- Hey guys,
After getting recommendations from you guys in RUclips and Instagram, I've decided to get myself this cheap and easy to install modification for reducing my EGT's and improving the overall performance of my vehicle.

Mate glad to see another fellow patrol owner adopt the tillex system.
I was in your exact same boat. I went for a datz cool 450 wide FMIC next and it was an absolute game changer. I can be easily 250 degrees at 100km/hr 5th gear on a flat road. Never exceeds 550 ever. If you want to go futher they even have a 600 wide kit too. Though I have pumped my boost up to 23 PSI also (right at the limit of the stock turbo which is about 24 PSI).
They’re a good mod that’s for sure! And funny you say that, I’ve literally just received my Dats Cool 450, will be installing the bad boy very soon

I ended up ditching the needle valve. Still run the tillix to limit the boost “just in case”.
I got a remap done and I’m cruising at 100kmh at around 280-300
Interesting mate! I’m very hesitant to tune mine - most of the patrols that I’ve seen go bang have had tunes, maybe ‘safe’ tune is a good bet🤙
@@jasereynolds_ I got mine done from ECPT in NSW. They have a pretty good reputation. Mines been chugging along now for about 4years no issues. On 315's my 2013 manual only got 437nm and 94.1kw. Made a massive difference power wise compared to stock. But still a slug. My patrol weighs 3.3t daily. A bit to get moving

Hi Mate, your videos on the patrol have helped me allot! Looking at a front mount myself intercooler myself. Have you managed to mount it yet? Really curious to see what's involved.

Nice video mate, I’ve been considering this kit over the past few days. As boost rises EGTs seem to drop off which is made apparent in this video. Has your fuel consumption gone up while cruising or while city driving when running that boost level?
Commit mate, has worked well for me so far! And nah my fuel consumption has been fine, I don’t have much of a lead foot so yeah I’ve been fine
I have a 2010 Nissan Patrol CRD Auto and love watching your videos mate, feel like I am taking a lot away from them! Would you install this on an auto?

Biggest thing ppl forget on zd30 gets over looked is monitoring engine coolant temp. I have tune and all supporting mods like you have and my radiator got blocked over heated the engine and blew the head
If I was you get an engine coolant temp gauge save you more trouble in long term

You still get intercooler cover thing on with that boost reference adaptor there?
Yeah mate the engine cover had to come off
I'm about to install boost adaptor myself. Do you just leave the cover off permenantly?@@jasereynolds_

@@jasereynolds_it just looked…messy. Not sure what the go is with the clamps. They weren’t in the kit 5 years ago.
I don’t think you’re supposed to use the same boost connection as your gauge. Don’t they supply the nipple you weld into the intercooler pipe?
@@benwils0n thanks mate, some people said don’t do the same connection as your gauge and some said it doesn’t matter. I haven’t had any issues 😁🤙
