Curtis Williams of course he’s gonna build it right. He’s sponsored, he’s a youtuber with the money to afford it, and he has an audience, he has to do it right lmao. Most people who go cheap don’t have those type of factors
FascLnatLon I'm not a RUclipsr have a family and have to save for everything I have for my car but I have never cheaped out on any parts for my build. It just takes time and dedication.
Love the ITR build, but don't love the lighting in the garage. I can't see anything you're doing in the wheel well. Please get a light from Lowe's or home Depot! THANKS FOR THE CONTENT!
You can get sweet lights from Lowe’s that are meant to replace fluorescent fixtures. Cheap and really bright, swapped fixtures out for those many times.
Daniel Brown I'm more partial to the Del Sol. Also because I like small cars. I really want a foxbody but that's pushing my comfort level. Nice miata man, I miss my red NA. It was my first miata.
I like where this build is going!! By the way 9:05 adjusting the height from the spring perch will change the spring preload, not the best way to do it cause the preload might be set to the ‘correct amount’ from K-Tuned
However, if you use the locking collars on the spring perch you can rotate the entire shock body further into or out of the lower mount to adjust height without having to remove the coilover.
Was just about to chime in with this. You wanna twist the whole body not mess with the preload. The way your guy described preload is also wrong lol. Every manufacturer has a suggested preload that you set with the coilover off the car..
I love that you got a project car and I absolutely LOVE the fact you got a Honda. Now days everyone is getting the same mix of cars and I feel this shows your eclectic taste and I feel thats what everyone loves about your videos!
I just attempted changing my lower control arms 2 days ago... Every bolt was completely seized by rust from driving on NYC roads! I'm so jealous that it was so easy for your bolts to be removed!
We appreciate you showing hondas some love . One of my first builds when I got into the scene back in 2000. Obviously moved on but you have inspired me to build one again . Definitely will be better cause I have money now to build something legit lol so definitely do something awesome.
I’m so glad he touched base on preloading bushings, tons of people are unaware of it. Which is why people always say “X manufacturer is garbage because my bushings blew in 4 months”.
When dealing with old bolts, PB BLASTER/LIQUID WRENCH are your best friends! Nice work! Though the front looks like it could come down alittle bit more...see how it looks in two weeks after the springs settle.
Seam sealer isn't a replacement for stitch welding. Glue doesn't make it more rigid. It's there to cover up where sections of the body are joined together to keep out the elements and stop corrosion. There's a reason most racecars are stripped of all seam sealant and stitch welded. None the less, I'm glad to see you're doing well Dave! I'm liking the direction this build is going!
Hope you will put more effort into the cinematics again for 2018, buddy. Vloggin stuff is all good but I miss your crazy crane shots and landscape footage. It all had such a sweet mood to it. Happy new year from germany!
About time I been waiting for you to mod this thing. 👍🏾😀 You look better as a Honda guy then a ruststang guy lol jp I love the stang to. David you starting off to a right start my man keep it up bro. Don’t listen to the ricers in the comments, saying ktune coilover are junk cause their not that was a good buy. Keep it up bro love you’re videos, I may have to make a video, about your comment section alone. Lol
Don't forget to do the compensator arm bushings, and a traction bar or strut rod bushings. Those will really help. Good to hear you're going spherical trailing arm bushings. What's the plan for sway bars?
Hey ThatDudeinBlue! I'm loving the integra, and i'm loving your channel as a whole. I've been watching for a while, and you have some great stuff. I am especially loving this build because this is what I want to do to my integra. Keep it up man. :)
I've kept my Integra stock and the only future modes I plan to do is to give it new bones when it gets too old. It's a 2001 with 126k km on it still runs mint.
get the subframe brace to connect both rear lca's, it makes a difference and would look more complete in the rear. I had function 7 lca and subframe brace and it did a big difference.
Koolaidrank Andy subframe brace alone does absolutely nothing. The entire purpose of them is to add reinforcement for the mounting of a beefy swaybar. Swaybars are what actually has an effect
Well of course the sway bar is extremely a performance upgrade but youre right the subframe brace is like strut bar but under basically. It still stiffen up the chassis
Get a 22mm rear swaybar. The biggest difference you can make with this car. You can get the OEM type r, or Progress Technology makes an adjustable one with a subframe brace that I've had for a little over a year and it's the best thing I ever bought for my car. I notice a huge difference in every adjustment. I leave mine in the middle for daily/spirited driving and go full stiff for the track.
I had real favorable results when I changed the rear sway bar. Yes, those coil-overs are sweet but dollar per dollar, sway bar. What spring rates did you run in your coil-overs? I found that even rates gave me a nice neutral ride, great for the track and road. Honda likes under steer because it is safe but, if you can drive, neutral is so much better. If your coil-overs came with uneven spring rates switching the springs will take out the under steer and makes your car lightning fast on the track. I street my car so it is all neutral for me. Best wishes.
If you can get the thicker sway/anti roll bars from the type R that'll make a noticeable difference. The 98 spec JDM ones are the thickest. 23mm in the rear IRC. That rear control arm bushing you've left to do another day, I know new uprated shiny bits are tempting :) but I would _really_ stick with stock new Honda on that. It's a major part of how that suspension works and part of what gave the Teg its reputation as such a good handling car and Honda have a couple of patents on it(it's one part they didn't change when they built the R version). Stick something "uprated" in there and the car will be more twitchy at the rear end in corners and under heavy braking. Oh and you can tap them out without a press. Not easy, but doable. They go in(IIRC) from the inside to out and the stock ones are slightly tapered to allow that("upgrades" often aren't).
A wide body with some sticky wide tires would be interesting on this build tbh, not sure what would be considered wide on this car tbh though since they come with like 185s stock I’d assume?
Love this! Makes me want to pull my teg out of the garage and continue my build. I know you will eventually turbo it. Been wanting to boost mine since I bought it.
Ugh I want a usdm teg so bad... but I also want a Subaru... and like 20 other cars lol. I bought a 96 GSR with a JDM front and JDM Type R B18C but a few days later found out the rockers were totally rotted (hidden by the side skirts). When I went to put jack stands under it the rear pinch welds totally crumpled and the car fell off the jack! Now I have an ej6 (ek hatch) and I'm going to try to use as many parts off the teg for it and then part out the Integra. It's sad but live and learn... right? Good luck on this project, I'm looking forward to see what you do with it, but so far I like what I see! :)
You can just use a hammer to knock in the rear trailing arm bushings (and to knock out the old ones), they aren't all that tight, I sprayed a bit of WD-40 white lithium grease in there and it didn't take a ton of hammer force to knock them in - you won't distort the bushing's outer metal ring. I've heard aftermarket one's like Hardrace and Spoon are tighter.
So cool that the integra has those removable covers in the trunk to get to the top of the strut, I had to rip out all of my trunk interior to get to them on my tC 😂😂
enjoying the build so far i own a ukdm dc2 type r my second one sadly it been off the road for 2 years now as it needs a lot of but im hoping to able to start working on it again this year. looking forward to seeing more updates on your teg
David, I have 0 knowlege working on cars with coilovers. I have a civic on my channel, and this video was really thorough thanks to you and your friend. DEFINITELY make more like these! They help a lot and it's a tutorial in itself even if you don't intend it to be!
I have a 94 Acura Integra LS, and I am trying to replace the shocks, struts, rotors, and tires. What do you guys suggest for each. I want it just for regular use, no racing. Thanks. Great videos.
One thing to watch out for. After you put in aftermarket suspension parts, the people doing the alignment cant go off factory specs. And sometimes they do, and give you back a fucked up alignment. So you'll probably have to pay more, and have them get it as close as they can. And the place I went, they charged double, because I was using coil overs.
I hope you have some plans to put in a better performane-oriented transmission in that car, I'm assuming you have the stock LS transmission right now which has loooooooong gears.
Thanks for watching you guys! I hope all of you have a wonderful New Years and be safe.
ThatDudeinBlue are you gonna run in smf or does ga region scca have a different class
ThatDudeinBlue and no one drink and drive be safe!
Possibly a rhd convertion?

So glad a RUclipsr with a big fan base is building a Honda! In it for this series you got!
mcm with the s2k?
I see you! ;)
and lets not forget the hondafied mini eh :-)
Phantaam yeah but no one can hate on s2ks like u can a fwd honda
Go check out boostedboiz.. That's all honda
You know why I’m here. 😎
Zosh what you lookin for bro he’s doing your build backwards 😂
I see you
Zosh knew you would be here in the comments 👌
Ayyy i thought you comment 😂
Thank you for building your Integra rite and not half ass like alot of people do!
Kenneth K that's exactly what I was saying. You took the words rite out of my mouth brother!
right*
Too bad it's kind of a weak giveaway car. Trevor from MotionAutoTv built a badass 240sx mostly out of his own pocket.
So awesome to see this build come to life! :)
Love the ITR build, but don't love the lighting in the garage. I can't see anything you're doing in the wheel well. Please get a light from Lowe's or home Depot! THANKS FOR THE CONTENT!
CommandoPG
I agree a couple overhead LEDs would work.
CommandoPG pretty sure it's not a type r
You can get sweet lights from Lowe’s that are meant to replace fluorescent fixtures. Cheap and really bright, swapped fixtures out for those many times.
I'm positive it's not an ITR. Maybe he's saying he building it to ITR spec? Which he isn't lol
CommandoPG I agree! Something similar to Taylor Ray’s setup makes a world’s difference.
love the look of integras. always had a soft spot for them
Daniel Brown I'm more partial to the Del Sol. Also because I like small cars. I really want a foxbody but that's pushing my comfort level. Nice miata man, I miss my red NA. It was my first miata.

this.
However, if you use the locking collars on the spring perch you can rotate the entire shock body further into or out of the lower mount to adjust height without having to remove the coilover.
smart cookie idk why people think doing it the other way works
Was just about to chime in with this. You wanna twist the whole body not mess with the preload. The way your guy described preload is also wrong lol. Every manufacturer has a suggested preload that you set with the coilover off the car..
Nothing says a better way to start the day like an iced coffee from dunks and a ThatDudeInBlue morning upload!
I love that you got a project car and I absolutely LOVE the fact you got a Honda. Now days everyone is getting the same mix of cars and I feel this shows your eclectic taste and I feel thats what everyone loves about your videos!

So happy to see you building a Honda car! Keep up the good work on these videos! Cheers
I’m so glad he touched base on preloading bushings, tons of people are unaware of it. Which is why people always say “X manufacturer is garbage because my bushings blew in 4 months”.

Big fan of this format
love that your showing this build and that not every Honda sits on cut springs and deleted converters.
Josh reppn" the GT-R Festival shirt. Nice.
Hope you will put more effort into the cinematics again for 2018, buddy. Vloggin stuff is all good but I miss your crazy crane shots and landscape footage. It all had such a sweet mood to it. Happy new year from germany!
Ive never actually seen anyone ever do suspension in a honda like that before so it was interesting to figure what all does what! Thank you!
Never clicked on a video so fast! Hope to see you at gridlife david😁
Miton Films shut up
Bryan Ortiz shut the fuck up before you get yourself hurt
I was rolling through a mall parking lot in my 2014 GT and had a lady yell at me “you have all that noise but you ain’t going no where”😂
Justin Cox more cool to not draw attention to your self from a obnoxious exhaust especially when you ain’t going anywhere fast
Soooooo good to see David with a Honda / Acura vehicle!
Lol
SI RICKO I see you in a lot of comment sections haha mostly shutting down ricers and Honda haters 👍🏼
F Lorenzo lol got to my man it’s a must.
Just bought a 1990 integra with a b20 in it. Happy u made this series man
this is the best kind of videos you create. this builds!! awesomeness!!
Bro excited to see where this integra is going, I see lots of potential. Good video, enjoyed watching it 😎👍🏼
Such a pretty, simple, clean design
Borat reference + car video = great success
Smart move David! I love how unique this build is :) Keep up what you're doing my dude
Don't forget to do the compensator arm bushings, and a traction bar or strut rod bushings. Those will really help. Good to hear you're going spherical trailing arm bushings. What's the plan for sway bars?
Like you said in the video having the right tool for the job makes things go so much faster
I love little Hondas. They are such clever toys, and great bang for buck potential.
Hey ThatDudeinBlue! I'm loving the integra, and i'm loving your channel as a whole. I've been watching for a while, and you have some great stuff. I am especially loving this build because this is what I want to do to my integra. Keep it up man. :)
When we did the suspension on my dad's 65 Nova it was so jacked but it looks tons better with the 2 inch drop
Finally some real modifications, I see all these people on RUclips now talking about “first mod on my car bro” and all they put is tint or stickers!
You can do trailing arm bushings with a socket. Very easy.
Recommend getting a ASR or Function 7 rear subframe brace and a larger rear sway bar such as a ITR RSB. Fantastic setup for the money.
You need better lightning in your garage bro
SuperiorRedneck why? He just use it for parking space as he cant wrench for shit
just dont film toward the door. its simple logic
Thor can help.
lightning?? - what the fuck is he Tesla building a coil?
I don't even wait for the video to start before I give it a like because I know I'm gonna love it
I've kept my Integra stock and the only future modes I plan to do is to give it new bones when it gets too old. It's a 2001 with 126k km on it still runs mint.
It looks so much better already!!
get the subframe brace to connect both rear lca's, it makes a difference and would look more complete in the rear. I had function 7 lca and subframe brace and it did a big difference.
Koolaidrank Andy I was gonna say this too. Subframe brace kits really transform these things.

Hand tooling it like were in the stone age.
Can’t wait for this project to finish. I want to see what you’ll do with this
Need to get rid of that stank exhaust
Stank Exhaust?
Faded Jate yeah that rusty pipe coming out the back.
Will happen dude. If i remember correctly he ordered a new exhaust.
Is that your STI bro?
Savage 101 hell yeah it is!
FAVOURITE PROJECT ON RUclips!!!!!!!!

Stoked cause these cars are really fun
When you have a honda and now buy k tunes shirts, lol......love the series
Life for dummies Honda enthusiast over night lol
He got sponsored by them lol so he’s doing it for the free parts
Can honestly say it the first time i see a full interior/trunk integra
If you can get the thicker sway/anti roll bars from the type R that'll make a noticeable difference. The 98 spec JDM ones are the thickest. 23mm in the rear IRC.

I love watching these videos so much more, glad to see you get your hands dirty keep up the great work.👍
Hey man, get some Lady Slipper Pry Bars, long and short. They really help out with suspension work.
This video was darker than my pornhub history
Yay!!! More Monica!!
John Moua just Monika
JUST MONIKA
I have been waiting patiently for ep2
Progress! Excited to see where things go with this project
K-Tuned coilovers are bad ass. Love them on my FA5.
I like the integra build on this channel it’s different 🤙🏽
Super pumped your building a Integra
A wide body with some sticky wide tires would be interesting on this build tbh, not sure what would be considered wide on this car tbh though since they come with like 185s stock I’d assume?
Love this! Makes me want to pull my teg out of the garage and continue my build. I know you will eventually turbo it. Been wanting to boost mine since I bought it.
Do you have any plans for power, or did I miss it? I loved my Integra GSR on 7psi of boost!
i love this video. very classic david working on cars!! thumbs UP!
Ugh I want a usdm teg so bad... but I also want a Subaru... and like 20 other cars lol. I bought a 96 GSR with a JDM front and JDM Type R B18C but a few days later found out the rockers were totally rotted (hidden by the side skirts). Loving the new integra project man!
Cool build so far. I think the front end is still higher than the rear end.
Man my GSR needs all that. Nice job.

I hope David puts his Integra nice and balanced suspension wise
Love your Integra vids! Can't wait to see what's next!
Dude, finally!!
Love your videos David keep up the good work man glad your in the Honda game now
Great video man! Excited to see the progress on this one!
Loving this series bro
Great video as always ! Keep it up, I'm looking forward to part 3
Needs a rear chassis sub frame reinforcement and sway bar . siiick tho
So cool that the integra has those removable covers in the trunk to get to the top of the strut, I had to rip out all of my trunk interior to get to them on my tC 😂😂
lol as soon as i start working on my teggy your vid pops up, guess today is a good day to work on teggy's huh
enjoying the build so far i own a ukdm dc2 type r my second one sadly it been off the road for 2 years now as it needs a lot of but im hoping to able to start working on it again this year. looking forward to seeing more updates on your teg

David when you can get some yellow ebc brakes they will help a lot
Bro awesome your building a teggy I still have mine a 95 gsr building that and my 05 tsx thanks for building a awesome lil car 🚗
Alien broadcast from 3:00 - 3:05
Brandon DK lol
I have a 94 Acura Integra LS, and I am trying to replace the shocks, struts, rotors, and tires. What do you guys suggest for each. I want it just for regular use, no racing. Thanks. Great videos.

cant wait to see this build finished 😌
Oh yay! Another K tuned build....
Sarcasm.
you should get 1320 Performance Ram Headers for the Integra! I have it and its amazing. (if you are going all motor)
What was the point of using a rear lower control arm too? All you “needed” was the camber adjuster right?
I hope you have some plans to put in a better performane-oriented transmission in that car, I'm assuming you have the stock LS transmission right now which has loooooooong gears.
Makes me think of the Realtime SCCA Integras. Damn, did they look nice!
I love the borat: "great success"
Could anyone tell me where I could find Josh's GT-R t-shirt ? It looks pretty damn good. I know it's a t-shirt from Motive, but can't find it !
Lover your vids David, I can't wait to see more of this thing!!!
Hey David, looks like the Integra build is going over pretty good with the rest of your subs 😁 Teg is getting a good amount of views.
Full K tuned goodies yes!
