@@darkpartizan well his shield was able to withstand both butcher AND Homelander heat vision at the same time at full power, so I would assume his skin can handle too. Granted the shield DID finally break but the shield wasn't indestructible like soldier boy

I didn’t think anybody could outshine Homelander, but Soldier Boy carried this season on his back. Dude had me rooting for him by the end. Hope they bring him back in future seasons.

The craziest thing is they made soldier boy out to be a good guy in the end sort of when Butcher betrayed him while he was willing to kill his own son for the greater good. A soldier indeed

It's a difficult balance to play a character who's an awful person and for the audience to want to see more and IMO Jensen played it perfectly. Hope to see soldier boy appear again.

@@kamui4708 Starlight was absolutely useless this season. Nothing she did actually stopped Homelander and even got her friend killed. She could not even stop Soldier Boy, Maeve had to tackle him out of a window to save everyone.
She kept harping about Butcher and Hughie for teaming up with a murderer, conveniently forgetting she also killed a civilian and was not remorseful about it.
She also does not seem to have any alternative at all for stopping Homelander. As Homelander's fans shown, they would support him no matter what he does. What is trying to bully him on social media going to do?
She just proved how useless trying to be a moral and virtuous person really is.

Jensen was perfectly casted. Plus he brought 67% increase in popularity of this show. Which seems almost impossible because the show was already packed with super popular people. But it's his power I guess

Everybody missed Dean Winchester after Supernatural ended, myself included. But I knew about the Boys before he was casted. Still good!
I started streaming the show mid-way through the third season. it had nothing to do with jensen but the quality of the show. his addition made it so much better.

Having absolutely been sold on Butcher & Homelander for 3 seasons, had no idea that 1 character could outshine the regulars....but Jensen Ackles just absolutely killed the role of SB!!! Even made us root against the favorites!!! Way to go, Dean!!!

Noir deserved it, you don’t challenge the man in charge. Try to be better than the people more powerful, they’ll put you down… that’s how power holds power, that’s how it works everywhere. Most underrated actor… Jensen Ackles. I will never forget the first time I’ve see him in supernatural Dean Winchester… he’s such a badass in that show and The Boys ofc! I would love to see him in more future projects !!

Yep, Jensen is great in the role. Although 15 seasons would be way too much for this kind of show though. Supernatural had the luxury of going through every kind of supernatural mythology that exists. The Boys definitely can't keep Homelander unhinged for such a long time without consequences.

Jensen outdid himself as Soldier Boy. Not only did he prove everyone wrong who thought he'd always be seen as Dean Winchester, he managed to outshine Homelander who's been a fan favorite since the show started.

Normally, I would say I am glad he wasnt killed off after one season but I dont think the boys could have killed Soldier boy even if they wanted to. He was the hightlight of season 3.

You know, it is really interesting to see someone that not only has strength, but training too. Homelander is strong, but he has never faced anyone strong enough to have an actual fight. Homelander has lived his whole life using laser eyes or punching people straight through buildings, but Soldier Boy has strength too, and he knows how to fight. Biggest example being when Homelander slams him into the wall. Homelander started the attack, but Soldier Boy ended up with the advantage when he punches him in the jaw which clearly dazes Homelander, then throws HIM into the wall, because Soldier Boy knows that you never want to be stuck in a corner.
Homelander beat him and Butcher and he has training as well. All Homelander did was train growing up. However he has no use for advanced skills when he’s far above 99.9% of opponents. He got complacent but he still won a 1v2.

Keep in mind, this 8 minute compilation is roughly half of his total screentime in the show. Really goes to show you exceptionally written and performed he is, given the big impression he leaves on the viewer in so little time.
He has like maybe 15 minutes of screen time in the entire season, or 3 episodes. You can still make a character leave a big impact and make them a favorite in no time at all.
Nice detail showing Soldier Boy had some degree of respect for homelander after their first fight. At least he believed he had the balls to take on him, butcher and hughie at the same time. He only regarded Homelander as a disappointment after seeing him acting as the big cry baby he s in the inside.

Soldier Boy was the highlight of this season! Jensen Ackles was PHENOMENAL
The way Jensen says, "You're just a cheap f*cking knockoff," is so satisfying.
How did he not win the Saturn award? No offense to Hayden Christensen. He did a good job, but Jensen was amazing as soldier boy. The character was well written, and Jensen did an excellent job playing him. Also, he should get an award just for the muscles. Who gets that ripped in such a short amount of time?
Hayden did not deserve it because he was barely in Kenobi. And that's on the show for not using him enough, it pains me to think about the missed potential for maskless Vader and more Anakin flashbacks.
Anyway I'm not talking too much about that on this video.
Jensen absolutely killed it and Soldier Boy absolutely stole the show. He definitely deserved the award a lot more.

He kinda did have one, in his own way. Literally every person I’ve spoken to about Season 3 has said they were rooting for Soldier Boy to win by the end. He came in this season and won the audience over.
This is honestly my favorite season by far. Jensen Ackles did such an amazing job. I would either love to see him come back for more seasons or see him get a spin-off as this character. Because he killed it and unfortunately for the rest of the crew now they're going to have to really up their game and make the next season just that little bit better.

Major highlight of season 3. The heel of the show became the most respected of the season. And he topped Homelander. And I love Homelander!

It was like they were trying to make us hate Soldier Boy through MM, but Soldier Boy was so genuine and likeable, that it actually made me dislike MM's single-minded obsession with and irrational hatred of him. The writers even had MM call him "racist" when they'd given us no evidence or depiction of Soldier Boy actually being racist, which means MM was simply using it as an insult for someone he dislikes, which is pretty ignorant.
