Its actually kind of crazy how far RC electronics have come, micro helis back in the day were a thing, but man they were unruly little monsters to fly.
You've no idea how uplifting and happy your vids are to a guy who's been through some tough times. Such a tonic and never fails to put a grin on my face. Got me fired up to pick up on my RC creating again too ... 🇬🇧
Yeah, I know what you mean. Wish you all the best and a good time with the hobby! -I refound my love for rc cars a couple years back when I was at a lowpoint. I have had som much fun since then building and scratchbuilding several cars. Kevin, RcEveryday, Olive Rc and Darkdragonwing and several other youtube channels are seriously inspiring in each their own ways!
Damn Kev you weren't kidding, That thing puts the Mcpx to shame with the power output. You're getting so good at 3D heli flying! I still fly mine every Sunday with a friend of mine who also flies Helis.
HE doesn't like to read instructions and each RC setup from different brands do things differently. I'm not making excuses for him. If I paid as much for a heli and those things cost, I'd have that instruction manual right next to the toilet and I wouldn't run the heli until I'd taken a dump and read the important parts at LEAST. Kev is just the type of personality where he can afford to learn everything by doing, even if that means breaking expensive things and looking like a bozo sometimes. I'm not sure if that attitude will work for flying his manned stunt plane later this year. I'd rather look like a dork who reads instruction manuals than look like a crispy corpse smashed on the ground (worst case scenario, God forbid it happens).
Only thing I dislike about OMP-hobby products is the availability of the models and parts. I'm waiting more than 2 years now for a PNP bighorn in Green with flaps.
We used to have a 1920's era logging truck in storage in my building. It not only had hi and lo gears it had a further gear reduction in the diffs BUT it also had gear reduction in the portal axles. A driver with a flat bed came to pick it up to be used in a parade, the owners had moved it outside to make it easy for him. He got in, started it, put it in first. Nothing. Revved it up. Still nothing. Are you in gear? yes...in first. Are you in high? yes. He called up the owners...no, you don't go in 1st, start in 3rd lol....plus it had a hi lo in the diff. We calculated that the final drive was something like 100/1. It needed it since the little 4 cyl engine only had like 40 hp and it'd haul 10,000 lbs. I joked with the owner once that it could probably climb vertically up the side of a building if it could get grip. It was wild, it had gear reduction through a chain off the back of the transmission to the center transfer case, then another gear reduction off those two shafts to the front and rear diffs then the tiny top gears in the portal axles at each wheel.
I’ve never really been bothered about helicopters or flying in general, but this little one has me suddenly want one. Great video, looking forward to seeing it again without the interference.

I work as an electro tech and love new esc etc I even make my own . I bought the furitek 1/10 esc with Bluetooth and dang it is really really really good .
I love this little heli. First time it was quite intimidating. This little thing doesn't look too intimidating untill you activate Idle-up at 100% A little monster for sure!
These are just amasing small helis. I just got the M2 Evo but aldo the M2 V2. They doesnt scare me as much as the Raptor 800 Nitro. I bloody need teraphy after flying them🤪 Great video as allways Kevin.
Jason is such a top bloke . A very funny and knowledgeable guy. Super interesting fact: I once reinstalled the plastic carrier bag holder with a drill and 3 rawl plugs in his shop ,whilst purchasing an Fms Yak .
Great little heli and pretty crash resistant!I love my m1 and m2. I got the bind and fly for my nx8. Omp just came out with an upgraded m1 evo and m2 evo. I just bought the new SAB RAW 420 also. Stoked!
Had my first crash with the M1, was flying in the living room and my hand accidentally hit the 3D flap and I hit the ceiling and then landed on the floor, luckily nothing broke
@@donniemarks94 ive had a few crashes with mine in grass and nothing broke. I was flying inside once and managed to hit myself in the ankle though. Cut me pretty good. That little heli can do some damage.
This and the Eachine E150 are insanely capable small helis! I bought the E150 due to it being better value plus the official batteries for the Omphobby aren't cheap.
Was looking at the Align Trex T-15, which is identical to this machine, but was intimidated by the fact it's a BNF kit, and needs some weird satellite receiver to work with my Spektrum NX-8 radio. Kinda nice to see this guy's an RTF. I wanna buy a heli to fly, not fart around with mysterious black magic weird stuff. lol
I really want that Heli, so good but I have many others needing flown that I can't justify it, lol. Once I've got any sort of 3D skill with the others maybe! I can fly a CP Heli, just
Where’s this upside down roof landing kev? Every heli vid “it can land upside down!” And yet no landing upside down, starting to think he hasn’t got the minerals 😏
i have to disagree, to me its way better than say a blade heli, the parts are way cheaper and heli is built better...compared the mcpx bl bind and fly, whick comes with no battery or charger.

I have an M1. It's great fun to fly in the backyard.
Kev, more, more, more helis!!! Please!
I think you knew you could have tried binding it but you used that as an excuse to go to Redfin and shop! Hahaha
Love the music Kev
Kev revealing his true power level every time he busts out a heli. It takes a lot of time and effort to be able to pull off those moves
