Fabulous😊 Waking up on a Friday morning in England, rain pouring I snuggle in bed with a cup of tea watching your tutorials. They always inspire and you are a really great teacher. I am a bona fide Missouri Starlet!!
I just turned onTVv to watch PBS channel 8 in Nashville to watch Sewing with Nancy and there was Jenny, I had to look at the tv menu to see if I was still on RUclips from last night, but no, there you are on PBS. How nice, you are a sewing STAR!
Jenny, I just love watching your Videos. Since i became disabled, i started sewing off & on since year 2011. I was once a truck driver & in one month time i became ill. I worked all of my life & when I came in off of the road in 2011. I was going a little stir crazy just sitting here. So, i started sewing. Just thought i would share a little bit about me. But, besides that. I have learned allot by watching your videos. You have been an inspiration in my life, even tho we have never met. This past year my Cancer came back & of course i stopped sewing & then packed everything away. Just these past two days. I have been bringing all of my sewing equipment back out & so I am wanting to get back into sewing again. Well, anyway. I just thought I let you know how much you have touched my life by watching your videos. Have a bless day.
Thank you so much for sharing your inspirational story with us Osmon! You're a wonderful example to us all, and we're so glad you have started sewing again! We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
Praying for healing for you. Try to do something you love. It will help the healing process. My husband survived stage 4 melanoma. During his treatment he was encouraged to work on a hobby for stress relief. At a minimum I hope you continue to watch Jenny's wonderful uplifting tutorials. She is such a blessing!
Hi Jenny. I talk to you every Friday. In saying, "Well I wonder what Jenny has for me this Friday." As usual you never disappoint. I have seen this block before, but not on this level. Thank you so much for making my Friday fun..
Oh my goodness .....Jenny, you have ( along with everyone else who works for MSQC ) done it again. I LOVE this quilt tutorial ! I have been away for months ( due to illness ) and have really missed my weekly " dose" of Jenny's awesome tutorials ! I think this would be a great quilt made with dark blue ...so that the stars look like the universe as well. Again, thanks so much MSQC .......and Jenny !
+J. Dorer-Russell Oh yes, that would be so cute! We had the thought to do navy with yellow stars and then arrange them in the form of your favorite constellations! :)
here's a really good idea. vary the spacing between stars to make a random look. then quilt it with stars and lines connecting the stars. you could even quilt planets and moons. but the genius of this quilt is the way the pieced stars are floating in that white space. it's a real opportunity for some stunning quilting.
Thank you Jenny! Love this quilt! And more importantly, what a wonderful gift to your grand. She will be wrapped in your love each night as she starts on this new adventure.
What an awesome use of the jelly roll again! I see this in batiks and a black back ground for the night time sky! Would be a great child's quilt! Thanks for another one to go on "the list!"
What a fun and versatile pattern! I could see this done with a monochromatic theme, scrappy style with vintage prints, modern bright solids with a text or low volume background . . . really so many possibilities! What a great tutorial! Thanks Jenny for another winner!
The stars look like so much fun. It's like an Easter egg hunt or hunting for shells along the beach each one is prettier then the last and just like snowflakes each one is different....
I love this quilt! The first thing that came to my mind when I saw it was a comic book - the stars around a character after they got bonked on the head. This is an awesome kid's quilt, no matter their age; and fun to make. Thank you, Jenny!
This is really lovely. Having the stars small and spaced apart really makes it specially. I'm sure your granddaughter will love taking this quilt with her.
Oh my stars :) I'm squealing like a girl... LOVE this! :) and... AND... using one of your Pigma pens writing family names or messages or whatever in the centers of the stars. SO much fun!! Thank you for yet another winner! :)
This would also look cute with bright print square scraps for the centres, and these 'Magic Colors' bright neon read-like-solids coloured jelly roll strips (or actual solids, like a Kona brights jelly roll) for the "star legs"... and I'll bet you could get more spiky/long-angled star points if you didn't cut the coloured strips into 2.5" squares beforehand, but just laid the long 2.5" strips along the white/background squares until they cover the sides. LOVE IT! Thanks for the funky tute, Jenny! ~Diana from Toronto
Fab scrappy project, with a lot of background solid (or near-solid). Great quick quilt that looks great with bright colours! (or any colourway, as long as the background contrasts greatly with the star legs. Thanks for another great tute, MSQC~!
+Missouri Star Quilt Company just told my son about the glow in the dark thread idea and got the biggest smile, thank you again, great ideas and truly inspirational, would never have thought about glow in the dark thread x
ooOOOOooooo, I like this even more than the big Wonky Star quilt, and I LOVE that one! Plus with the blizzard coming this weekend, I know what I'm going to be doing on my singer 66-1 treadle machine.
I love this cute MSQC wonky star quilt. And I love Wilmington prints. I have a few charm packs destined to be in my wonky star quilt very soon. Thank you!! 💙
I love this quilt! and when it's broken down into stages, it couldn't be more simple! thank you Jenny for such informative and inspirational tutorials.
I have just recently started quilting. I have made 4 quilts using your tutorials. Love Love them. This is sooo cute. I'm going to make it with varying colors of blue.
Thank you so much for responding to me. Appreciate it very much. I live in the Caribbean, so I'll have to check it out to see if it's affordable right now. Blessings to you & keep up the good work.
Finally started cutting my Kona today for my very first quilt. I love the Magic Colors Gems so I'm using them too! I'm so excited!! Thanks Jenny for another awesome tutorial. Cheers ~M
I love this! The wonky stars look so much fun to make! I am going to use a white jelly roll to make my 2 1/2" white squares. :) Thanks so much for another great tute!! :)
New to quilting. Love this idea. Cannot wait to try it, although I am leaning towards a darker blue background - so many pretty colors at MSQ to choose from. Thank you, Jenny, for a great tutorial.
Now Misty must have made one like this cuz I just saw a pic/video of her with one on her lap, and the dog coming up to her. Has anyone else seen it. Stunning quilt. Nothing like a white background with crisp vibrant colours in it.
This would also be so cute with a wonky pinwheel star in between by wonky snowballing the corners of the blocks! That would be a good use for those cut off colored pieces.
Jenny, This an absolutely great way to use up all those small triangle scraps in your basket. What an idea! Lets use all our scraps up if possible, right? Thanks.
I love the Tiny stars quilt. Thanks for such a nice video. I'm going to make the Tiny Star quilt blocks and then add a 3/4" sashing to the blocks. Then sew them together to make a little quilt for the NICU at the hosp. near me. I will be able to make 2 of these quilts out of a pack of my charm squares. These small quilts are for laying over the isolletes to keep the bright lights out of the babies eyes. I made 2 little quilts with one Minion charm charm pack. I watched your video for the quilt that has the sevens and ells. Sorry I can't remember the name of the quilt right off hand. But the Minion quilts are so cute and the Tiny Stars quilts will be so cute too.
i have this northern lights fabric i bought while in yellowknife this summer and have been saving it for just the right project. that on a jet black background will look like the stars in the north. i hope its what i am envisioning. thank you
Just wondering if you trim off the back of the star after you sew the color square to the white. Love the quilt . Would make a great baby quilt. Just think how many you would get from a pack of strips!
Jenny I like your Block books I get, but I wish you would put more craft items in your book. Like totes and pillows, things like that would be nice too. Have a nice day from Louise Petit. Looking forward to my next book. Good Bye. :)

+J. Dorer-Russell The dark blue sounds good. I think a dark blue with sparkles would be pretty.
I am going to try to make a few blocks with the dark blue to see if I like it.....
+J. Dorer-Russell Oh yes, that would be so cute! We had the thought to do navy with yellow stars and then arrange them in the form of your favorite constellations! :)

It also makes a lovely baby blanket.
Thank you Jenny you inspired again.
J'adore. Se modèle. Et tout. Se que vous faites

Just wondering if you trim off the back of the star after you sew the color square to the white. Love the quilt . Would make a great baby quilt. Just think how many you would get from a pack of strips!
+sydneybeanpug That's a great question. There's really no need to trim it, so we left it! :)
