- The former Post Office Chief Executive has been quizzed by lawyers representing former sub-postmasters, on the final day of her evidence to the Horizon IT Inquiry.
She was accused of talking nonsense and being the architect of her own downfall as Sky's business correspondent Adele Robinson reports.

Prison .. she knows exactly what was going on

@@stevenclarke5606unbelievable. The sub postmasters were forced to pay money they didn’t owe which went into the PO account and she got a BONUS for making it profitable! I can’t believe they made them do that without checking or giving them the opportunity to view their transactions throughout the day. Then the PO was judge and jury and sent some of them to jail and suffer the shame in their communities. It was SO wrong.
She has all the attributes needed to be an MP next

We've been watching this inquiry and after 3 days of watching PV's lies and putting blame on others, it becomes evident she is devoid of human feelings and compassion. Despicable creature this.

In my humble opinion this, with her comments on two individual cases, is devastating it shows she was intimately familiar with the details of what was happening. Her tearful claims of ignorance ring hollow. The documents reveal so much.
Paula Vennels, P.O. Peter Hebblethwaite, P&O. Both cut from the same cloth, both deserve to be jailed.

From a distance and what most sickens me, is it despite all of the jabbing and sharp questions from council none of it is really presenting any nature of factual deliverance. This woman is evil to the core and is willing to sit here and tear up in a fake matter, and still walk out of this building at the end of the day to enjoy your weekend. How was that justice? She had better spend time in prison. Or justice isn’t absolute mockery.

I can see Paula Vennells - checking into a mental health facility next and then being "not fit to stand trial". We only have to consider Huge Jedward. and his time at the mental health facility before leaving the BBC "on medical grounds". She will get out of any prosecution and be starting some subtle PR to avoid justice.

The victim she crushed had more sorrow than Vennels did. He felt responsible he lost the fight and couldn’t save others. But it’s clear she thought the price he and others paid was acceptable if it protected the post office. Almost like the Catholic Church that crushed innocent young abuse victims to protect the name of the church. Her religious like obsession gave her absolution from her evil. Interesting from a psychological perspective she’s an Anglican priest.

Don't know why she felt the need to cry? She wasn't unjustly sent to prison, made bankrupt or had a loved one commit suicide. She is a liar, an incompetent and a total hypocrite.
