My Back Story With Weed:
For eight years, from 2010-2017, I smoked almost every day. Although many people smoke every day, I did it in a way that avoided emotions and responsibilities that I (1) didn't want to deal with and (2) didn't know how to deal with.
As such, my life down spiraled in many ways. Simply put, smoking weed was my entire purpose and the only thing that made me feel good.
Without any goals and aspirations, or rather, without pursuing and achieving goals and aspirations, my life became empty. In the hopes of creating a better life, I felt that quitting pot for life was the only solution. It was a do or die type mentality.
From 2011-2017, I was frustrated with my inability to stay committed and quit weed.
Here's the key, I was focused on the wrong thing. Rather than focusing on the actions it takes to achieve my goals, I focused on actions that it took to not smoke weed. Achieving our goals has nothing to do with smoking or not smoking, it has to do with doing the things one must do in order to achieve one's goals.
That also includes the way one smokes weed. But it's only part of the picture.
Thus, I stopped trying to quit, because ultimately I LOVE weed and the benefits it can have for people.
What I also stopped doing was smoking in a way that hurt me and took me away from my goals.
Now a days, I focus primarily on the creation of my goals and dreams. I align all my actions and lifestyle with this primary goal. This includes aligning the way I use pot to serve my purpose.
I no longer smoke everyday. I no longer smoke every week. Currently, I only smoke when I've achieved certain goals. Cause goals are more important than being high.
What works for me is this: Being high is only allowed when the goals are being achieved. Otherwise, being high is a waste of time, energy, and ultimately not empowering on a daily basis.
I get what I truly want now. I achieve the goals and I still enjoy the beauty of marijuana when it fits in my life! Развлечения

The biggest plot twist
I’ve been smoking weed pretty much everyday since the pandemic started. It started off pretty light, but gradually grew to smoking multiple times a day every day. I’ve spent waaaaay too much money on weed and I’ll be constantly thinking about the next time I smoke. My goal here is to make it 3 weeks without any weed before I even attempt to smoke again.
How has it been going? I’m having a hard time finding people wanting to
Quit for a month or two but then to learn to use it in moderation. I don’t want to quit forever, I don’t think marijuana is bad if not abused, but all I do is abuse it. Is it possible to have the will power to only smoke on Friday nights after smoking all day every day for 10+ years? I cried today realizing the problem I have, I’m tired of this substance controlling me.
@@jonathongutierrez1667 It is 100% possible, although it all comes down to you. You are going to have to make that effort to resist smoking, no one will be able to do that for you. If you have a goal and a plan to achieve it, all you need is execution. When is the best time to execute? Right now. Forget about “the perfect time to stop”, that time won’t come. You got this, time to make a difference Jon🙌🏽
I just love smoking weed and edibles everyday at different times depending on the day but it's an expensive fkn habit tho.

I did that! totally worth it, I'm about to take another break after tomorrow, breaks are even better than the weed
I’ve started smoking during nights only. It’s way better and useful during nights. I get to feel the high more and I enjoy myself before bed. I don’t crave for weed anymore during the day and I get really excited to smoke at night 😆. Feels real good mayne. Everyone should try it.

I on the contrary, when started smoking weed, I started eating only healthy food and doing sports. It's completely changed my life, and it's changed for the better. I've realized that smoking weed affects differently on people. So it's just up to you!
true but its not good to be high af all the time.
not sure if it's a good thing or a bad thing to be smoking before working out, but I notice a significant increase as well. I also notice a significant increase in the DESIRE to live a healthy life. I "relapsed" on weed last night, and I'm happy about it. Not gonna lie, I may decide that was not the right move, but I needed to chill out so I didn't give into some other addictions I have going on. I get very hyper at times, and weed does in fact help me calm down. So idk, i think moderation would be perfect for me if possible. i would love to chat with you, and see where you're at with this journey. It's nice to see someone who wasn't effected as negatively with this plant. For me the problem was more so just how much I was consuming. Is it the same for you?
@Carter’s Planet This plant opened my eyes on many things. On good and bad ones. Be very aware of yourself, while you're high. Watch out for your thoughts. THC is light psychodelic and may bring you to chaos/madness or to God. Unfortunately to me, I met chaos/madness first and it was horrible experience. It's better to be murdered, than experience it. But I managed to survive it, then I've come to to Jesus Christ, he is the only savior to our poor souls. For my opinion, if you want to smoke, you have to be very aware of yourself. You can realise many true things about what's going on in this world, but at the same time it might be very dangerous and will lead you to death, particulary to spiritual one (which is worse). I'm not telling that the plant is evil, no. It 's up to you and your awareness of what you're doing and who you are. I'm still doing my best at eating good food and doing work out. Though I smoke much rarer than then. God bless you!
@@bsvd9876 Man I’m very pleased to hear that you are also a person of faith. I have experienced spiritual death as well and yes…I would’ve rather been dead. That is true. The question must be raised then “why do I want to go back?”. I have been hearing God tell me that he put this plant on earth for people like me, I guess. I’m very hyper active, and it DOES help me workout, and unwind when I do not have that ability. I’ll be praying for you brother, I only want what God wants for me at this point in time. I can’t help but to see the good that this plant did cause when I was using it wisely. Thanks for your response, it means a lot. Gives me hope to see a fellow brother in Christ that feel the same way. Much love man. :)
same it was like that for me too i was able to quit vaping nic and im quitting PMO and it really helps me bulk
I really want to get to a point where I’m smoking no more than 1-2 times a weeks. I was a heavy daily smoker and I’m currently detoxing myself so I can teach myself how to smoke in moderation. It’s going to be a challenge but once I can get to that point I know I’ll have regained control and a substance is no longer consuming me instead!
i’m trying to do the same thing. i believe i’m going to try to stay sober throughout the week and smoke 2 times on the weekends, at night. i agree that it’s a challenge because i’ve been trying to take 3-4 day breaks and i have bad headaches throughout the day. i never have headaches but, i’m having them because i’m dependent on the weed. i enjoy getting high but i just need to not be dependent on it.
@@michaeljohnson2347 same for me. Making the realization for me that weed was taking over my life was the wake up call I needed. I knew it was a problem when i would face a whole blunt I would get a buzz or “half high” I like to call it, that would have usually get me stoned off half a blunt

people dont realize everyones different when it comes to weed. Personally ive tried to smoke weed everyday for the past 2 or 3 years and I feel like it set me back so far. My life revolved around trying to get high everyday instead of trying to improve myself and look towards the future. Currently a week sober and trying to go a month before I smoke again. I wanna know if you still take part in smoking sometimes and if you do, how many times do you think you smoke in a month or a week. truly can say ill never go back to those habits because now I just want to be the best version of myself. But damn I want to be able to enjoy a joint or edible when I want to even after a long term life change. I don’t want to feel like a piece of shit for getting stoned on a Friday night after a long week you know?
@@jonathongutierrez1667 brother you’re doing great if thats your issue ! its never bad to treat yourself once in a while…especially after a long week of school, work, etc. its just when you are smoking multiple times a day and thats the only thing on your mind it gets bad. weed in moderation is definitely ok, don’t put yourself down if you end up using.
Smoke only.on weekend nights
great content. this was spot on.
For me doing things like going to school, eating, being social, exercise, etc. feels difficult and pointless and when I smoke weed it's awesome. I could take a bunch of antidepressants, which barely even work, or I can just smoke some leaves and be happy with my life. What's the point of a healthy heart and lungs if I'm constantly wishing that when I sleep I won't wake up. There are pros and cons to everything so I choose weed.
Eventually it doesn’t make everything so amazing. Eventually it does damn near nothing but make you satisfied for a few minutes since you got your dose in as usual, like a damn crackhead. No weed or Weed with moderation alongside therapy, eating healthy, and exercise, plus other anxiety/depression tackling methods such as yoga are how you beat depression and feeling that way. What you are doing now is just going to put you in a hole. Been there. Not worth it. Look at the bigger picture

focus on keeping your endocannabinoid (ECS) system healthy, through cold showers, exercise, diet and mentality. What that looks like is; even if smoking once or twice a day over a period of time, if you quit for 2 weeks, you will experience 0 withdrawal symptoms and no appetite/insomina, as ur ECS is healthy and flexible. The best way to put your ECS out of whack, is to wake and bake, smoke unnecessary amounts and or Re-Up more than 4 times. Cannabis is a tool.

It's great to see a video on the positive effects of moderation rather than abstinance. Weed has been an important part of my life since I was 16 (8 years) and I believe it to be good for the mind. That being said, it sucks away my energy and I end up not doing anything, not seeing people, not pushing myself in my studies, just doing the minimum to get by. Last year I quit for 7 months and it felt great... for a while. But after about 4 months I started to get some really bad anxiety/depression, it sucked , I had councelling, I was calling my parents really often, bit of a mess. Low and behold as soon as I started smoking weed again this all DISAPPEARED, this was the point I realized that I need weed in my life. But then, low and behold, I have been smoking all day every day ever since. I've tried 'daily' moderation where I leave my weed at home and try to have a productive day, but this doesn't really work. Either I end up not doing any work and coming home early to smoke, or I bring my weed and smoke all day and end up not doing any work.
I hit a bit of a rock bottom yesterday, and I was talking to my friend. He told me to throw the remainder of my weed in the bin as an act of symbolism. And i've tried that before - it certainly works. But I don't want to quit ... I want weed in my life, but in a functional way!
So, what I did was I gave him my weed, grinder and skins, and told him that I could grab it at the earliest next weekend (7 days). If I feel like it I'm going to smoke, and then give him it back again, and repeat. Feeling pretty good about this.
Sorry for the rant, I related a lot to this video and felt like I had to let out some steam. Heres to moderation!
Hey! Loved all that you shared.
It can feel quite confusing when weed is helpful for you at times, and other times not.
And so it's not like you want to quit, cause you wanna use cannabis for the times it truly helps. And I honor that it does truly help! Cannabis is the bizzomb when its helpful!
And conversely, to also accept that in some ways, using it everyday, or being dependent on it (that feeling of needing it, and not feeling good not having the option), can turn into non-positive results.
This is a very common predicament weed lovers find themselves in. One I had to maze-run my way through. Just like you! :)
Im confident youll figure out what works best for you. Cause thats what cannabis is teaching you right now. Learning how to find a way to use her (cannabis) in a way that serves you (and those around you) in the best way possible.
Such that you can enjoy her fruits, and also be the best you possible.
If you haven't already, check out my book on either amazon or my website.
Its only $5 on my website as opposed to $7 on amazon.
The book is tailored for people who want to feel empowered over their pot use. I'm hoping it'll give you a sense of full self-control over pot (and your entire life even!)
The main hurdle to jump is the feeling of NEEDING to smoke. Said another way, reprogramming your mind, body, feelings, and soul to function fully like before the first time you ever smoked.
Cause there was once a time, before 16 years old, where you and cannabis did not have a relationship! And so you never called for it, and it never called for you. And you were just fine!
This is really no different than a relationship to another human being, or our favorite tv show or food meal.
Right now, your goal sounds like to learn to co-exist with weed in your life.
So, kinda like how most people know when they're too drunk to drive, or know their limits rather, you just need to honor your limits with weed.
And just be real about it. You sound like a smart cookie, so I trust you're keen on when you're using weed in times when it's really helpful, versus times when youre just kinda copping out when you know you dont HAVE to use it.
AND maybe theres a certain stressor or trigger that is behind your feeling of always kinda wanting weed "just in case." You didn't say that technically, but the path you're on right now is one I've helped others (including myself) navigate, so I'm assuming a little bit here.
Either way, sorry for MY vamping haha just had to share what I'm hoping will support you!
P.s. if youre intrigued about the book, but not sure of my intent, email me and ill send ya a copy for free :) its not about the money. Its about your freedom and happiness.

Should I just be waiting for withdrawals to pass and if so how long is that usually
The hard part for me is, I still get a lot done. I keep my home clean, keep my pets taken care of, work, make sure my boyfriend has everything he needs. I study personal topics, probably more so since I get those stoner thoughts. I do everything I need to do including working out and eating healthy, and don't really have any problems with money and affording more weed.

Hey ..once a week sunday is the only day God rested
Well Guess what we are not God we are weak humans and need to ease are minds
How do you handle stress and times of depression?
Great question.
Through trial and error ive learned other ways to handle stress and hard times.
Understand that only you can define what works best for you.
And if you want to know my personal processes, I do some of the following:
-exercise at least 2-3 times a week
-practice meditative breathing
-honoring when my body and mind need rest
-learning to be okay with the feeling of stress, and taking action anyways
-(big one) having a solid support system of people who I can lean on if ever I feel weak or too stressed
What has empowered me most is being mindful to the fact that the feeling of stress is just a feeling, and I know it's my job to handle that stress.
Nobody else is responsible for how I feel in any moment.
So if I'm stressed, I need to go take a breather or just be okay with the feeling.
Hope this helps!

boy you off yo ass right now 😂 even tho im 5 years late
I've been smoking for like 2 months now and I smoke everyday but only at 4:20 pm 1 gram is it good ? I'm 16 year old
did u lose weight bc i did alot and i dont know if its normal..
See I smoke everyday but I’m fine. I never come to work high, I come to school high like once a week. I don’t feel slow but when I wanna smoke I get pissed but it goes away lmao.
Yeah buddy, it's not like we all started like that and we all thought it was fine until we noticed that after years, life was slipping from our hands.
get over it, smoking weed everyday IS a problem. Exact same as drinking alcohol during daytime
AK Hobbies how old are u bro i’m 16 & been smoking for about a year, i’m trying to quit this shit changes your life & gives you a completely different mindset.
@@purl5361 I'm 17 years old and feel like I NEED it to sleep Also lost motivation . I've only been smoking on the weekends now.
💜Beautiful A+!‼️🔆❗️
Hey Gabriel, thank you for making this, what made you quit? Was it deep underlying issues that needed addressing, or was it because of the amount you consumed?
Does your mind still revolve around by looking forward to the next time you smoke? Or is your mind on productivity the majority of the time, and in this case, when does your mind think of smoking? When/how does smoking pop up in your mind, allowing you to be happy and doing it in complete control? Does it still control your thoughts or are you in control?
Thanks man, i have quit weed and i am 7 days in, though i am thinking of moderation before i stick to just quitting for good.
1) "what made you quit?"
If by "quit" you mean no longer smoke cannabis, that's actually not true. I still smoke weed, but it's not every day and it's no longer the center of my life. If you're wondering why I made that change, I'll address it in the next question.
2) "Was it deep underlying issues that needed addressing, or was it because of the amount you consumed?"
More so the "deep underlying issues" aspect than the amount consumed. Said another way, the deep issues were the root cause, the amount I smoked, and the frequency I smoked, was just an effect of the root cause (deeper issues).
3) "Does your mind still revolve around by looking forward to the next time you smoke? Or is your mind on productivity the majority of the time, and in this case, when does your mind think of smoking?"
I really love this question, first off.
What drives me in life is no longer the desire to get stoned. What drives me in life is the desire to grow and create a life that I love.
My mind usually thinks of smoking after sustained periods of hard work and accomplishment. Lately, the pattern has been smoking weed every two weeks or so, upon returning from a physically/emotionally/spiritually exhausting trip (22 mile hikes, rock climbing trips, coaching 10 clients in a week, etc.)
4) "When/how does smoking pop up in your mind, allowing you to be happy and doing it in complete control?"
I typically choose beforehand when and why I want to smoke, as well as when and why I don't want to smoke. What's key is that I STICK to those choices.
For example: Let's say I have a weekend trip in Arizona that's coming up. Prior to the trip, I reflect on if I do or don't want to smoke weed. There are many factors that go into my decision. Things like who will be there, what level of energy do I want to have on the trip, how will I feel about myself if I do or don't smoke, etc.
Once I survey the situation, I make a decision. Once that decision is made, it's all about having integrity and sticking to it.
For example, if I decide I am NOT going to smoke, I am prepared for the many situations that I may face in order to keep those plans in order. As in, I'll be prepared to say no to any offers from other people to smoke. I will be prepared to shut down any inner thoughts I have about wanting to smoke.
What I've learned is that sticking to the plan is what keeps me grounded and happy.
5) "Does it still control your thoughts or are you in control?"
I am in control. I still have thoughts of wanting to smoke on days when I've decided not to, but I am in control of my actions despite any thoughts. And, in comparison to when I was smoking every day, the desire to smoke comes up maybe once a week, and even then I usually don't do anything about it.
I am clear that I am the one in control of my life and what I do. Meaning, even if I have thoughts of wanting to smoke, it is on me to not do that if that's what would be best for me and others.
Vice versa, if I decide to smoke, it is on me to do that and let it be healthy and responsible.
Thank you so much for taking your time to type that up! I am 9 Days in now and having no cravings. I feel once it gets legalized in October 17th (Canada), i may then try it again, but i want to make sure i am doing the best for myself and not spiral back down the rabbit hole. Climbing out of the hole was hard in the first place, i am proud of myself for doing it, but i dont want to go back there if all i will do is bring back misery. I love weed and i hope one day i will be able to do it once every 2 weeks or more!
Yes, bravo on making it out of the rabbit hole. Much growth and healing to you!
Rad video dude
Shadi S hows it going now ?
hey dude , see this is a kinda old video , but bascally have a simple question . So ive been a daily smoker for years and we all know the bad to that so ive stopped for like 23 days now of not smoking , very tempted to have a bong at the moment , so i just like to know if i had to smoke just one bong how likely would i fall back into my old routine ?
It depends. It really does.
You could be part of two main camps:
Camp 1 = smokes once
Camp 2 = goes back to old habits
You get to decide which one. Just be clear that whatever camp you end up in, it is your responsibility.
@@GabrielSantos_28 Thanks for your response, I decided I'm going to wait until day 30 and stick to my original plan of once a month, I mean I don't see why completly take something enjoyable out of life because of self control
Once I started smoking weed all day everyday, my tolerance got so high. How do get my old highs back. I miss them. Kinda makes smoking weed a waste of money now because my highs only last 10 minutes.
Two week break and youll be getting the old highs again
Nice room
=)))))))))))) If you know what to do and you are doing it, then u are good!
Just do what u gotta do work during the day then once in a while during evenings u can do it
OK this guy was clearly doing Indica
@@pwhittyp5365 It really depends on the person and the strain. I've had supposed indicas that picked me up all day, and sativas that couch locked me. If you manage to find a strain that works for you and your physiology, there can absolutely be a difference.
I tried to do all of this stuff before I started smoking heavily, but people and relationships just continue to disappoint me. I'm an overthinker and intellectual whom has tended towards existential nihilism over the last couple years, to the point where I just didn't see much point in going on.
Being high most of the time slows my mind down enough that I don't overthink quite as badly. Since I've been smoking nearly every day I went from considering suicide, to actually being somewhat content with life and trying to better myself. I am working out daily and lost 50 lbs in the last year, don't quite dread my job anymore so my productivity has actually gone up, and my mental state seems to be the best it's been in years.
A messy failed relationship with someone I really cared about was the straw that broke the camel's back and drove me to start smoking every day, but while high over a period of weeks helped me reason out what went wrong without getting super upset, and how I failed as a partner; weed helps my anxiety and seems to help stop my mind from falling down the rabbit hole of depression and failure, and face my problems more objectively.
Mileage definitely varies and I'm probably an edge case, but for some I believe it is a positive. That's part of the wonder of cannabis, it seems to affect everyone so differently. I still go a few days here or there without smoking just to prove to myself that I can if I want, but I tend to actually get less done and create my own problems from overthinking when I do.
This is exactly my point. Marijuana can either serve you or not serve you. Its not about whether consuming weed is right or wrong from a morale or correct standpoint.
Its about how it serves the individual.
In your case, the way you use it supports you massively! And Im glad it does!
@@GabrielSantos_28 Well said, good sir
A COUPLE OF BOWLS?? YOU SIR, DID NOT HAVE A PROBLEM LOL
Bloodshot eyes you got the bloodshot eyes
Istg i speedran becoming addicted.

Just focus on your breathing only, And you will pass out completely without realizing. I bet your just thinking and thinking and thinking.
I know some ppl don’t believe in god but I would say getting closer to god would also help you… if you manage to go a day without it keep it going don’t look back.
are you filipino
i smoke everyday and i'm successful AF!!! Do u not the weed
Thats dope!!! All I care about is that people feel good, are empowered, fulfilled, and their lives are in alignment with their deepest vision and purpose.
I dont care if that included weed use or not.
Lets go!!!!
Debating whether I should smoke after this video... lol
thatspineappletastic me 2
No
Could you sleep, after stopping your consumption?
Dennis F. it’s normal to have sleep issues after stopping marijuana use, try taking some melatonin, it’s completely safe and it will naturally start your sleep cycle and help you get to sleep faster and have more restful sleep
No doubt. I haven’t smoked in a week and sleep has been very little. Very hard for me to get to sleep
@@amai0225 I tried melatonin before I started smoking weed heavily and it was awful. If I took too little it did nothing, if I took more I slept better but felt like death with a cloud hanging over me for the entire next day, every time. It was far worse than weed for getting good sleep, with me.
Bruh you high af on the video sun
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Como um cara com esse nome não é BR ?
So smoking weed once a week is healthy?
Compared to 4 plus blunts PER DAY its verry healthy
