I absolutely love my 2008 FWD TT manual. The mk2 TT with its curvy design is no doubt the best looking version. I'm not a fan of the Mk3 and may upgrade to a 2014 a few years down the line.
Snap got the same car.The uk has manual TTs.Its a fantastic car.Pure speed demon 🏁🍻 The TTs mk2 on a REVO stage one tune has the same spec as the RS 😍The Porsche Cayman S is Also a bargain! You can pick one up for 10.500 British pounds 😳
Need for Speed Passion I’m seriously considering one of these next.... had a 225 mk1 few years back... this review and your comment might of just helped me make my mind up... thx!!!
Thinking of getting this in a few years time. Really like how much performance you get and cheap fuel economy. In the UK I've seen some in manual but I think I'd get the DSG box. Road tax is just £250 and like you said about the mpg figures which ain't bad. This car can beat cars with bigger thirstier engines for example a Mercedes SL500 5 litre V8. In the UK good TTSs are going from around 10 - 12k for a 2008 - 2013 one.
Good review... great looking coupe for someone who doesn't need as much engagement as the Boxster/Cayman. Btw, looks like you could turn up the exposure of the video a little bit.
I spoke with a friend of mine who is an Audi mechanic and he said you will need to change the timing belt at 80K miles and it will need an intake valve carbon cleaning done every 60k miles. Just follow the recommended maintenance schedule and it will be a really good car to own. I would recommend a pre-purchase inspection just like any used car. As for the suspension it is a little stiff at times in city traffic but not too stiff to daily drive in my opinion. Thanks for watching!
S Lee Ive upgraded from TT to TTS just about a year ago. What a Hugh difference. The TTS is definitely the way to go. The Quattro road holding is fantastic even at high speed near its unmodified TOP speeds. Both cars TT and TTS is wonderfully affordable to maintain. Somewhat similar to my other cars BMWs328. Only expensive item is my option on 255/35 Michelin’s- but the unmodified exhaust soundtrack is quite pleasant without shouting “boy racer”
More expensive, yes. But performance wise (both in horsepower and acceleration figures) a TTS beats a regular Boxster / Cayman and the a TT-RS beats a Boxster S / Cayman S. Does not say anything about the driver engagement but numbers wise the Porker doesn't hold anything against this Audi line-up.
So you're saying the TTS is more sporty overall than an E89 Z4? Most car reviewers and car enthousiasts on the fora don't agree with you :P I want this interior btw, it's gorgeous but very rare being an Audi Exclusive item.
Im gonna buy this for my first car first i was looking at a boxster but this is more of an elegant and simple car and i like the fact it has 4 seats even though then ain't big i can at least squeeze some friends in there legally😂
A 987 Boxster is nowadays a lot more expensive than a TTS. The Porsche is a better drivers car and you have the badge, but I think the TTS overall is a better deal. At least until the Porsche bubble snaps.
One of the best reviews of this car on YT...

absolutely !
I've got a full manual, 2012 Coupe TTS. The 0-60, is said to be 4.9 seconds, as the Coupe is lighter than the roadster. Great car 🖒

Good car. Looking forward to purchasing it for when I come to America to compete from Ireland.

Picking up a 2009 on 40k stage 2 TTS @360BHP for £13k this weekend :D
Darren Heeney any problems so far?

One question I do have is... how is the reliability of the TTS and does the suspension gets a little too stiff for everyday drives.

great vid mate i have a TT love it done a few vids on it
You talked a lot about how well it handles. but you didnt say why... Quattro
Probably going to buy a 2014 TT for my next car. Lots of value and priced very low. Used ones seem to run well over 100,000 miles.
griltig dang are you serious 🤯
Might be getting this over my dodge challenger.
What did you get?
moe hassan a 2020 Can Am Ryker Rally Addition
Looks great for its age.
Porsche is waaaaaaay more expensive and not comparable to a TT/s/rs
Thanks for your review!

Did it seem to anyone else that there was a good bit of road noise coming through? Other than that...beautiful car.

What size are those rims
The Audi TT-S in this video has 18 inch wheels.
@@slesperado no, 19
18s are standard on the TTS, 19s are optional.
