@@CWS002 Yeah, Cortana said that if Chief was lucky, she'd get paired with another Cortana model. "But it wouldn't be me..." I'm really glad tho that this Cortana model has a different vibe and persona. I would have been okay with just literally, another Cortana. And have her acknowledge that she isn't the one that went rogue but will still do everything she can to help Chief.
I like how they made Chief delicate in the way he interacts with the bodies of the dead Marines, he treats them with respect, this is a side we rarely see and it’s heartwarming to see his respect
The worst part is that The Weapon is either going to be killed by Cortana, die to save Cortana, or BOTH of them die to save Chief. No happy ending with her is possible.
In halo there are two kinds of AIs, dumb and smart. Dumb AIs are made the way we make AIs now. Smart AIs are made by making a digital copy of a human brain. The smart AIs are essentially digital humans. We would also call them AGI or artificial general intelligence in the real world. Long story short, a new dog she is not.
So does this AI being clothed prove that Cortana actually was naked, even though developers stated she was not? A rhetorical question, of course the answer is yes.
Clearly Cortana isn't deleted cause she most likely is the reason why the new one isn't deleted either. Plus, Cortana can't be deleted, she needs to stay
Thoughts on Cor2na? I like her. I actually like her a lot, even if we've only seen like 30 seconds of her. I might be reading too much into it, but I kind of get the feeling that in order to avoid "bad copy" accusations, they're pulling an Atreus with her? He was designed/written to be the complete reverse of Kratos (quick, excitable ranged fighter as opposed to bulky, stoic brawler). Likewise, I think she's meant to be Cortana backwards. Cortana goes around naked, Cor2na wears clothes. Cortana was kind of bold and sassy to everyone, even her superiors and tended to be kind of playful; Cor2na comes off as almost nervous when she's talking to John and is only really interested in the mission. Most importantly, Cortana was Master Chief's best friend - Cor2na is a total stranger with her her face and voice. Again, I may be massively overstating the significance of things, but I'm excited to see more of her.
Nah ur def on point I feel The new one almost acts like she’s scared and stressed out because she is dealing with not just a Spartan but THE Spartan. She is solely focused on the mission because it seems she’s super new and that’s all she knows. Cortana was given alotttt of freedoms for an AI, cor2na seems to be in a tighter leash since she was supposed to basically self delete but now hasn’t. I think we will get her fairly early in the campaign, and then it will mirror how cortana taught chief how to be more human, while now chief will teach cor2na to be more human as well
I have a problem with them revealing this new AI in a trailer instead of the game. This is a pretty big moment to just throw in as a lure for the fans. They should of blacked it out when he’s walking through the door way and we just hear the AI humming a tune then she says “hello chief” or something.
I think it's possible Corrupted Cortana infiltrated the code of this New Cortana, altered her memory/program, then went into hibernation. It's going to be a plot point where Corrupted Cortana begins to resurface, and Chief has to make the decision to either allow her to re-emerge, letting the Cortana he knows take over and kill New Cortana -- or pulling the plug, killing Corrupted Cortana to save this new version.
To your point Cortana was made by first making a flash clone of the brain of Dr. Halsey. Then they scanned the brained, copying the structure of the brain digitally. The process destroys the brain hence why they didn't do the scan on the actual Dr. Halsey. But what we got was a bassicly a younger digital version of Halsey, her bold and brash personality along with it. Cortana was actually not the first attempt at making an AI in this manner but the most successful.
@@Uknown76 It is her little sister. Her older sister died years ago. This is a new AI created from a clone of Halsey's brain just like Cortana and Kalmiya (their eldest sister).

In-engine can be reflective of how the game will look on PC/Series X. Not exactly (obviously some things will probably have more detail or such than normally), but then again this isn’t supposed to be gameplay or anything, just another peek into the story and cutscenes.
I just noticed how she says it was Chief's job to submit Cortana for deletion once they captured her... and I doubt he ever intended to go through with it. He probably signed on to try and bring her back and I doubt he'd turn her in regardless of the conditions.
I love how at 0:52 , when the Chief has to go by some Fallen UNSC Soldiers, he respectfully moves past them and even pauses to look at the passed away hero before continuing on. Despite the Chief is one of the most dangerous people in the galaxy, he still shows respect to a common soldier, especially after they had given their lives in combat.
You can definitely tell that this AI if a “fragment” is her military knowledge by the way she stands at attention and if this is not a fragment this AI was built specifically to serve the military like Roland as she acts just like him the original Cortana had some what of a witty, playful, and sarcastic attitude and this one has none of those traits even her posture is different form the original
Ever since the first video, I've been too in love with Chiefs armor. It makes me so happy we're finally getting the more classic style like it should've always been.
i feel kind of bad for getting a new cortana, its just not the same, but the good thing is that 343 arn't making her the same either. She seems much different from to usual Cortana so it will feel like a new character with a new dynamic that may grow into what we're used to seeing with chief and her. I think it will be alright.
I do appreciate how with this scene its clear that this new ai isn't just another cortana. But a successor. This one seems like a happy officer fresh out of training ready for a desk job. And I love that.
Getting *good* old school vibes out of this. You can really see the effort that went into making it. And the Chief accepting that the mission isn't everything. That he is human. That it can change.. Just the right touch. (lovely music too)
This feels completely different than halo 5, like the music and cortana saying stuff like “if you knew how u were going to die, how would u live ur life differently” like its bonechilling idk it might just be me
I'm theorizing that the "one bullet" was something the marine was saving for himself once he had lost all hope. Fortunately for him, Master Chief is really good at giving it
I really hope the writers pull off something like God of War and give Chief the kind of emotional story that Kratos got in his own series. The subtle way they include him gently handling the marines bodies and how he interacts with The Weapon A.I. gives me hope.

I love how much care Chief took when handling the dead Marines and how he basically beat the shit outta that jackal. It just goes to show that, even though Chief is a modified super soldier that has seen decades of warfare and lost more than anyone can truly understand, he has always grappled with his humanity which is why it’s been touched upon multiple times in Halo 4 and 5. He lets out his humanity when carefully grabbing the assault rifle from the one dead Marine, and holding that other one with great ease in order to not disturb their rest. I also love the design of the new Cortana. The one in Halo 5 was so fuckin weird looking. Halo 4 Cortana is the best looking outta all of them. However, I like the black in tandem with the classic blues that Cortana has always had. I’ve got a lot of hope for this game. Please god, don’t let it fail. I’m so glad that they decided to postpone the game until way later after the first reveal from last year. It already looks better.

Therefore it’s believed a copy of Cortana (who we are probably now seeing in this trailer) has been created with the serial number "CTN-0453-0”. Hope that helps!
Just amazing!!
@@bencarter6001 I think like mentioned in halo 4 ai like Cortana exist maybe this is one of them
@@CWS002 Yeah, Cortana said that if Chief was lucky, she'd get paired with another Cortana model.
This new AI sounds so innocent and young compared to the original cortana, it’s definitely going to be a pleasure working alongside her
The worst part is that The Weapon is either going to be killed by Cortana, die to save Cortana, or BOTH of them die to save Chief. No happy ending with her is possible.
Well now I’m just sad
@@plaguemockter7235 sorry, hit you know I’m right 😂
This is kinda like getting a second new dog after the other one passes away into doggo heaven
We may get a new dog, but we'll never forget the first, and much fun we had together.
What are you talking about lol Bungie admitted numerous times throughout Vidocs back in the day that Cortana was totally naked 😂
Cortana was naked, it is mentioned in the books that she purposefully chose to be naked in order to be more persuasive.
@@cabostein9923 Which book does it say that in?
@GoTi4No calm down son it’s just a drawing

THIS.
Clearly Cortana isn't deleted cause she most likely is the reason why the new one isn't deleted either. Plus, Cortana can't be deleted, she needs to stay
I’m liking the this new “Cortana” her voice and perky personality can even mend Master Chiefs broken heart.
Hell yee-uh!
Nah ur def on point I feel
The new one almost acts like she’s scared and stressed out because she is dealing with not just a Spartan but THE Spartan.
I like her bubbly personality it’s cute ☺️
Cortana was actually not the first attempt at making an AI in this manner but the most successful.
i like how there's a little smile from cortana right before she enters the chip.
It's not Cortana it's her older sister
yeah, you know what i mean.
@@Uknown76 It is her little sister. Her older sister died years ago. This is a new AI created from a clone of Halsey's brain just like Cortana and Kalmiya (their eldest sister).
I had such a huge smile when he said the mission's changed.
Ohhhh she is just like a remnant of cortana
maybe that, or a sister AI created by Halsey
@@elf-lordsfriarofthemeadowl2039 wait thinking about something in a book they do not confirm that Cortana left remnants of her in the first game? It's possible that Halsey found one?

This man doesn't know the Chief does he?
one bullet is enough for one grunt... and then chief has himself a fully loaded plasma pistol or needler.
@Slak Kap well, there has to be an actual grunt around for that to work...
@Slak Kap no I saw the magazine. I'm just saying in general teh master chief can always get himself a weapon provided he has an enemy to slaughter for it.
@Slak Kap I thought you were referencing the magazine that he grabbed at around that same time.
Sniper jackal: Run that shit by me again son.
wow I really like this new Cortana. has a cute innocence about her. also she looks prettier
Kinda like the cortana in halo 4
If Cortana 1.0 was Data, then Cortana 2.0 is B4
prettier then halo 5 cortana but halo 4...thats close
"All scenes captured in engine"
In-engine can be reflective of how the game will look on PC/Series X. Not exactly (obviously some things will probably have more detail or such than normally), but then again this isn’t supposed to be gameplay or anything, just another peek into the story and cutscenes.
“They might even pair you with a new Cortana model.”
'the mission has changed, they always do'
man what a great line
Calling it now. That’s the real Cortana after covertly replacing the AI that was supposed to imitate her.
From the moment I watched the trailer, that thought popped in my head.
Not a bad thought.
I just noticed how she says it was Chief's job to submit Cortana for deletion once they captured her... and I doubt he ever intended to go through with it. He probably signed on to try and bring her back and I doubt he'd turn her in regardless of the conditions.
The piano, and hearing cortanas voice as chief grabs the AR got me feeling all sorts of ways

Love how the new cortana is oblivious about the story, and to me that makes halo already better.
Now *this* feels like halo.
Wholesome how chief navigates through the bodies. An eerie seen for sure.
This looks so goddamn good
Godblessed good* i'm crying right here... So. GOOOOOD 😭
This scene was better with this music
I agree. And the ghostly cortana dialogue while chief is in space is very mysterious and spooky.
Defo can’t believe they changed it . Ruined this scene
"The mission's changed. They always do."
I love you Chief. Please don't ever leave me.
2:43 AI: *Are you sure?*
Chief: For fuq sake, I'm really 100% sure.
This cutscene is already better than all of Halo 5
Ever since the first video, I've been too in love with Chiefs armor. It makes me so happy we're finally getting the more classic style like it should've always been.
Chief and Halo fans after seeing Cortana again: Time to start simping
2:31: That head flick reminded me of a halo 1 cutscene and im so happy
i feel kind of bad for getting a new cortana, its just not the same, but the good thing is that 343 arn't making her the same either.
Tbh she's kinda a throwback to H1 Cortana, since she does a lot more military and technical talk, which she seemed to lose each new halo release.
yeah me too. I hope there are some funny fish out of water moments with her. especially considering how ridiculous MC service record is.
The damage with halo 5 is done. Better this way. Let's just hope they know what they're doing and where to take this story
@@Guilherme-qo9ye for sure.
I got mad chills at the end when the ost started playing , what a time to be alive 🙏
Getting *good* old school vibes out of this.
You can really see the effort that went into making it. And the Chief accepting that the mission isn't everything. That he is human. That it can change..
Just the right touch.
(lovely music too)
The moment he shares with the AI is perfect. I'm more excited for the story than multiplayer
I really like how MC doesn’t let the past stop him from bringing the new AI with him.
This feels completely different than halo 5, like the music and cortana saying stuff like “if you knew how u were going to die, how would u live ur life differently” like its bonechilling idk it might just be me
I'm theorizing that the "one bullet" was something the marine was saving for himself once he had lost all hope. Fortunately for him, Master Chief is really good at giving it
poor chief, gone through so much. but the fight never ends. hope he gets some closure with cortana
I really hope the writers pull off something like God of War and give Chief the kind of emotional story that Kratos got in his own series. The subtle way they include him gently handling the marines bodies and how he interacts with The Weapon A.I. gives me hope.
He'll face his greatest challenge.. figuring out himself
Halo 4: Refusing orders for the first time.
Halo 5: Going on a rebellious crusade.
Halo 6: Forging his own path?
I swear, we're gonna get attached to this Cortana and then that deletion routine is gonna kick in.
This Cortana is either a cover, or a Trojan Horse. I'm calling it.
I don't think it's Cortana but it's her sister Cortana was created using a clone of Dr halsey's brain this new ai wasn't
@@Uknown76 This new AI was also created from a clone of Halsey's brain (brain clone was acquired at the end of the prequel book Shadows of Reach by Blue Team). This is Cortana's little sister.
@@Uknown76 as the trailer said she was designed to assimilate Cortana then self delete. I can tell by Chief reaction that his hope is their her prevention of self deletion means the real Cortana is out there.
Cortana: "Hmm...your architecture isn't much different from the Autumn's..."
John: "Don't get any funny ideas."
I think halo is a pretty cool guy. Eh kills aliens and doesn’t afraid of anything
Look at the delicate way he taps to eject his chip and the sound. Love.
*God. He won't, fam. LET'S GOOO
