My theory is that the person Malory was recording the negotiation between Shetty and her to use the virus to kill off the supes was Butcher I could be wrong tho but I feel like one way or another Butcher is going to find out about the virus and if accomplished in the show, after killing Homelander will try to use it to wipe out the Supes and is either stopped by Hughie or Ryan or both, assuming if like in the comics, he ends up mercing the rest of The Boys.

There were literal movies that soldier boy did in universe. Songs he sang. Interviews. Etc. Very likely she’s seen footage of him. Plenty of people have in this universe

You should read some fanfiction about superheroes, that's about how they behave there. This is a case where reality coincided with fantasy.

@@randyangel9412 The kid ends up dead while they're exploring Cate's next memory. One of the next memories they go to is when Cate first met Golden Boy. Golden Boy starts talking to the real them and begins using his powers. Their own powers don't work, so that kid tries to make a run for it and ends up getting splattered by Golden Boy. We never see that guy again, even after they wake up, so presumably he's also dead outside of the dream.
They're implying that him trying to relate to, and fistbump Soldier Boy(friend) is what got him killed. He wasn't technically supposed to be there. He just got dragged in due to his proximity to Cate when she triggered the dream sequence. Rotten luck.

This scene is funny but it bugs me that this imaginary version of Soldier Boy has the same personality as the real one. If this is all happening inside Cate's imagination, it seems like his personality should be closer to the Vought-approved version that Cate would have seen in movies. That version of SB would probably behave a lot more like Steve Rogers. Heroic, noble and kind, not vulgar and aggressive.
Someone on another video said that it's probably just the way people write fanfics about superheroes and they're nothing like they're portrayed in media but that's just their kink, only for this version to be really similar to reality 😂
