I bought one of these after testing an evo 10 and an m3 and the tts feels wayyyyy more composed at speed around a corner, it is incredible. Looks excellent on the outside and the interior is the best at this price point without a doubt. Build quality is great but the rear seats are for small children or midgets. Buy one. Theyre great.
This is an amazing car! I drove the Porche Boxster & Cayman before buying the TTS last year, weeks after it came on the market and from the moment I sat in and started her up I knew I'd made the right decision. I dont believe anyone can slam this car unless you own it or have driven it for more than a test drive!
Id like to see him drive the newer TT-RS now to see his feeling back to back. That new RS model can make hero's out of complete goons and in good hands is just shockingly fast. Audi has dialed in the AWD chassis so well that their cars are only getting better and better... can't WAIT to get behind the wheel of the new S3 sedan.
Wassim HAMDI Had for over three years and never broken down. All I’ve paid out for is tyres, wiper blades, oil the normal things.Very reliable 😊👍 it’s on a stage one REVO now 0-60mph 4.4 secs 🏎💨
@@blackflagpirate3444 how many miles do you do in a year? I just got mine as a second car to go to work (2008 MK2 TFSI) with under 60K miles on the clock and find it amazing! But again, I'm biased as always dreamed of having one since I was 18, that was 20 years ago 🤨😉
yes for performance a 370z would be a great choice, but the difference in quality in the interior is HUGE. The audi's interior including the plastics are just so much more refined....

true, no mate my tt humps boxters, my friend has one and it just cant keep up, smashed the boxter s too last week, remapped tt is smashing out 290bhp, 4 wheel drive for the grip is second to none

i agree. just got mine about a month now. Stock form my TT-s was giving stock EVOs and STIs a good run for their money. And the TTs is under powered compared to those cars. For a week now, i'm APR stage 1. HOLY FK! not only am i driving in much better style, much better interior than the EVO and STI, i'm pretty damn quick as well.
kudos to audi for giving the TT respectable performance. 45,000 USD seems a little steep for performance you can get in a WRX at about half that price, though.
@ulcerprone True, however you have to deal with the dumpster interior, uglier styling, worse fuel efficiency, worse warranty, and you lose the prestige. I like the WRX, but if I had a choice, I would easily go with the TT-S I live in Florida and have barely seen any out here.
I 'll stick to my Civic R that never had any issues whatsoever, my Suzuki Ignis Sport for daily commute and track days, my Subaru Forester XT for family excursions and my fathers CRV. I understand your annoyance, being a German car mechanic but everyone that is a mechanic, I mean EVERYONE knows that at any price range there are way better and reliable cars, with the exception of high class Mercedes and Porches, to whom I take my hat off in respect.

in reliability survey published March 2013. Out of 100 different car makers, Honda is first, BMW in the first 20, same as Mercedes and Vw is somewhere around 60th. Judging from my experience, my family and my friends who also had Vws or BMWs, German cars are anything else but reliable. One of my closest friends bought a TT 2.0 Tfsi, he sold it after 28 months and bought a RCZ because he couldn't stand spending a week every two months driving a replace Polo, while TT was being repaired...
I would have to write a whole essay and I do not have enough space here.Let's just say that Vw group engines and transmission is a massive joke.DSG blown to hell twice, ecu once as a minimum to each car, four burned pistons on the Golf from stuck temperature thingy -sorry,don't know the English term-, blown intake while cruising at 130 kmph, the E230 engine suddenly stopped working and was replaced in warranty, the BMW couldn't brake in a straight line since the brake distributor did it's own.
i agree, defo pulls them from clarkson, he says do i think audi has finally made this a sports car, it blatently is dickface, compare a ten year old porshe to the mk1 tt and the tt blows it out the water, still blows most modern cars out the water with its speed and interior/exterior

this is pretty biased and are you really sure you want a guy faceing the camera all the time when he's driving? and you're wrong on your words, it should be inter-personal
BMW 520i, Audi A6 2.0, Audi A3 1.8 turbo, VW Golf 1.6, Vw Golf Tsi 140 hp, Mercedes E 230. Well that doesn't apply to my case then.I am a professional driver, I drive my cars in a normal way, I maintain them on time and only with original parts,I do the basic checks every three or four days, so that's not the case here. Judging from fora I've been for many years and after discussing extensively with other owners, after having two close relatives as chief engineers to two central dealers, Audi and BMW, I stand by my argument, German cars are ok IF the prize was half of what they ask.
Ahhh,German cars,a wonderful way to throw away your money. Pretty expensive for the pile of garbage that they are.Made the mistake of trusting Audi, never again,ever...
Did VW/Audi pay you to complement their DSG/S-Tronic? Because this transmission is full of faults, it is not reliable at all and costs a fortune to fix If you are buying a TTS Just stick with the manual gearbox to be in the safe side and don't listen to what he says about a second or a bit more difference in performance! Any review by Chris Harris is worth watching. FACT
Front biased four wheel drive and he power slides it. Is there anything he can't drift?

Buy the audi tts coupe, nissan 370z with touring and sport package, or audi s5. Which one would you choose and why?( Cost is not a matter)
