Yes, it's an addiction. Not for all people but it's been proven 9% of pot smokers become very addicted without realizing it.
There's ways to tell if you're addicted to weed, do you get anxious when you run low or don't have any? Do you spend more money than you should to support the habit? What about lying to friends or family to make time to smoke on a daily/weekly basis?
If more than two of those questions are applicable to you than it's definitely time to stop smoking weed because you're suffering from weed addiction without knowing it.
For me, I was a massive addict for 8 years and literally accomplished hardly anything because all I cared about was being stoned. When I would try to quit I would have weed withdrawals and couldn't eat so I would give up and fall back into my old habits.
Sometimes the hardest adversities in life are a test so we can grow stronger and become the people we were meant to be. There's so many benefits of quitting weed like being more productive, having better relationships, enjoying the moment instead of thinking of the next high.
If you can moderate your smoking than quitting cannabis isn't really an issue because you have self control like how I do with alcohol. I quit weed because I couldn't moderate and it became an obsession.
Watch the video to the end if you want a complete break down of how to stop smoking weed and overcome weed addiction.
Thank you so much for taking the time to watch my video. If you liked it than smash the like button and subscribe to the channel if you haven't already. Thanks so much!

I have just watched 2 of your videos and I have to say, thank you for sharing. It's so nice to see your progress and how many people you gave hope and strength. You definitely motivated me. 😊 I am stepping into my new chapter in 2 months, where I am moving to a different part of the world, again... but this time the story is completely different and I finally feel like I am doing things for myself and like this is my way out, my way to become who I really want to be. I have been smoking weed for (omg, still thinking after 30 sec) 13 years now, every single day. As you described it, except the part that I was smoking joints, haha. Anyways, I need to get my shit together ❤️ like you did. So thank you for sharing, it means a lot. I am reading at the moment Atomic Habits and The power of positive thinking, and from always I am extremely interested in the mind and how it works, so I am doing my medication practice, writing a journal, becoming more and more self aware and that is the I guess point for me. To get to know myself better and to be truly happy. Hopefully I will inspire more people with my stories as you do. Respect. ✌️

Positivity is a state a mind. That doesn't mean I'm happy all the time. I am MUCH happier now and stable. Some days I wake up in the morning grumpy though. My happiness now depends on food and exercise. If my stomach is full I'm happy! After I go running everyday and exercise with heavy weights I'm happy! I feel that's what really gets endorphins running in your system so you feel better my friend.
Also, I moved away and have zero possibility of getting weed where I live. If I was still living somewhere which had weed accessible I'm 100% positive I wouldn't feel as good as I do, because then it would be a daily mental battle of should smoke or not. Now I'm far away from where I've ever lived so it's like, out of sight out of mind.
Keep in mind, I saved up for eight months and planned to move away because I just wasn't able to quit on my own. I had dealers numbers memorized and couldn't break free for eight years, so I had to take drastic measures to get my life back in control. So glad I moved away though. I would recommend that if you can't escape it in your environment my friend.

Thanks brotha I appreciate the kind words. You got this man! Sometimes it takes the extreme to be able to quit, like me moving. If you can change your environment! Break the bong, trash the weed, delete numbers of everybody you know who smokes and block them on Facebook.
"Your desire to remain who you are limits you". That's a quote I love because it means holding on to our identity and habits won't let us grow, to change we have to give up our identity and who we are. Scary thought but it's worth it to live a better life my friend.
Also, watch my video about weed withdrawals for help quitting my friend :)

@@semangathilang1620 bro im currently almost 10 months sober aprx 2 weeks until im there, and let me tell u I experienced withdrawls all the way up until 6 months and i started to feel really good after 8 months sober. Now i truly feel amazing. No more social anxiety nomore inner thoughts no more un confidance. It took a while but it was well worth it. Yesterday i was in this new internship for school. And i had no nervousness to speak to different people and expressing myself. I can truly say my confidance is back! So the truly best thing we can say is give it time! But its well worth it. Mind you i was having soci a's l anxiety even at 5 months. So it differs from ppl to ppl. But when ur brain gets use to the fact weed isnt in ur life again. Truly smazing things will happen. But u truly have to gp through the process and battle it out. But let me tell you, once your 7 months sober. Ur going to feel untop of the world!! Dont stop.. getting control of ur life back is priceless.
