La-La land from beginning to end. Why no double-entry accounting? A legal trial-like event is not the way to debug a complex software system. It's akin to searching for a needle in the middle of the proverbial hayrick during the night. There is no mention of how the standard TCP/IP has no intrinsic method to prevent intrusion. IMHO this debacle has amply demonstrated that it is impossible to achieve anything approachimg fair justice when the legal protagonists have little or no professional knowledge about the functioning of possible causes of the apparent abstraction of cash from the clients accounts. For Justice to be done all the sub-postmasters need to have their overall situations fully restored to the status they enjoyed before this pile of incompetent software was imposed on them.
I hope Fujitsu are going to be removed from the list of approved suppliers of computer equipment and software to the
      United Kingdom government and Quangos.
Finally:- Remember the addage about the letters I. B. and M they stand in for the phrase:-
      "It's Better Manually".
In this particular situation it is particularly true.

She also made sure she personally dealt with the PO guy who was also a Magistrate. She needs jailed for a very long time and should lose everything as they poor innocent people did. Such a pathetic person. Elevated to a level of management they should never have been awarded. I support IT systems that manage the housing stock of a local authority. It manages tenancies and rents as well as repairs, temporary accommodation and so much more. If we get a sniff of an issue with a single customers records or data in our system or whole subsets of our system we are on it like a rash. Our software supplier hates us because we have our own knowledge sets and methods of fixing IT Defects or issues such that we can hold them to account for resolving them and in a timely manner. So what, she cried for 2 minutes, innocent people have been crying for 20 years, along with loosing their house & being shunned from society.
What's bigger is why it is only getting acted on because of a soap opera.

On your bike Vennells! You have been found wanting and no amount of tears will wash that away.
Those two lawyers are certainly not holding back in letting her know the total incompetent she was.
What's the betting she moves abroad when it's all over?

They’ll take the massive pay cheques, and the huge pensions with all that authority, but when it comes down to the *responsibility*, they fake crying… this woman should be in prison, just under Manslaughter Charges for the deaths through this debacle.

    She pretends to cry!
    She loved the Post Office!
Just not enough to care about the people in the the actual Post Offices!
She is a liar and must be held accountable, chances of that happening zero.
    Jail for her!!!!!

A typical person in a high position
She showed complete compassion and took difficult decisions daily to jail innocent people.
It wasn't me, it was someone else. I'm just in charge
Ita unacceptable now but at the time he was fair game

Take all the money from her and help to reimburse the loss of the sub- postmasters and then find money from what's left and the other POL mob to try to compensate them. Don't think there will be enough, though. But take as much as possible even if it means them living on the street. And the ministers as well.

PV asked for background info on the mental health of a complainant who killed himself. How was she intending to pursue this? Data theft, burglary, bribery of officials, phone hacking? Sounds illegal.

It begs the question - What’s she covering up in her present job?
Could you imagine if she was embroiled in an NHS scandal too.
I’d have thought she was the last thing the NHS needs…

Kept on asking for the questions to be repeated, knowing full well that they were only given an hour to question her.
Desperately trying to hide the truth that she deliberately ensured that the post office staff would be prosecuted and punished, whilst knowing that they were innocent.
And all of that to just keep her job 🤬
