Oh Misty! This is wonderful! Snow is one of my favorite things and you made them six-sided like they should be. So many quilting/craft projects make four or eight sided snowflakes. I just can't bring myself to make anything but a six-sided snowflake. The Tilda fabrics really make this project cute! Thank you!
Love, love, love this! I have made quite a few dresden projects, but I picked up several useful hints from this video!! Thank you! Also, thanks for no music in the background. With hearing aids, background music makes it harder to hear the instructions!
I love this pattern! Thank you Soo much! I'm making big Dresden plate tree skirts for gifts and this will be perfect to tie the tables in with the same fabrics!
I actually appreciate no music, and I love music! But sometimes it just gets in the way. This was a great snowflake runner, thank you. It’s on my todo list! Thank you
Interestingly enough, I happen to have already purchased those tools from MSQC, so I can do this project with scraps!! I think I will do two placements, one snowflake on each one! Misty, thank you so much for another great sewing project idea!!
I really enjoyed watching this, you are so clever. May make this in future, bit busy with Christmas making right now but thought this would make a nice Spring flower version maybe with sunflower colors. Thanks! It's 7:38am here
I love the snowflakes, the soft blues, I am going to make them with blue like this and white on white, It is lovely. Merry Blessed Christmas to you and your family
This would be a beautiful winter quilt( mathematically challenged so would take some figuring out ). Also the winter collection is really pretty for a Christmas runner.
Misty this one is really great! I may just try it. I’ve only done appliqué a couple of times in my loooong history of quilting (40+ yrs!), and really hated doing it. This is such a simple method, and the results are just stunning!!! Thanks so much! You are an excellent teacher ❤
This is a beautiful project ❄️❄️❄️Misty! I think you could get 5 snowflakes out of one charm pack … which is how long I will make mine. You make it look totally doable. Thanks for such a lovely project with easy-to-follow instructions!😊
Love this idea! I’ll definitely make this! So pretty. You made an intimidating pattern look easy. Can’t wait to do this table runner and matching pillows!
Oh Sis, this is so so beautiful! I love snowflakes and I especially love the pretty pattern you’ve created. Thank you for sharing your wonderful talents my beautiful girl. Your grandmothers are smiling down from Heaven I am sure.
Beautiful!! This will give me a reason to use my triangle ruler from Missouri Star. Which I bought several years ago. I'm excited to get started. Thanks Misty! I appreciate you sharing this pattern.
This is so pretty, Misty. I have never done Dresdens before, now I think I want to try it. I love snowflakes ❄️. YOU explain and demonstrate so well. I think I could actually do it. Thank you for sharing this with us. 💖🤟🙏🍀❄️🧵🪡✂️🦓Liz, Northern California 😊
This is elegant yet homey. Perfect blend. I like it for its slightly higher difficulty level. It’s always good to have a bit of a challenge. Nice work Misty!
I’m a bit,of a sparkle person so I think I’d throw some sparkle fabrics in there a,o g with the patterned fabrics. Another really cute table runner that will work well to hang on the inside of my front door! I could even add maybe another patterned block to the length ??🫢😀
Went back & watched again. The Dresden template is actually too wide. A 15 degree triangle is narrower than a typical Dresden blade. It would change all the dimensions.
@@ruthhilsdorf3210 I agree with you, I got excited and wanted to try making this pattern, but my ruler is 15° Stack-n-Wack and the center is more then 6 inches wide. Will have to use other fabric for the circles! Oh, well. live and learn.
Dear Misty, thanks a lot for this sweet snowflake! You used a tinier Dresden template (15°), but can I also do the pattern with a "normal" wider Dresden template, the one that needs 20 blades to make a full circle? So according to my poor maths mine should be an 18°-template(?). It would definitely not look as delicate as your snowflake which make yours so special. And this snowflake might have less star legs, only 5. As I don´t use Dresdens that often I suppose it´s not worth buying the slim Dresden template just for one project. Have you ever tried out the snowflake with the wider Dresden template? Love your design, it´s delicate and beautiful. Best wishes and a great advent time! Andrea from Germany
I too wonder about that. I have the 18" creative grid Dresden ruler. If I use the same 2" mark will my Dresden come out same size,? Love it Misty. Thank you sharing.
@tsunrize4710 Hi, I have actually been thinking to start at the bottom of the template and not at the 2" mark. The further down you start, the slimmer the blade you cut. My Dresden has got a dotted line around for the 1/4" seams, I don't know whether to use that as a cut line??? Well, I suppose we'll have to try it out.
HA! I thought of the Jeopardy theme song, as well. LOL Cute tablerunner, though. I can see doing this in a lot of different colorways. Very nice tutorial.

I agree! It frustrates me to no end when they try to call any old star a "snowflake"!
Love, love, love this! I have made quite a few dresden projects, but I picked up several useful hints from this video!! Thank you! Also, thanks for no music in the background. With hearing aids, background music makes it harder to hear the instructions!
I've never been really interested in dresden, but watching you doing this stunning project, I can't wait to get my template!
I’ve always been intimidated by Dresden blocks, but your clear and stepwise tutorial makes it seem doable! Thanks for a great demo❤
What a beautiful table runner!! Thanks for the detailed instructions Misty!! I am definitely going to add this to my 2025 quilting to-do list!!
I love this pattern! Thank you Soo much! I'm making big Dresden plate tree skirts for gifts and this will be perfect to tie the tables in with the same fabrics!
Thanks. I love this project.I've already cut out my wedges. I'm making some pillows with the finished snowflake blocks.
Love this! I think this is next years Holiday project for my 5 kids!
This is such a pretty table runner, could be used as one snowflake as a center piece too! You explained everything very well, thank you, Misty.
Thank you Misty. I love snow flakes. Can’t wait to make.
Great tutorial and beautiful table runner.
Love this so pretty. And it looks like it goes together easily. I really like Dresden blocks

I love this project. What really impressed me was the pressing of the fabric it lays so flat.
Placemats, pillows, wall hanging, smaller version on towels…lovely instructions and pattern. Thank you.
I love your tablet- beautiful ! Thank you!
Btw- i love the winter snowflake😂
Beautiful winter table runner! I like to use the prairie point turner.
I really enjoyed watching this, you are so clever. May make this in future, bit busy with Christmas making right now but thought this would make a nice Spring flower version maybe with sunflower colors. Thanks! It's 7:38am here

The ides is ingenious, using the different sizes of blades changes the aesthetic of my favorite block
Hooray!! I needed something fun for January! Thanks so much!
This would be a beautiful winter quilt( mathematically challenged so would take some figuring out ). Also the winter collection is really pretty for a Christmas runner.

Looks super cool….let it snow! Such a great idea.
Aligning the turning tool on the seam was really slick! Made turning those points so easy. Overall, well done! Thanks.

Beautiful! I love snowflakes
Beautiful job Misty
I think this is adorable & it’s on my list now to make. Is there a way to make it without the special template ruler? Thank you.
I’m wondering if the MSQC small Dresden template would work. Unfortunately I don’t have that one, just the regular one which is too wide.
Went back & watched again. The Dresden template is actually too wide. A 15 degree triangle is narrower than a typical Dresden blade. It would change all the dimensions.
