I trust people that talk with their hands.
Tie their hands together to keep them quiet
Well just go and hang out with some deaf people then
Juntimus Maximus *deaf robber has joined the chat*
He doesn’t talk with his hands. He screams with them lol
He look like peter Parker when he turns “bad”
what are you talking about? he's captain america
XD you killed me!
Woooord

exactly
The real title should be "How to seduce by talking with your hands😂"

“Hands, and Seduction Without Intention - A Case Study”
Favorite comment of all time, thus far.
Holy shit dude, Captain America has got some pipes!
Chris Mars now. Thanks captain!

bro that was ridiculous, at 4:30 when u were singing you had like a harmony with your note that was so crazy
i taught he put it over it
You really believe I recorded over that? That’s a huge compliment, thank you! I bet your stuff is awesome too!!!
Using the term screamo shows that you have insufficient knowledge on the matter. Stop it
Thank you! That one was ridiculous. Here’s the latest.

@@PsyOpConspiracy man, how can I do the thing you do at 4:30
Layne is literally my inspiration for wanting to learn to belt, and when he was the first example you used, i nearly screamed with excitement
same!! :)
Same here! I started to learn singing because of Layne, check out my cover of man in the Box if you want to :)
Every support is welcome!
How to scream. Learn to sing them just add a little fry like AaaaaaaaaaAAAAAaaaAaaAAAAAaaAAaAaaAaAAA
Just a ~little~ bit of fry
You explain so well! It's really late and I don't want to wake my family up, so I'll have to practice tomorrow, but this was still really helpful!
Thank you! I’m so glad it helped!
It's so beautiful how he talks with his hands and facial features. Beautiful voice. Wooof.
He had me dead when he screamed

you using Layne as an example made me happy
I teach myself how to scream and I have to say that screaming is one of the most precise things you can do in singing. You need the right amount of pressure and enough self confidence.
2:42 I loose all doubt for this guy's technique. I am now using my long lost attention span😐
If I had heard only the audio of this video, I would have thought that Corey Taylor was the one talking XD
HOLY SHIT you're right!
I knew his speaking voice sounded so familiar. I read your comment, closed my eyes and listened, only took 1 second, and I my mind got fucking blown away. That is CRAZY!
In my opinion He dont Sound Like him..🤔
Corey Taylor can sing and scream though.
this is like a how to draw book where theyre like "Draw a circle" "now draw the rest of the owl"
I understand your frustration. This is all really old material. I have a two week free trial of my new techniques and videos on my Vimeo site.

Just sign up and then cancel immediately, they try out videos 15-19 on different types of vocal fry. I’m working on building some Udemy courses that will blow everyone’s minds, I just need a little more time.
I seriously can't believe how much this helps... I've been self-taught up to this point. I think a little bit of vocal coaching would be really good.
You should offer short zoom lessons or something
I offer one hour lessons on zoom. First one is $25, then we work it out from there. Email at Chris@marsvocal.com and we’ll talk.
Also, you get two weeks free, then $14.99 a month for my first 30 premium lessons, which are way better than what’s on here. marsvocal.vhx.tv/
Lastly, be on the lookout for my new series 8 Steps to Vocal Freedom. It is my masterpiece.
You’ve gained Italy’s respect by talking with your hands!
Great explanation on top of it, lol!
This guy makes me feel genetically insufficient.
BTW, have you attempted to reproduce Devin Townsend (Of Strapping Young Lad)'s type of screaming? He's able to fluidity move from a black metal-ish scream to clean singing and it doesn't seem to hurt his voice at all. It's mind blowing.
Devin's screams are the reason I'm here
Devin's an absolutely insane vocalist

You sounded like you had two voices at the same time when you used distortion. :)
I also heard it. Because of echo I guess.
Not echo, when you scream the right way, your voice should actually produce multiple notes at the same time, usually two, but some people like Chester from Linkin Park produce three notes. I'm not a doctor, so I can't explain to you exactly why, but it has something to do with the resonant spaces in your body and how open they should be while screaming.
CaptainLegend RIP Chester
All I heard was some dude screaming🤷🏽♂️
overtones
Can someone with knowledge in sign language please interpret this?
both middle fingers is what you're looking for
I came here expecting a shitty free singing lesson, but fuck, this actually turned out to be valuable information (the kind of stuff that you don't realize by yourself, but it's "obvious" once you hear it). Especially when you used Layne Staley as a reference.

i'm watching this in the library.
You should try watching it in the Louvre, or perhaps even Buckingham Palace.
You're quite frankly. Talented.
Thank you, I really appreciate it.
This is the funniest fucking video I've seen in a while. Watching this guy go from zero to full on scream cracks me up.
No pain, no gain.
Deathcore screaming!!!
thanks for this video papi... it was the second video when I looked up how to scream... nice job buddy ol pal bud
Damn this is really good, I've been hella Fucking up my voice lately cause I liked the sound anyway. Don't wanna lose my voice tho

Wow this video really helped me in my path to learn how to scream.
I’m so humbled and grateful to hear that!
These videos are pretty old, and I’ve gotten a lot better since this was filmed, but the fact that I was able to help you in any way makes all the blood, sweat, and tears along the way worth it.

great. now my gran can hear me when I go over to her house.
well explained, informative and the way u talk with your hands and your body too is amazing. keep it up!
Thank you so much! I’ve worked hard to become a better coach over the years - it’s helped me more as a producer and musician than anything else I do. I’m really happy that I’m able to share my experience with all of you.
New videos and music on the way soon!
Jesus fucking christ. I have no idea who this dude is but he is amazing with his voice.
safe techniques for this are so important
Thank You for your lesson ... It's very important for my that educators like you take the time to educate people that doesn't know or neither understand ... Thank You some much :) ... Good wishes in your career
Layne is my favourite singer...I love his passion
This was perfect
Tip: When you do this it almost feels like your doing "inhales" even though they are definitely exhales. He explains around 5:00.
Fry screaming does not come from vocal fry. The term fry screaming is a misnomer started by Melissa Cross. Instead transition to a "fry" using the throat singing technique Khoomei. For false cord screams, learn Kargyraa.
he’d be a fire ass joker
Absolute dream
still relevant. thank you man :) great video, your vocals are crazy!
Thank you so much!
Holy shit, that was great when you sang Alice In Chains. I love your Whisper Vocal fry video, also!
Omg thank you I've been learning for a few months and now I can sing tears don't fall my throat don't hurt
Well done!
love ur energy !
I scream a lot and i don't know if i do it right and i sing some son and i started to feel some pain when im singing its like cutting your throat
You should ask a singing teacher or a doctor, because you could damage your vocal cords forever
username. Thanks
Yeah that definitely ain't right. Hope you're taking better care of your voice now.
I didn’t see this before. Stop doing what you’re doing immediately and talk with someone who knows how to scream without any straining whatsoever. Not even a little.
Whether it’s me or someone else, you’ve got to have someone show you how to sing/scream safely.
Then stop, if it's feeling like your throats cut/cords snapped.
As a beginner they say practise maximum 20 minutes a day maximum. Stay proper hydrated. Rest your cords in between as much as possible.
My point is be careful, to can PERMANENTLY damage your cords for life if incorrect techniques.
Stay real dude. Xx
Thank you!!! I just found out why I also don`t sing good! THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!!
that polyphonic overtone tho.... damn
Metal Vocal Coaching with Chris Mars | marsvocal.comruclips.net/video/PlBl6fyJ6Mc/видео.html
One more tip. Your chords will decide when it's ok to scream or not.
Tell a bit more?
Supernatural Superstar t un caca mou
Peter parker's long lost twin
i was too impressed to actually pay attention and learn. lol. awesome video
Nice demostration of vocal fry and of where to start! The effects like singing with "rasp" or "fry", is only icing on the cake, where you need to have the foundation laid down first. But I hate to break it to you, but Chris Cornell doesn't do vocal fry. He uses destortion by activating his false cords. Not in the same sense as the classical "death metal growl", where the vocal cords are forced apart to let the false cords ressonate freely on the sides. It is a completely different effect used by for example James Hetfield of metallica aswell, Corey Tailor of slipknot when he doesn't full out growl, Phil Anselmo - but he DOES combine it with alot of vocal fry, and his screams are a mixture of destortion and vocal fry, which is very hard to do proper! Or atleast I find it hard ^^
Every one of the singers you mentioned has had massive vocal problems. MarsVocal.com with free trial.
3:07 deleted scene from GoT when Ramsay got his face chewed off
This is great advice!
Good video. Sound advice... I now have a small granuloma on my false vocal cords as a result of not doing it correctly. Now I'm learning to sing.
he looks like evil peter parker i love it
you sound like the narrator to Goodfellas!
im getting home soon and im going to scream
A litTLE BiT oF vOcAl FrY
Just for seasoning.
This wasn’t quite what I was looking for. I can already do a lot of the sing-screaming you describe. I was looking for more extreme metal screaming like growls, shrieks, etc. Think Chris Barretto from Monuments, who has a diverse vocal range and can scream pretty loudly. I’m having trouble doing those types of screams without damaging my voice and massively restricting my high range/head voice without taking days to heal.
THIS IS VOCAL FRY
Quadeca?

Awesome video, i really liked your style of explaining this:)
Glad you liked it, I’ll be posting new videos soon!
Thank you for this techniches i think i got it and don't you worry about the jealous anonymous comments that not contribute to singers
Alice in chains. Fantastic choice
Just like darts pool ect I get to nervous and tence
Absolutely!
The bottom line with singing is you’re learning how to be loose and vulnerable in the face of fear. It’s not a quick easy trick to learn, but your analogy here is spot on. Great comment!
*trying to keep a straight face as this man after he screams*
It’s not easy to be certifiably insane, vocally.
@@PsyOpConspiracy ok
anyway thanks for the tutorial my dude
1. Developed Diaphgram musclar power and control
2. Proper Singing Technique Including Relaxation etc. Not forcing
3. Good vocal fry with control and range (different ways to fry)
4. start to layer 3 over 1 and 2, only after 1 and 2 are properly established. otherwise your just fucking yourself up and developing bad technique
This is prbably why i can do a good scream 1 or 2 songs at karaoke, then im fucked. Im tensing. its not coming from my diaphragm so im strainng to get it up. and by tensing i cant hit the high notes anyways cuase the air cant get through, so im forcing and forcing, basiclaly ripping aprt my vocal chors. also hard to have control when your exploding this hard. so it sounds like shit. Wow so much learned. thank you man. great lesson/ :)
Wait your name is Chris Evans?! O_O
I picked that up too
My name is now Chris Mars, because I’m not Captain America. I am, in fact, a super villain, thank you very much.
Thanks for watching!!!
You sound like axl rose in guns n roses when u scream!
Thank you
Add a little bit lmao he went for it
Vocal fry does strain but its definitely safer than unregulated screaming
Quadeca???
Oli Sykes should've watched this.
I’ve gotten to where I can do low metal screams for a pretty good while without it hurting but as soon as I try to talk afterwards my voice will crack unless I clear my throat
Don’t give up!
Your voice will ring through!
I was wondering how to scream like Corey Taylor, I got the tone but i feel like I'm doing it wrong.
Feel free to email me at chris@domrecords.com and I’ll be happy discuss this with you.
Ha do it completely wrong and don't use your diaphragm he got better but fucked it for life
To be fair there are thousands of metal singers and none of them can quite do it like Corey Taylor. He's especially good. I always liked Dax Riggs from Acid Bath as well. Two of the best screamers.
I did the vocal fry and added the voice. But I have trouble adding distortion . So it just sounds like a screechy scream much like a bat
Metal Vocal Coaching with Chris Mars | marsvocal.comruclips.net/video/PlBl6fyJ6Mc/видео.html
Because vocal fry is useless. Almost all the distortion you hear in extreme vocals, is produced by false cords. While vocal fry is all about vocal cords
Impressive!
So I think I know how to fry scream. It doesn't hurt at all while screaming but does it damage my voice over time?
Email me chris@marsvocal.com if you’re doing it right no
I need to learn those the way I do it naturally fkn I can't even do 1 song rn w/o screaming cuz I can sing I got a way to sing but the emotion of thre scream just rios my throat up but it's my yelling screaming natural way I can scream loud n the sound I like but it hurts
I dont know why but your voice would give a pretty good joker (batman series). Good video Tough
I’d love to do a voiceover gig. Acting and filmmaking are something else I’m extremely passionate about.

That’s great to hear! How did it feel?
Yeah. Idk how people scream before singing.
just slick your hair back and boom, corey taylor

Ya boi Metal head, no need to wait, and calming down is actually in the right direction. The trick is to learn to relax your throat.

I can not find how to combine the falsetto voice with the fry voice !!! the sound of the fry is low and with the falsetto can be made acute. I can not combine them to record the fry scream.
if i strained my chords a bit from screaming is it ok to lightly sing without going into the heavy stuff ?
Too many variables in this situation for me to give you a good answer.
I don’t know how strained you are, what is light to you, or what you’re trying to sing.
I would encourage you to book a one on one lesson if you’re having this kind of issue. I can tell you exactly what you need to do then, and you won’t have to wonder.

And what about that nasally Billy Corgan screaming then drop to melodic?
Anyone see this from quadecas vid
Did anyone else hear his voice have a sort of background harmony at 4:28???
That’s an overtone that is specifically dissonant with the primary note. I can do a hell of a lot more of them at once now, and it sounds way badass. It opens up my range way higher, and best of all, is safer while taking less effort.
