I know this tutorial is from 3 years ago but I'm hoping you still receive the comments. I LOVE the way you make the star points, no stress with losing the points! Thank You Lori you are wonderful!
Love, love, LOVE! Now I know exactly what to make with all the pretty scraps from your fabric collections! The BEST part about this video is different sizes of blocks! So often they only give you one size block and it so hard to figure out how to make them smaller, you make it super easy! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!!!
Love this. You rock my world. This is by far the easiest block ever and thank you no moving over to the cutting mat and using the rotary cutter. I think because I have so many very small mini charms I going to make the smaller 9 inch star blocks and then once I have enough of those use them in a large quilt with a panel center. Your style of sewing and explaining is great for us new sewers and quilters and being able to keep those points pointy is the goal. 😊
I love watching your videos you make it so simple for us who are mentally challenged in math. Thank yoh MS Lori I love this quilt. I think I will try this with my bee vintage 10" squares❤
I love this stash buster block especially since you do not have to worry about losing your star points. Many thanks for taking the time to do this video series. I have enjoyed it so much and learned a lot. This week, I am going to buy my buckets and start cutting up all my leftovers. I am shocked that they stack up so fast, but you have given me so many easy ways to use them up.
Wow, those are so beautiful. Now I want to try making these soon. You’re very organized. I love that you have different size blocks in each container and little piles of various colours inside. Great job and tutorial. TY.
Thanks for putting in the different measurements for different sizes of blocks. That’ll save a lot of my time & saves me griefs! You make it really very easy to follow your steps with uncomplicated instructions. Thank you!
Yes, YES!!! More MORE 😂 I am sew enjoying your scrappy series.... I am just now creating my “scrap bins” THANKS- YOU” I just love having a functional way to use up my scrap fabric 😀
Thank you so much. I've made a signature quilt with this pattern. It looked amazing. I'm now going to make my grand daughters twin size quilts using Bluey fabric for the centers. Great job showing us how to use up our scraps.
I just discovered this block used in a donation quilt [I'm the lucky longarm quilter that gets to see all the fun quilt tops, and quilt them]! Loved this pattern for all the "forgiveness" it offers & using scraps. Now it's time for me to de-stash the scraps in my studio & add a few tops [quilted of course :)] to the group collection. Thanks so much Lori!!! Happy SPRING to you.
LOVE this block! Went for blacks and tans with Amish Black background for a "primitive" look! 3" finished tan print sashing and black/tan homespun checked cornerstones between blocks and inner border. SOOOO CUTE!
I love your video’s, I trying a stat block I love these, like you said you don’t see the tips off, thank you so much, keep up the wonderful work!!!!❤😊😊😊😊
So fun! I love that you don’t have to worry about the points meeting the edge of the blocks- you are definitely a Quilter’s quilter ❤️ Thanks for another great block!
This is *just* what I was looking for - a floating point star that is symmetrical rather than being squares and rectangles. Thank you so much for sharing.
I love your organizational skills for keeping your scraps manageable and this looks so fun and easy! I can't wait to make these blocks in this scrappy Criss Cross Star Series!
Thank you so much for a block that enables us to forget about the points! I’ve done two quilts with it and started a third. Plus I’ve shared it with friends who are now making quilts with it.
I love scrappy quilts and can’t throw away scraps. This series is perfect for me! Also I can’t resist vintage containers and pans and love to repurpose them.
I love scrappy quilts and your Scrap Your Stash tutorials are awesome! I watch them several times and cannot wait until the next one! Thank you Lori! You are so inspiring! ❤️

Thank you Lori This will be the block after christmas, You are an amazing lady and so so creative and I have learned a lot but I still re watch your videos until get everything done the way you taught us mine don't always turn out as good as yours but it is so much fun in learning even for me at my old age. I have just started trying to get me some bins so i can start cutting my extra fabric into squares for doing projects later. I Thnk You So Much for sharing your knowledge and tips and tricks you are a great teacher.
Merry Christmas! This is my first video of your YT Channel. I loved what I saw and learned. I’ma Real newbie and this pattern looks inviting to try. Thank you got your simple but details instructions.

I'm so enjoying your sew your scraps series. This quilt would be great for a baby quilt. Also, thank you for sharing the different size options for the blocks. For those of us who are really good at cutting off the star points, this pattern is just wonderful! LOL! Merry Christmas!
Thank you so very much for this tutorial. I've made my wife a queen sized quilt. Piecing together and sewing was a breeze. Now I'm hand stiching for quilting. I simply cannot get the needle to load and rock, therefore every stitch is a single stitch. I'm almost halfway quilting. I want to make more quilts but using the quilt as you go method. Until seeing your tutorial I wasn't sure I could do a star pattern and not loose the tips of the points after machine quilting and then sewing the finished blocks together. BTW, I'll subscribe and see what else I can learn. Thank you so very much
Thank-you so much for these videos! I am so inspired. Merry Christmas to you and your family as well. Looking forward to all the fun quilting we will do this coming year!!
Lori, you make me really believe I can quilt! I have become a big fan of yours and FQS. I came back to crossstitch two years ago and now I just want to crossstitch and sew all the time.
