Truth be told no spartan IV can ever rise to the legends to the Spartan II's, or III's, but instead we use what they've done, as an inspiration to become and be the best spartan we can be, and make our own legends.

Still pump action, but with a drum mag and a grip on the pump, lower damage but much faster fire rate and said to be more accessible than the old one. Kind of weird seeing a spartan limping without any visible damage. Spartan 2s 005 James - Lost his right arm fighting 2 hunters. Still fought and even saluted master chief with his left arm before passing out heading back to base. 042 Douglas - Got shoulder crushed still tried to stand to fight back, and then got yeeted across the map by atriox only to pass out.
The 20 some odd Spartans from the Fall of Reach novel who sky dived without a parachute. Sadly four died and half those that remained were injured but kept fighting.
Nothing in this trailer makes sense, if this is the invasion of earth in 2552 why are the covis in London using banished armour and the Spartans using mk 7 If this is after that then why is the phantom a covenant design and how can she be old enough to become a Spartan, also why is London so incredibly over build despite earths low population and the size of city’s like new Mombasa?
Regarding the Mk 7 armor, I’m guessing they’re using the Halo 4 model of armor historicity (ie using “modern” armor as stand-ins for historical ones). It’s a shame tho, would’ve been nice to see Infinite’s interpretation of classic armors in the flashback scenes.
Prolly the same reason why in Halo 4, the cutscenes of Spartans and the Elites were of Halo 4-time's design rather than the design of the early Human-Covenant War. Because they have the art for this game and they're damn well going to use it, whether it makes sense or not.

So the Covenant detached some units to London while searching for the portal to the Ark and some Spartans were deployed. Do we know who these Spartans are? The Spartan-IV program wasn't complete so these soldiers would either be Spartan-IIs or Spartan-IIIs.
Would have been a lot more compelling of a video if the girl gets saved initially by the spartans, but then a hidden brute throws a grenade behind a unaware spartan(perhaps fighting another brute)... she sprints to the grenade... barely is able to pull it out of the ground(bc of spikes), and throws it.. but the grenade goes off mid air, and she loses her arm.. then when it cuts back to her as an adult, you see her armored up and the camera pans to reveal her mechanical arm.

So the Covenant detached some units to London while searching for the portal to the Ark and some Spartans were deployed. Do we know who these Spartans are? The Spartan-IV program wasn't complete so these soldiers would either be Spartan-IIs or Spartan-IIIs.
Would have been a lot more compelling of a video if the girl gets saved initially by the spartans, but then a hidden brute throws a grenade behind a unaware spartan(perhaps fighting another brute)... she sprints to the grenade... barely is able to pull it out of the ground(bc of spikes), and throws it.. but the grenade goes off mid air, and she loses her arm.. then when it cuts back to her as an adult, you see her armored up and the camera pans to reveal her mechanical arm.
