    Jenny is my favorite of the many tutorial teachers. Always clear and to the point. No chit chat between steps. The Ohio Star is a favorite.
    I’ve made potholders and trivets! Now ready to make a throw! Jenny, you’re the best. I also enjoy the triple videos with Misty, you and Natalie.

    I made a small quilt using Ohio Star pattern 20 years ago. The quilt has been used and used to the point that it is worn out. I've been wanting to make this same quilt again and this tutuorial is fantastic so much easier than the original way that I first used. Thank you Jenny for so generously sharing your wealth of knowledge, I love your tutorials and have make so many quilts just by following your quick and easy methods of cutting and piecing.

    Gorgeous! Jenny, you're so right. Because I'm a perfectionist, often times I can't finish my projects because I feel they aren't perfect and it gives me a mental block, so I have learned over the years that finished really is better than perfect.

    When you have the 1" strips left from the Ohio Star quilt middle squares, sew them together to make what I call "Matchsticks" for borders. Just love these videos. It doesn't take long to make full size quilt tops with you.

  • @HRHDMKYT
    @HRHDMKYT 6 лет назад

    I adore this wonderful pattern! I have many "pairs" of matching charm packs, bought with no particular quilt pattern in mind. If I used something else for the centre squares (maybe the border fabric, or 2-3 complimentary colour FQ's), I could get away with only 2 matching charm packs because there are exactly 42 blocks, needing 42 pairs of charms. Terrific idea. Thanks MSQC!!

    If you want each hour glass to be four inches in total, you have to use six inch blocks instead of five inch blocks. If you want each block to be twelve inches instead of eleven inches you have to use squares that are at least six inches each.

    Gorgeous, as usual :) Please tell me how, other than being a professional organization, HOW you managed to keep that Huge quilt so FLAT and un-puckered ?! Besides the beautiful fabrics, it's just simply a beautifully done quilt. Thanks so much Jenny for you and your videos ~ and your store of course :)

      +Stephanie Pack Just make sure you're not pulling or tugging on your fabrics as you run it through the machine! It also helps to alternate which direction you're going as you sew your rows together :) Good luck!

      Ah, Alternate! I try to remember that, but usually get mixed up when sewing and give up. Thanks for the reminder ;) I will try harder.
