THANK YOU Lori for not playing music while you’re talking in the video! I have trouble hearing when there’s competing music. I really appreciate it 💖 And thank you for this design. I won’t have time this year but next year I’m going to make this gorgeous design as placemats for my multitude of nieces and nephews. And I’ll embroider their names on each one as you’ve suggested. 👍🏼😊🌸💕
All I want for Christmas is Lori holt every single day🤣 OK I know it’s not realistic but a girl can dream. Lol I love your videos Lori thank you so much
Love it !!! I have a 221 named Estelle. I was worried about the noise she makes while sewing but have noticed your Patsy makes the same sound... what a relief !! My two go to machines are Estelle and Velma my 301, both named after my Grandmothers.
Many thanks, Lori! I love this. Nothing beats cute gingham fabric! I love the Santa hats. They are so cute and quick. I love the bonus blocks too. I have a number of bonus 1/2 square triangles that I have sewn from various projects and couldn’t decide what to do with them. Now I know. I see a lot of pillows and table runners in my future! I love your sew your stash series. It is one of my favorites. Merry Christmas
My sweet Mom made my children with their name and the year for their first christmas. She made 21 of V these over the years for her grandchildren. I have 4 grandchildren so far and it has been so fun to keep her tradition going! I’ll keep this in mind for the next one.
So cute. I love the scrappy tutorials. When I snowball any piece with a piece 2 1/2 inch or larger square I always sew a second line to use later like you did for the second project here. I recently finished a quilt for my granddaughter and was able to make a throw pillow using all the leftovers for pinwheels on the pillow top.
This is such a special block . Thank you you for sharing your love of sewing with us!❤️ I love the idea of adding your granddaughter’s name on it and have still to make myself a quilt so this will be the 1st one for me. Adding all my 4 children’s names, daughter and son’s in laws and 3 grandchildren with another on the way. I don’t embroider but I can learn and will have it mastered by the time #4 arrives! Thank you again Lori! I even cut up all my scraps and did a organized stash! My goal for 2021! Organization
Thank you so much for another fabulous sew your stash tutorial!! I can’t wait to begin making these darling Santa hats! I think I’ll make them into a quilt for when my young grandchildren come to visit at Christmas! How fun it will be for them to sleep under the Santa hats!
OMG this Santa Hat is adorable. I have 11 grandchildren and I think I will do it with their names. Also you gave me ideas for their doll quilts with all the left over. Your amazing and thank you for the lesson.
Love your Sew Your Stash series. Thank you for sharing your Santa Hat and projects. I'm already thinking about sewing Santa Hat placemats next year. My daughter's family would love them. Wish I could spend a week in your sewing room with you Lori. You are sew inspiring! See you next time.
Thank you so much for your generosity and sharing your talents with us. I look forward to the sew from your stash the most. I spent all morning cutting enough for 36 blocks this morning. Nap time then ready to start stitching. I appreciate you!
This is really cute! Thank you for sharing. I love the "automatic" shashing. I will have to watch again to write down the measurements. I love the blocks made with the leftovers, especially the one with the half square triangles.
Thank you Lori for sharing another excellent stash series video with us - such a cute holiday block! Appreciate the pretty bonus block idea too... your wonderful creative inspiration is just what we need right now.
Lori, One of my and my husband's favorite quilts is a sawtooth star quilt made with 1 1/2" triangle squares. I used French General scraps and random scraps that blended with the French General color palette. I added all different scraps in the same color family for the center square. It is so adorable. It hangs on a washstand in my dining room. If you haven't made one you should give it a try. Nothing sweeter than small blocks in a quilt. They finish at 4."
I love the way you teach to save scraps and how to sew them together and save them I cut my left over fabric from projects mostly in 2 1/2 X 2 1/2 or 5 1/2 X 5 1/2 squares and save them thanks so much for the tips
Lori, this is such a cute project! I love it when you can get more than one project completed with little to no waste! The Sew your stash series is so inspiring and helpful for ideas on how to use what you have ! Keep these coming! God Bless!
You are amazing! That Santa Hat Block is sooo cute and with your granddaughter's name on it.... it's just precious! Thank you for all of these scrappy ideas!
Lori, I’m really enjoying this series. Thank you so much, not just for the awesome ideas, but for the help with things to pay attention to, good ironing techniques, and accurate sewing , I can’t tell you how useful it is to this beginner. Merry Christmas to you and yours. 🎅🏻🎄
I can think of so many other projects to make with this fun block. Accent pillows, placemats, table runners, tree skirt, the possibilities are practically endless! ❤❤❤❤
I really love how you take the time to explain each step I’ve learned so much from you, and I’ve been cutting for years that just goes to show you, you don’t know everything there is to know about piecing a quilt ! Thanks so much for all your effort and I hope you have a very merry Christmas❣️🧵✂️🥰❤️💕
