    hi! I have a 2001 GU Patrol. Is it normal that once I started the engine, the Actuator goes all the wall up? I don't have a dawes or anything. It's just a stock engine with calibrated fuel injection pump.

      @@benos4x4adventures49 lol, well I do have an answer and it is NOT, it can not be replace by any EBC because of the spool rate, so far there is an ECU who can manage the electronic boost solenoid and it is called magic box. May be the GFB boost control may work but no one has try it.

    Hi mate great set up, I'm in the UK and Patrol mods are limited in terms of spares suppliers. Can you tell me the part numbers / makes of the kits you fitted as it would really help me source the parts for this upgrade thanks in advance!

    • @kurtstein7631
      @kurtstein7631  7 лет назад +2

      You will be able to get the oil catch can, exhaust temp probe and gauge, vacuum gauge for the turbo, bleed off valve and all other bits and pieces on line just google NADS and you will be on your way.

      @@beaufighter245 I ordered the gauges from Patrol Apart in Australia in the end. Their website is so easy to find the right parts with good descriptions. Stay away from dealers for the genuine parts they are useless, the facebook groups have people who know how to get bits so I have not struggled to get what I need it just takes a little while which can be frustrating.

    One more question ,regarding the flow direction of the adjustable needle valve... so the flow direction starts => from the T piece threw the vacuum line goes in / the adjustable needle valve in the cab / out and ends at the air resonator box ?Thank you

    • @kurtstein7631
      @kurtstein7631  6 лет назад

      Exactly like that, if its placed the wrong way like I did to start with you won't get vacuum and maintaining boost will be almost impossible.

    I have a needle valve , dawes valve and Boost gauge , I want to install them.
    How do I connect the Boost gauge? To what hose?
    And do I really need a EGT gauge too?
    To what do I connect the EGT gauge? I have a stock intercooler with a slightley bigger core that is welded. It has no holes or anything to fit sensors.What do I do? Thanks in advance if you can help me.

    • @kurtstein7631
      @kurtstein7631  6 лет назад

      Hi GC you need the boost gauge otherwise you won't have any idea what you are boosting at which will be ineffective to obtain the best results. Low boost = little power and higher egt temps, not good. Boost to high and you can damage your turbo as in disintegrate the little bugger. You need to fit a block somewhere in the system to mount to, usually on the intercooler. The egt is a good visual to see how hot your baby is getting the probe is mounted as close to the exhaust outlet as possible mine is on the outlet from the turbo where it meets the exhaust as that was a practical place to put it. I drive the car on four gauges, speedo no tickets, fuel gauge not stuck on side off road and the boost and egt which gives me almost the full rev range and the best power to temp ratio. If you are anywhere next to Charters Towers happy to help you out.

    • @GC-hm3yu

      Now I understand how the Boost gauge is fitted , I need an adapter on the intercooler that fits under the MAF sensor . On your rig I thought thats how the intercooler is. Now I found some on the net , what would you recomend? :
      www.rv4x4.net.au/nissan-navara-patrol-zd30-3.0-turbo-diesel-turbosm
      or
      www.rv4x4.net.au/quick-fit-boost-adapter-with-shroud-spacer-kit-nis
      or
      www.tillix.com.au/product/boost-adaptor-nissan-patrol-zd30/
      On the black one I do not need a T piece.
